## What is Yavalath?

Yavalath is a simple and quick two-player turn based board game that sees each player taking turns in placing a hexagon of their assigned colour onto a hexagonal board

Discovered by Cameron Browne's Ludi program the rules of the game are simple, the first person to create a line of 4 hexagons of their colour in any direction wins but creating a line of 3 hexagons in a row results in a loss.

Whilst simple on the surface there are endless different play styles and strategies; will you try and set your tiles up so that you can complete two lines of 4 at the same time so you can’t be blocked? Will you force your opponent to lose by having to block your line of 4 only to create their own line of 3?

## Key features

- Two-player turn-based gameplay
- Hexagonal tile placement
- Line of four to win
- Line of three to lose
- Strategic depth
- Quick game sessions

### 3/5 — How was this overlooked?

*2024-06-16*

Please…we NEED local multiplayer! Hot seat on the same phone! Just wanna play on a single phone with my friend at a bar. Please implement this!

**Developer response:** Hey Marc,

Really sorry it took so long for us to get back to you on this one; the two of us have been busy with a fair bit of life stuff since we first launched.
We've just finished a build that has local multiplayer, it's waiting for review now so keep your eyes peeled over the next few days! (And we'll reply here again once it's up so you know)

Really appreciate the feedback and whilst it was a fair while back now we hope you'll like the new version with local multiplayer!

Update: This is now available for download! We really hope you’ll enjoy it with the local play so you can have a game anywhere!

Thanks again
