Yankees and other NY teams gave a monopoly over the games and then make it hard to watch them. Todays game started over 5 hours ago, has been over for hours and it still isnt available to watch. The Yankees game listed as todays full game is playing back as yesterdays game. This pretty ridiculous considering that the app is twice as expensive as most other streaming apps. Please make it better, we fans really look forward to these games! ### 2/5 — Poor quality *2025-03-15, version 13.0* This app does not compare to the YES app. Lots of blackouts at the wrong time. I hope they fix this app because it’s hard to watch a fluent game. ### 1/5 — Yes or Gotham Sports ? It’s a scam *2024-12-01* Warning to everyone….. when I “canceled” my subscription to the Yes Network on October 5th, 2024 I received an email stating “we are sorry to see you go.” However, I received bills on October 28th and November 29th from Gotham Sports which the Yes Network used to keep billing my credit card. Gotham Sports refused to stop billing my credit card and I eventually had to put in a disputed charges report in order for them to stop billing me. Please be aware of this scam. It’s a disgrace that the New York Yankees are affiliated with this company that uses corporate scams to drain money from hard working Americans. It should be noted, anyone can turn off their location settings on their devices, use a vpn to change your location outside of the NY area and just watch the Yankees on the MLB app. At least you know you won’t get scammed that way ….. the Yankees, Yes Network, and Gotham Sports, what a pathetic companies. ### 2/5 — Two years and still the same issues. *2024-09-30, version 11.0* How can Apple TV and prime TV, Both of which are not sports apps figure out how to let people pause and start the games late when they want but yes, who charges a much higher price, not figure out this technology to let fans be able to watch it when they want to. ### 2/5 — Scores Scrolls Back Months *2024-09-29, version 11.0* Open scores and it shows a game from that day or maybe a few days back but when you scroll forward it turns white and skips back many months. Today it went back to last September. And there is no easy way to skip forward to today. It freezes, takes time to open, crashes, has latency issues and poor picture quality. Plus doesnt have the features you are used to on other streaming apps; no rewind, fast forward, record or pause. Thank you if you heard and helped to get this fixed Across both FiOS and the YES app for several years running the Spanish audio is consistently behind the picture on the video feed Despite the huge numbers of Spanish speaking fans and players Despite the fact that listening to the Spanish audio means constant audial advertisements along with the regular commercials, and the ads behind home plate, and the 20 dollar a month charge (despite every Wednesday being on Amazon and many Sundays on ESPN, and the occasional Friday on Apple TV and the very rare publicly broadcast Fox game) ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Yes app *2026-04-12, version 13.0* Horrible. I have a yes subscription but the screen freezes and will not let me watch. This has happened a number of times.. someone needs to fix this 9/15/2025… the Gotham app will not let me watch the Yankees… I have a tv subscription for yes.. this is the second time this week that I have missed a game because of that app.. the screen that lets you log on with your tv provider just freezes up and you can not continue…this is an on going problem with this app. I have miss at least 5 games this year… Once again the GS app will not grant me access.. this is about the tenth time I will miss a game on my I-pad …someone needs to fix this 9/20/2025. I pay over $20 a month for this app just to watch the Yankees. Nothing like running trying to catch the last inning of the game and you go to put it on and it makes you watch up to 1 minute of ads. To no fault of their own I signed up using Apple and a hidden email address. Through great enjoyment of utilizing the app and watching games I learned to play in the their pick ‘em contest and actually won. Bc of the email address I wasn’t receiving my link to claim the prizes and got myself frustrated. But through contacting their support staff, the problem was resolved almost immediately and with great courtesy and professionalism and the same level of excellence that is expected from any organization affiliated with the New York Yankees and their brand! Thanks YES Network!!!! You hit it out of the park! (Ok that was bad, I know! As a diehard Yankees fan who is NYC-based but spending several months working from California this is a godsend. I can watch YES by signing in with my Spectrum account. It works great on my iPhone X streaming via AirPlay to a Samsung Q70 TV. Not true HD, but I haven’t had any glitches or anything. Plus it’s fun watching NYC’s local ads out here. Now if I could just get my Pat Kiernan “In the Papers” I’d be all set! 😀 ### 5/5 — Customer service *2022-05-19, version 3.9* I did have some frustrations but they are clearly working the kinks out. There is a strong NY presence in almost every state in these Unites States.
