## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-27

Yapcut 1.5 makes choosing your best takes quicker.

• Swipe through ready-made versions of your video
• Your newest takes first, with long silences trimmed for you
• More camera control when you film with your Mac
• Smaller fixes and performance improvements

### 1.4 — 2026-10-27

Yapcut 1.4 makes filming with your iPhone and Mac work even better together.

• Read your script on your Mac while you film
• Film sideways when your Mac is the monitor
• Faster, more accurate transcripts
• A quick look at what Yapcut for Mac can do, right in setup
• Smaller fixes and performance improvements

### 1.3 — 2026-10-25

Yapcut 1.3 lets you film with your iPhone's best camera and watch yourself on your Mac.

• Yapcut for Mac: use your Mac as the monitor for your iPhone's back camera
• Your takes come to your Mac on their own
• Keep takes without talking as clips
• Smaller fixes and performance improvements

### 1.2 — 2026-10-23

Yapcut 1.2 makes filming smoother and adds a better way to pass the time while your video saves:

• The selfie camera is upright on iPhone 17, and flipping between cameras stays upright and correctly mirrored.
• Write with AI: keep your new script in one tap.
• The teleprompter settings are tidier: "Edit whole script" now sits right under "Show teleprompter".
• The arcade has been rebuilt with four games to play while your video saves: Yap Pop, Yap Squad, Long Yap and Yappy Bird.
• Onboarding: Continue always works, even while a demo is still playing.
• Smaller fixes and performance improvements.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-22

Yapcut 1.1 makes filming and fixing your video faster:

• Fix a word once and change it everywhere in your video. Yapcut remembers your names and words for the next recording.
• Pick your mic when AirPods or another mic is connected. Yapcut uses the iPhone mic unless you choose another.
• Record a missing script line straight from Pick.
• Play a quick game while your video saves.
• More reliable on-device transcription and take detection, including on older iPhones.
• Fixes for video preview playback, captions and first-time transcription setup.

Choose your best takes, finish your edit, and save or share your video.
