## What is YiKey?

YiKey is a Traditional Chinese Zhuyin keyboard built for people who switch between Chinese and English all day.

Type in Zhuyin with fast local candidates, translate the text around your cursor, and use Voice Pad to dictate a sentence before sending it back to the keyboard.

- Traditional Chinese Zhuyin input with phrase candidates
- Chinese to English and English to Traditional Chinese translation suggestions
- Voice Pad for speech-to-text handoff
- Translation replacement flow for newly dictated or typed text
- Privacy-aware release build that sends translation requests through a configured proxy and does not store a DeepL API key in the app

Online translation requires enabling Allow Full Access for the keyboard so iOS permits network requests. You can still use the keyboard without online translation when Full Access is disabled.
