Most apps help you talk. YChat helps you do things together. YChat is a social hangout platform that turns solo browsing into a shared experience. Friends can start a chat, launch a hangout within the conversation, choose an activity, and watch videos, browse the web, shop, study, or sketch together in real time—with voice, video, and chat built in. Free to join, free to host. WHY YCHAT Video calls show you faces. Group chats show you messages. YChat puts everyone in the same room, looking at the same screen, doing the same thing at the same moment: the movie you are watching, the notes you are revising, the shoes you are deciding on, the trip you are planning. It feels like being together, even when you are in different cities. HOW IT WORKS • Start Chat — Open a conversation with friends. • Start a Hangout — Launch a hangout right from your chat. • Choose an Activity — Watch, browse, shop, study, or sketch together. • Experience Together — Share the moment with real-time voice and chat. WATCH TOGETHER Play videos in perfect sync for everyone in the hangout. Pause, skip and react together, with voice and chat running alongside. Movie nights, cricket highlights, lecture recordings and reels, all shared live. STUDY TOGETHER Open a shared whiteboard to sketch, write notes and brainstorm. View PDFs, slides and links together, solve problems on the same canvas and keep a study group going for exam season without anyone leaving home. BROWSE AND SHOP TOGETHER Browse websites together in real time. Compare products, read reviews, pick a restaurant, book a hotel or shortlist a flat side by side, and decide faster because everyone sees the same page. VIEW TOGETHER Any link, PDF, photo or video shared in a chat can be opened together with one tap, so the group discusses the same thing instead of forwarding it around. TALK NATURALLY Voice and video are built into every hangout. Talk while you browse, chat while you watch, switch between them without leaving the room. Voice notes, media sharing and quick replies work in chats too. MEET NEW PEOPLE Connect with people who share your interests, then turn any conversation into a private hangout. (Meet People is rolling out; join the waitlist from Explore.) COLLABORATE WITH AI Bring an AI assistant into the hangout to summarise a document, explain a topic or draft a plan while everyone watches and edits together. PERFECT FOR • Classmates studying for exams and revising notes together • Friends watching movies, matches and videos in sync • Couples and families shopping, planning trips and comparing options • Teams reviewing documents and brainstorming on a whiteboard • Anyone who misses hanging out and wants more than a call PRIVATE BY DESIGN Hangouts are invite-only. You decide who joins, what is shared and when it ends. Sign in with a one-time code by WhatsApp or SMS; no passwords to remember. FREE TO JOIN, FREE TO HOST No set-up, no links to chase later. Download YChat, start your first hangout and bring your people into the room.
