### 5/5 — Offsetting my daily carbon footprint ♻️

*2020-09-23, version 1.0.19*

Using YAYZY is easy and gave me that piece of mind to live the life just as usual but with the outcome of giving the impact back to the world in a sustainable way.
It’s something we should all be doing in these days if we want to leave the world a healthy environment to future generations!
Love the idea 🙏🏼🌎

### 5/5 — Makes reducing my impact easy

*2020-08-06, version 1.0.18*

This app automatically calculates my carbon footprint and gives me tips to reduce it and offset it - makes doing the right thing the easy option!

### 5/5 — The best thing to come out of open banking yet!

*2020-07-31, version 1.0.17*

An essential app for those trying to do their bit for the planet, Yayzy is a fantastically innovative use of open banking to identify and track the carbon footprint of your lifestyle and mitigate it through lifestyle changes, better consumer choices and high quality offsets. The app is still in development but has progressed with impressive speed in the last few months and, from the sound of things, there are plans to take it a lot further. Having spoken with the developers, it is clear there is a very ideologically driven team behind this offering and I am excited, and encouraged, to see what the end result will be. In the meantime, I encourage new users to be patient, give feedback, and enjoy Yayzy’s steady advance towards achieving its full potential.

### 5/5 — Best app to offset my carbon footprint

*2020-07-28, version 1.0.17*

YAYSY is a great app to track my carbon foot print , it helped me to understand my environmental impact and offset it easily.

### 5/5 — Tracking My Carbon Footprint

*2020-07-27, version 1.0.17*

This app is great as it allows me to track my carbon footprint and understand when I am making the most positive or negative impact on the environment around me. It encourages me to limit my footprint and find socially responsible ways to offset any net negative impact I cannot avoid. Very sleek and user friendly, much better than others I have tried. I plan to continue using and definitely recommend to others!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2020-07-21, version 1.0.17*

I never thought I could track my carbon footprint so easily!

### 5/5 — Legit app to track carbon footprint

*2020-07-21, version 1.0.17*

I was looking for a carbon footprint tracker and finally I’ve found one that keeps me updated with the impact of each of my purchases. It does a good job helping me know my carbon emissions at all times. Also, it helped me become carbon neutral for just £6.

### 5/5 — Nice app, great initiative

*2020-06-29, version 1.0.15*

Glad there is an app that helps me to be environmentally friendly without hassle.

### 5/5 — Easy student sustainable life

*2020-06-24, version 1.0.14*

I’m a uni student trying to live more sustainably but it can get so difficult to find the time to research products or retailers before buying anything. Yayzy is a dream come true!!! I can offset my negative impact so easily. And so affordable on a budget!! Recommending to all my friends 🌱🌱🌱

### 5/5 — Now it’s easy to track my carbon footprint

*2020-06-23, version 1.0.13*

I’ve used dozens of carbon footprint calculators and for the first time I found one that is easy to understand, requires no effort to input any data and calculates my real carbon footprint. At the beginning I was scared to link my bank account, but this app uses a very trustworthy 3rd party to connect to my bank account. I found inking my bank account seamless and you automatically get a carbon footprint estimation. Very good and secure tech on the backend. I’ve also liked that you can buy carbon offsets using Apple Pay, you can offset your entire carbon footprint with a few clicks. I’ve read the FAQs and they are very transparent on the carbon offset pricing, and how they handle security. I reckon that the app is still in beta phase, would recommend adding gamification to improve the experience. I’ve shared this app with my friends, together we’ll do real impact.

### 5/5 — Amazing idea and so easy to use

*2020-06-23, version 1.0.13*

This app is AMAZING - it requires literally no work at all and you know exactly what your carbon footprint is. I linked my bank (hsbc) in like 10 secs and you can donate in-app to different projects like forrest conservation to become completely carbon neutral. It also gives you a ranking on what shops etc have a better sustainability rating so you can pick the most sustainable place to eg get a coffee. It’s such a good idea and so easy to use - WELL DONE GUYS! 🥳🥳

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Only for donations?

*2024-07-24, version 2.0.24*

I hope this app would be like a tracker of the activities I do on a day to see how much I’m spilling or whatever. But no, this app is only about donating towards them and it doesn’t even have other functions.

### 1/5 — Why would I want to give a random app my bank details?

*2021-11-10, version 1.3.5*

You might as well give a random person on the street access to you bank accounts.
Deleted within 30 seconds.

### 1/5 — Don’t want to give some random app access to my bank

*2021-01-06, version 1.1.4*

Will be deleting

### 1/5 — Buggy, with security risks

*2020-07-15, version 1.0.17*

I was really optimistic about his app when I first downloaded it. It looked pretty slick and I could connect to my bank account pretty quickly, but that’s where the fun stops.

You can’t add more than one account, so the information you get is pretty unrepresentative of my actual footprint. I can’t look at both my credit card and my current account for example.

The map mode with retailers carbon ratings is full of [Demo] and examples and doesn’t actually have any useful information in it.

