### 5/5 — One of best reddit app’s I’ve ever used

*2025-05-29, version 3.4.0*

Easy to use, easy to navigate, active developers who help resolve bug reports!! There’s nothing more I could want from a Reddit app!!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic for phone & helpful on Mac

*2025-03-01, version 3.2.2*

I really, really wish I had decided to buy this sooner. I can’t imagine going back to old.reddit without this on my phone, and it’s nice on Mac as well! Recommended

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-02-24, version 3.2.2*

Love that old Reddit look! It'd be awesome to save favorite subreddits for easy access, kinda like bookmarks.

### 5/5 — Top quality extension, highly recommend

*2025-02-19, version 3.2.2*

I've been using Yesterday ever since Reddit changed their API. Recently, there was an update that affected how I used the extension. I went to the subreddit and left a comment to the developer. Within 48 hours of my comment, the developer responded, stating that he had fixed the issue and that I would be able to use the extension the way I had previously. Very positively surprised.

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2025-02-07, version 3.1.2*

Wasn’t sure about spending money on this but I consider it to be essential now. Great app.

### 5/5 — Successor to RES for Old Reddit

*2025-01-28, version 3.1.2*

I’m so used to having Reddit Enhancement Suite for Old Reddit that not having it made browsing Reddit on Safari unbearable. This extension covers the majority of functions I was sorely missing and I barely miss not having RES; good dark mode, expand <image> inline, colored comment level, gallery view, back to top button, and auto-mod collapse to name a few of my essentials it covered. Totally worth the few bucks spent and appreciate its focus on “Old” Reddit. I look forward to future development!

### 5/5 — Perfect alternative to the bad official app

*2025-01-23, version 3.1.2*

This extension is so well done. I cant’t recommend it enough. Everything works smoothly, lays out the old mobile website elegantly. Has so many options.

### 5/5 — Old reddit shines in safari with this extension

*2024-11-06, version 3.1.1*

With the loss of Apollo I did quit Reddit for a long time but it has a lot of useful information for nearly any subject. This extension makes Reddit useable reducing the modern UIs attempts to make the website inaccessible via mobile browsers.

### 5/5 — Makes Old Reddit Usable on Mobile

*2024-10-04*

This extension is exactly what I have been looking for when browsing Old Reddit on mobile through Safari. The old layout can be tricky to navigate on smaller screens, but Yesterday for Old Reddit makes it smooth and functional. If you prefer the classic layout and want a better mobile experience, this is a must-have! The dev is also responsive and swift to implementing suggestions. All around great experience so far.

### 5/5 — Game Changer!

*2024-10-04, version 3.1.0*

Yesterday For Old Reddit is a game-changer! As a long-time Reddit user (over 16 years), I was frustrated by the api changes and the new web experience. This app brings back the classic Reddit layout and functionality, making it easy to navigate and enjoy my favorite subreddits again. Highly recommended for anyone who misses the old Reddit. The features and functionality of this app have been very thoughtful you can tell the developer of the app is also a Reddit user. Thank you for making something so useful!

### 5/5 — Don’t hesitate, buy it now!!

*2024-09-08, version 3.0.1*

I’ve been using the web version of Reddit ever since the app fiasco, but it’s been a pain having to switch to old Reddit manually when a web search takes me there. I found this while looking for something like old Reddit redirect for mobile. Was initially disappointed to have to pay for something so simple, but once I gave in and did I realized that this is so so so much more than just a redirect, making the mobile experience significantly better by rearranging and resizing elements to actually be usable!! This makes the website what it should have been all along!!

### 5/5 — Amazing extension!

*2024-08-28, version 2.2.4*

Works perfectly and makes the experience of using the web version of reddit much better

### 5/5 — Reddit is unusable without this

*2024-08-11, version 2.2.2*

This extension makes reddit actually usable on ios safari. Without it, it’s one of the most buggy web apps I’ve used.

### 5/5 — Crucial

*2024-06-02, version 2.1.0*

Saved

### 5/5 — Getting logged out

*2024-05-16*

Perfect extension, but I keep getting logged out of Reddit. Can you fix this please?

