## What is YǎSī Words Quizzes?

1. Hands-free, voice-first
Hints are spoken aloud and you answer out loud. Perfect for practising pronunciation and recall at the same time.

2. Academic or General Training
Choose your exam type in Settings. Academic (A) focuses on academic vocabulary (the Academic Word List); General Training (G) focuses on everyday life and work words.

3. Hints that narrow down
Three hints are ordered to step you closer to the answer: a broad definition first, then a synonym/antonym or feature, and finally a first/second-letter spelling clue.

4. Built for noisy rooms
On-device voice processing applies noise suppression, echo cancellation, and automatic gain so your spoken answer stands out from background noise.

5. Live transcription
As you speak, your words appear on screen in real time, so you can see exactly what the app heard before it checks your answer.

6. Apple Intelligence ready
On supported devices, hints can be generated dynamically by the on-device Foundation model. Otherwise a built-in hint library is used.

7. High-frequency first
The bundled dictionary tags the most common, most tested IELTS words so you study what matters most, first.

8. Smart spaced repetition
Words you learn are automatically resurfaced on an Ebbinghaus schedule (1, 2, 4, 7, 15, 30, 90 days) so they stick.

9. Calendar tracking
A study calendar shows your streaks and lets you revisit the exact words you practised on any day.
