## What is YEStimator?

YEStimator is construction estimating built by a contractor — not a software company. Track every lead, build detailed estimates, and send professional proposals, from the first phone call to the signed job.

Time kills all deals. YEStimator keeps every request moving: what came in, what's been quoted, and what's waiting on you.

LEADS & REQUESTS
• Capture every request for proposal the moment it comes in.
• Flags and notes make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
• See the status of every opportunity at a glance — and what needs action today.

ESTIMATING WORKSHEETS
• Build labor worksheets task by task, with your real crew rates and equipment costs.
• Materials and cost-plus sheets with markup and sales tax handled per sheet.
• Allocate equipment to tasks and watch true costs roll up automatically.
• Save any worksheet as a template and re-price it at today's rates on any estimate.
• Keep multiple versions of an estimate side by side — options, alternates, revisions.

PROFESSIONAL PROPOSALS
• Turn an estimate into a clean, structured proposal in minutes.
• Subtotals, alternates, disclaimers, payment terms — your standard language on your letterhead.
• Committed proposals are numbered and frozen forever: what the customer signed is what you keep.
• Drafts let you stage and refine before anything gets a number.

KNOW YOUR REAL COSTS
• The Labor Burden Calculator shows your true, fully burdened cost per production man-hour — and prints a one-page report to back up your rates in black and white.

BUILT FOR SMALL TEAMS
• Work solo, or add estimators — everyone's work syncs automatically.
• Works hand in hand with CrewKeeper: your projects, clients, and crew in one place.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your data lives in your own iCloud. We run no servers and never see it.
• iPhone and iPad, online or off.

PRICING
• YEStimator requires a subscription: $29.99/month or $299.99/year, with a 30-day free trial.
• Add estimator seats for your team as you grow.
• Free for CrewKeeper organization owners with a paid Team plan.

Stop guessing. Bid it right, send it fast, and win the work.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-09

Faster everywhere, with the job folder at hand.

• Speed: big labor worksheets and long request lists are far quicker to open and scroll.

• Dropbox on the iPad: sign in once, and each new project gets its job folder; committed proposals file themselves into it; open the job folder or its drawings from the estimate. A Documents menu on the iPad menu bar (⌘⇧D drawings, ⌘⇧J job folder). Project photos publish to the job folder too.

• Requests: the list keeps your place as you move around; a request with a new estimate in progress also shows under Estimating; New-activity marks are per device, with Mark All as Seen; archived and finished jobs stay out of the way.

• Worksheets: group a labor worksheet by category with section totals and $/ft²; Copy Rows To… moves rows across versions and sheets; Compare All Versions sets every version side by side; the estimate lands on the worksheet you last had open; days take one decimal place; finals round up to whole dollars.

• Proposals: disclaimer groups by job type, and group pills to filter the list while you choose.

• Pickers: search matches any word in a name, and a typo or two still finds it; save a new project and go straight to its first request or estimate.

• Guards: one name per project, new work only on live jobs, and a warning before an estimate lands on a finished job.

• Fixes: the equipment picker no longer jumps to the top on its own; deleting a worksheet no longer crashes; plus many smaller refinements throughout.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-28

This release brings a big batch of new tools and refinements:

• Follow-Up Flags — hand a request off to a teammate or flag it for yourself, so nothing waiting on you slips through. The Requests list shows a count of what's in your court, with a one-tap filter, and handing off to a teammate includes a note automatically. Flag a whole request group at once.

• Rental Vendors — tag equipment in your rate sheet with the rental house it comes from, then filter each worksheet's equipment picker to the vendors you're renting from on that job.

• Copy as Draft — duplicate a proposal into a fresh draft with its scope, terms, and line structure carried over. Sending near-identical proposals to several clients now takes a fraction of the time.

• Labor Burden Calculator upgrades — save complete setups and share them with your team, a Time & Materials billing rate from your target profit margin, an optional crew-rates page on the printed report, and job names that travel with each saved setup.

• Change Equipment — swap one machine for another across a whole worksheet or version in one pass, keeping the original on any tasks where it still applies.

• Equipment editing — adjust an allocation's pieces and rate right from the equipment summary, edit existing rate-sheet entries, and see the resulting daily rate calculated as you enter rents.

• Worksheet templates — add a template's line items into an existing worksheet, automatically repriced at that sheet's rates.

• Hardware keyboard: press Esc while editing a worksheet field to restore its previous value.

• Many refinements throughout — proposal client & contact selection consolidated into a single sheet, smoother note entry, naming prompts when adding versions and worksheets, clearer worksheet settings with Save/Cancel, and reliability fixes for proposal drafts and worksheet totals.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-17

Minor fixes and refinements.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-15

Labor Burden Calculator — know your true, fully burdened cost per production man-hour, and print a one-page report to back up your hourly rates in black and white. Find it under Settings > Estimating.

Proposal improvements:
• Add subtotal, grand total, and spacer lines to structure your proposal pricing.
• Search every proposal by number, client, contact, or project — then view, share, or jump straight to its estimate.
• Client & contact pairs on estimates: link each client with the right contact, and proposal setup picks them up automatically. Single-contact clients fill in on their own.
• Before you preview, YEStimator checks that the client and contact records are complete and offers a one-tap fix for anything missing.

Faster data entry:
• Search-first pickers everywhere — type a client, contact, or project name, and if it doesn't exist yet, create it on the spot.
• Add a worksheet template into an existing worksheet; template lines re-price at your current rates.
• Phone numbers format automatically as you type and print correctly on proposals.

Reliability:
• Fixed an issue where note edits could occasionally fail to save.
• Many smaller fixes and refinements throughout.