### 5/5 — WOW!!

*2024-04-22, version 2.0.4*

Edit 4/22/24: Not even 2 weeks after my original review, the developer added the feature I requested- and unsurprisingly it works flawlessly! If anyone needs me, I will be singing this app’s praises from the hilltops.

Original review 4/10/24 (5 stars): It’s WILD how much this has improved my reddit experience. Does what it says, does it well, and offers a good amount of customization options. I would love to be able to skip back to the top level parent comment as opposed to just the child-level comment’s previous child-level parent; currently it seems like you just have to keep tapping “parent” until you reach the top level comment, although I may be missing something? Regardless, I wholeheartedly recommend this app, it is a freaking godsend!

**Developer response:** Hi

I've added a new option to go to the top level parent comment.

You can update to version 2.0.4 and then go to -

General Settings -> Appearence -> Comment Modifications -> Add Top Parent Button

After that in the comment bottom bar you'll see a button to go to the top level parent

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Didn’t work for me.

*2025-02-13, version 3.1.2*

Didn’t work for me.

### 1/5 — Not updated

*2023-07-02, version 1.3.5*

This hasn’t been updated in 6 months and does not work anymore.

Don’t buy this thinking you can use it after Apollo’s shutdown.

### 4/5 — Almost 5/5

*2025-11-27, version 3.5.1*

Just add one thing - the ability to block/filter users. You can block subreddits and even certain words but not users. Add that and it’ll be perfect. Cheers.

### 4/5 — Does what it says on the tin

*2023-07-02, version 1.3.5*

A fine little extension that does a good job of giving the old Reddit experience, but correctly formatted for your phone screen. Hopefully the dev will add more functionality over time (bigger touch targets for upvoting and downvoting, for collapsing comments etc.) but it’s a great start and makes Reddit at least browsable via Safari following the demise of third party apps, including the beloved Apollo.

### 5/5 — Lifesaver

*2026-08-06, version 3.9.0*

One of my most-used apps - this makes Reddit’s interface a thousand times more tolerable. Easily worth its weight in gold!

### 5/5 — Listens to feedback

*2026-06-15, version 3.8.3*

The developer is active and answers your emails. They will also develop new features based on them. The extension genuinely adds quality of life improvements to the website for me.

### 5/5 — Love the old Reddit feel

*2026-05-10, version 3.7.0*

Truly amazing to have the old Reddit experience on my phone. Love using it more than any other app

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-05-06, version 3.7.0*

Works smoothly and makes browsing reddit a delightful experience.

### 5/5 — Makes reddit 1000x more tolerable

*2026-03-14, version 3.6.2*

Thank you

### 5/5 — Beautiful App

*2025-12-22, version 3.5.1*

Thank you devs for this app.. it reminds me of rif for android and alien blue.. I love old Reddit always have..

I can fly through comments so fast.

Thanks again!

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Makes Reddit Great Again

*2025-11-17, version 3.5.1*

Huge QoL improvement, probably the best $4 I’ve spent in a long time. I would love to see support for adding multireddits however.

### 5/5 — Best thing I’ve used for reddit on mobile

*2025-11-06, version 3.5.1*

Overall very good! Especially since reddit stoped 3rd party apps, this is the best alternative.

My only hang-up is that loading any new reddit page hangs for a few seconds every time (counted ~5 seconds on my iphone 13 pro). I would love to know the reason and what can be done about it. This has always been the case for me for the year+ I’ve used this extension. I even tried disabling all other extensions to make sure.

I would also like to make a feature request to add a “show images” button like what RES has which would automatically expand all the posts on the page.

### 5/5 — Get it

*2025-10-03, version 3.5.1*

Idk man, just get it.

### 5/5 — Only way I still use Reddit

*2025-07-06*

This extension is the only way I still use Reddit on my phone. I refused to install their ad and spyware ridden apps and just put up with old reddit, but my eyes were going bad from panning and zooming so much.

No more! Absolutely worth every penny I spent.
