## What is Yearn?

Yearn is a paycheck budget planner built on envelope budgeting, made for tips, gig work, hourly shifts, and contract pay. Every bill and goal is funded by its due date, from whatever paycheck schedule you're on.

Most budgeting apps assume the same paycheck lands every two weeks. Yearn doesn't. Set a funding schedule that matches your payday, weekly, biweekly, twice a month, or monthly, and Yearn works out what each paycheck needs to cover. What's left is your Free to Spend: the money that is truly yours after bills and goals are handled.

BUDGET BY PAYCHECK
Create an envelope for each bill or goal, give it a due date and an amount, then attach it to a funding schedule. On each funding date, Yearn calculates how much to set aside so every bill is fully funded by the day it's due. Bills can repeat weekly, biweekly, twice a month, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. No spreadsheets, no mental math.

ENVELOPE BUDGETING FOR VARIABLE INCOME
The envelope method works for irregular income because Yearn never asks how much you make. It only asks what you owe and when. Every envelope shows its status at a glance: Ready, On track, Ahead, or Behind, so you know before payday whether next week's check will stretch.

FREE TO SPEND, ALWAYS VISIBLE
One number, always current: what you can spend today without touching money that already belongs to a bill. It updates each time a funding schedule runs on the payday you chose, and whenever a purchase is matched to an envelope.

BILL TRACKER, GOAL TRACKER, SPENDING CHARTS
Real-time progress on every bill and savings goal. Cash flow, spending by category, upcoming bills, and a six-month trend, all built from your own transactions.

YOUR BANK, YOUR CHOICE
Track manually, or connect your bank with a secure, read-only Plaid connection so balances and transactions stay in sync. Auto Spend matches purchases to the right envelope automatically. Import transactions from CSV, OFX, or QFX files, reconcile balances when they drift, and review your balance history. Yearn never moves money in your bank account.

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2026-08-25*

Thanks for the great app! Setting up my bills and funding schedule was super easy with the setup wizard, which found all my top bills and allowed me to add them with just a few clicks. I really like the clean, user-friendly design, too. Even with my zoomed-in font settings, I can still see all the data clearly, which is a big plus because some apps cut off the text.

At first, the $7.99/month price seemed a little high, but then I realized I could sign up on the web for just $4.99/month. That made the price much more reasonable!

Really impressed so far!

### 5/5 — Very helpful handy tool

*2026-08-23*

This app has honestly made managing my money so much easier. I love that it doesn’t just show me my account balances—it helps me understand how much money I actually have available to spend after taking my upcoming bills and expenses into account.
It’s so helpful to have everything organized in one place instead of constantly doing the math in my head or checking multiple accounts. I feel like I have a much clearer picture of where my money is going and what I can realistically afford.
If you struggle with budgeting, overspending, or just feeling unsure about how much money you really have available, I definitely recommend giving this app a try. It has made me feel much more organized and in control of my finances.

### 5/5 — Easy and friendly

This is a really cool app. You can link your bank account, pay your bills and keep track of your savings. Customer service is great too. I had trouble signing up and someone helped me figure out the problem. Five stars!
