## What is Yijie Go?

Yijie Go is a fully offline Go app. The KataGo engine runs directly on your iPhone or iPad — no network, no game records uploaded, and you can start a game with the connection off.

FROM 20 KYU TO 9 DAN+
· The kyu levels are not a weakened engine. They use a network trained on human games — it misses things, gets greedy and plays a loose endgame, like a person rather than a machine playing badly on purpose
· The dan levels are set by KataGo's search depth, one rung at a time
· 9x9, 13x13 and 19x19, with handicap

13,934 LIFE-AND-DEATH PROBLEMS
Life and death, capture, tesuji and endgame, graded by type and five difficulty levels, all solvable offline.

33 BEGINNER LESSONS
Ordered after the British Go Association's teaching guide: capturing first, boards up to 9x9 to begin with, ko last. The graduation test is beating KataGo on 9x9 with a 4-stone handicap.

REVIEW AND RANK ASSESSMENT
Let KataGo analyse a finished game move by move: it draws the win-rate curve and picks out the moves that cost you most. The rank assessment estimates your strength from move quality, not from the result.

PRIVACY

To keep tuning performance across devices, the app reports runtime data while an AI model is running: device model, OS version, memory and CPU use, thermal state and battery level. No game records, no account, nothing that identifies you personally.
