## What is Yard Routine?

Stop killing your landscaping by guessing. Yard Routine gives you personalized outdoor monthly plant care schedules based on your exact climate zone, soil type, sunlight, and water availability. Know exactly what to do for each plant in your yard, and when to do it.

Smart Plant Identification
Snap a photo and instantly identify what's growing in your yard. Our plant recognition analyzes your image and provides common names, scientific classification, and confidence scores so you know you've got the right match, and will let you know what to expect about growing it in your yard.

Honest, Location-Aware Recommendations
Not every plant belongs in every yard. Before you waste money on something that won't survive your conditions, get straight answers. We'll tell you if a plant is a poor fit for your hardiness zone, or if it will thrive.

Personalized Monthly Care Plans
Generic gardening advice doesn't work. Your clay soil needs different care than sandy loam. Your shaded side yard has different needs than your sunny front bed. Set up your yard conditions once, and every care plan adapts to your specific situation.

Never Miss Critical Timing
Pruning too early ruins spring blooms. Fertilizing too late wastes money. Get month-by-month task schedules that tell you exactly what to do and why. Tasks include detailed, conversational instructions—not just "water plant" but "water deeply once weekly; your clay soil holds moisture longer than sandy soils."

Weather-Triggered Reminders
Some tasks depend on conditions, not calendars. Get alerts for pest watch during warm spells, frost protection before freezes, and seasonal adjustments based on actual weather patterns.

Organize Complex Yards
Track multiple yard or garden zones with different conditions. Front bed in full sun, side yard in shade, container plants on the patio—each area gets care plans tailored to its unique environment.

Free vs Premium:
Start free with up to 5 plants. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited plants and full access to all care plan features.

What You Get:
- Photo-based plant identification with confidence scores
- Zone-specific suitability assessments
- Custom monthly task schedules

### 5/5 — Love this app!!!

*2026-03-22*

Straightforward app that works perfectly!!!

### 5/5 — Yarn Care Made Simple

*2026-03-22*

This app takes all the guesswork out of gardening! It is so easy to navigate. I began by labeling my different garden areas which sets the foundation for information on growing techniques. It’s as simple as taking a picture of your plant for the program to identity. You then choose which garden location it is growing in. With this information, the app will describe all the care needed for the specific plant. What I really appreciate is using the Care Calendar which shows me when and what I should be doing for each plant month to month including mulching, fertilizing with specific fertilizer ratios, pruning, watering quantities and much more. I just love having all this information at my fingertips on my phone instead of carrying my plant folders full of information out into my gardens! Try it! It’s amazing!

### 5/5 — Best guide ever!!!!

*2026-03-21*

This app is the best guide I’ve seen for maintaining a beautiful yard. It’s hard to maintain my flowers, shrubs, trees on my own, and this app has been a great help to knowing what to do and when to do it.

### 5/5 — Lovely little app to help my not-so-green thumb

*2026-03-21*

I’m stoked to have found this app at the start of the growing season and can’t wait to see how it helps my garden this year. It takes the guesswork out of plant care and makes it easy for someone like me to have the right plan for my plants.

### 5/5 — Makes a complex task lots easier

*2026-03-12*

Trying to figure out what all the plants in your yard "need" at any time of year (from feeding to pruning to watering) is complex—so many different-types of sun, soil and exposure are in one yard that it's not "one thing" that fits every-plant. This app makes that complicated task not only easier, but a lot more approachable and confidence-inspiring.

The Yard Routine app allows me to set up and describe (soil, sun exposure) different areas. of my yard and label them with a name that I chosee (not.just a generic "backyard" or
"sideyard"). After that I populated each area with plants. To do that, I snapped a picture or two on my phone and the app pretty accurately identified the plant and develops a customized plan of care for each.

The plan includes the suitability of the plant to the area it's in and watering tips. The plan is reflected beside each plant name and in a quick glance l can look at current suggested tasks, future tasks and things I need to do to best protect the plant if the weather changes.
And I'm all for the little "completed this" circles to check off when l've done those tasks, too— I like the sense of having gotten things done!

Instead of guessing what area of the yard or plants need my attention, it's all right there with Yard Routine. l've found the developer is responsive to my questions and the app, while new, has already been updated at least once for increased ease of use.

I initially tried out the "free" version, which is limited to five plants. When l realized what a boon this will be to my yard care this spring, I bought-the subscription—it-costs a lot less than killing a well-established plant!

### 5/5 — Just what I needed!!

*2026-03-08*

I needed something simple to help me with my yard in all seasons, this is just the app!

### 5/5 — It taught me my plants

*2026-03-08*

I didn’t know how to identify or care for yard plants. This app helped me identify what’s in my yard and what it needs. Great for novices like me and would likely be good to help experts keep organized.

### 5/5 — Great app for the aspiring DIYer!

*2026-03-03*

With a bunch invested in our landscaping, I wanted to be sure to not kill it all; but running around googling every plant one by one wasn’t cutting it.

Great way to get a complete view of the yard and knowing exactly what needs to get done when!

### 5/5 — Simple but powerful

*2026-03-02*

I have a large variety of trees and shrubs in my backyard. Maintenance can be complex. This has been a fantastic tool to simplify and organize the entire care routine. I no longer have to worry about forgetting some of the mid winter and early spring steps needed for some of our trees.

### 5/5 — Just what I needed