Worst still I tried to delete one bank account to install and have a look at another (my credit card) but no matter what I tried it retained all the login details and bank transactions from my current account and wouldn’t let me delete them. This is surely a security risk?! Not sure I trust this with my bank details given I’ve asked for the data to be removed yet it’s all still there...

### 1/5 — Link Bank account?

*2020-07-07, version 1.0.16*

Who asks for a bank account? Then Learn more is just Lorem Ipsum. Obviously a scam!!!

### 2/5 — Wrong Approach

*2021-11-16, version 1.3.5*

My business has a target of planting 15,000 🌲🌲🌲 by 31 Dec 2021, which we will do, and I’m always looking for new and innovative ideas as to how we proceed Climate Positive & ultimately Zero.

However:
1/. You ‘assume’ my CF without asking any questions.
2/. You want me to connect my bank account without building a relationship with me.
3/. You want to track me.
4/. Every page is ‘Buy‼️ Buy‼️ Buy‼️’

I see where you are going with this, and I believe that after looking at ‘Every CF App’ in the store, you really have a great business model. However, it’s too intrusive, too aggressive, too sales focused and assumes so much, without knowing me as an individual or a business.
I really hope that I can use this app in the future, where I will stay on your mailings list and look out for new features in the future, but in the meantime, investing in Ecology or using the Tree App & My Footprint are far less intrusive, personal and trackable, without being intrusive.

### 2/5 — Very blunt instrument

*2020-09-16, version 1.0.19*

I am an environmentally aware individual. I make a lot of choices based on a fair understanding of growing, processing and shipping impact. The problem is that this app just looks as some very broad categories and decides my carbon footprint from that. My utilities bills are higher because I use an 100% green electricity provider. I know my gas can’t be carbon free, as biogas is still very niche and requires land to support it. I eat meat once a week and spend £35 on 3 bottles of quality English wine instead of 6 bottle of Australian wine.

None of this can be accounted for in the App and it just seems to be a sales tactic to try to get you to offset your carbon footprint. Well carbon offsetting is a dubious method to making you feel less guilty. Instead try investing your money in more insulation for your house, maybe buy some solar panels, definitely buy an electric car (as they are way better than ICE cars) and if you don’t have space or money for the last two invest directly in a company that is creating green energy.

### 3/5 — Don’t want to give access to my bank in order to use

*2021-03-18, version 1.2.1*

I’ve just downloaded the app and wasn’t able to see how the app functions because I am required to immediately connect my bank up in order to proceed.

I am a UX Designer and personally I think this is a bad design choice as the user hasn’t had the opportunity to explore the app, build trust with the platform etc. There is no alternative option to proceed and use a reduced functioning application.

### 5/5 — Loving this app

*2022-10-01, version 2.0.23*

Yayzy is a great way to track your carbon footprint and offset it easily. Particularly liking the carbon removal option with Stripe.

### 5/5 — So interesting!

*2022-06-30, version 2.0.19*

It’s really interesting to see how big my carbon footprint is! Especially since I’m trying to be more environmentally friendly ☺️

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2022-06-29, version 2.0.19*

Such an interesting concept to offset your footprint. Really makes me feel like I’m doing my bit for the planet! I love checking my footprint everyday to see what I can do better. Definitely worth it for those who are environmentally conscious but don’t know where to start!

### 5/5 — Great app, shocked at my impact!

*2022-06-28, version 2.0.19*

A neat little app, I was shocked to find out how much CO2 I was contributing! It’s really easy to offset your impact, and you earn a carbon offset certificate which is a nice touch.

### 5/5 — FCB

*2022-04-08, version 2.0.13*

Love the latest update (great category breakdown). Glad to see how the app keeps getting better overtime

### 5/5 — Loving the updates

*2022-02-25, version 1.3.9*

I had already connected my account, but glad you now also allow a no-bank footprint estimation! Now I can share it with my less tech-savvy friends as well :)

### 5/5 — A very useful and great app

*2022-02-18, version 1.3.9*

There are very few apps which are good at carbon tracking. I found Yayzy insightful and helpful. There are some things to improve on but definitely one of the best in this category that actually enables me to track my carbon footprint instead of guesstimating it

### 5/5 — An app with great purpose

*2021-01-19, version 1.1.4*

From my personal experience the Yayzy team is totally committed to their mission and personally invested in its success. Great strides have been made in the early months to resolve the challenges of launching a quite complex App. Recent updates have resolved early issues with open banking links and app compatibility with different iPhone versions. Yayzy is already well differentiated from would-be competitors, the gap can only increase as more functionality comes on stream. Most definitely the go to app for anyone wanting to carbon offset their expenditure

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2020-12-23, version 1.1.4*

Love this, very easy to setup and immediately have visibility over my impact. Cheaper to offset than i thought

### 5/5 — Great idea

*2020-10-23, version 1.1.0*

Great app to start tracking your carbon footprint and acting on it! I love as well all the tips to switch your behaviours.
