I can’t understand why an update hasn’t showed up. ### 1/5 — Cannot add members card to apple wallet *2021-05-05, version 1.51* I tried to add my membership card to Apple wallet and it keeps saying your membership card is not available at this time and it’s been a week now so as of this moment I have taken off the app from my phone and I gave it a one star review now I tried to call a number they told me to call and all I got was voicemail and telling me to go to a website so until you fix this this is not a good app ### 2/5 — Probs seeing pool reservations past Sat *2021-04-09, version 1.51* Hey guys! On the app, I found the pool reservation section, but it’s showing only days in this week, ending Sat. It’s Friday so that’s 2 days. Is there a way to see a little further into the future? Otherwise, I vastly prefer the website. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Super buggy, does not do a fraction of what it should. *2026-05-14* My membership reflects differently in the app for what I actually pay at the Y, thus not allowing me to use features I pay for. Thank you for being a valued Y member! ### 1/5 — Logs into the wrong account *2024-09-30* It doesn’t even log me into the YMCA, but to the LFJCC app- it seems their software shares the same program and won’t disconnect my old gym membership from LFJCC to my new YMCA one so it keeps glitching out ### 1/5 — App is trash *2024-06-02* Love the Y but the app is complete trash! ### 1/5 — Lost Apple Wallet Support *2024-02-19* I had this app during the first version and it let me add my ID to my Apple wallet. I recently got a new phone and needed to read my ID to my wallet but this version will not let me!! Very frustrating to have to go to the app to check in compared to double tapping a side button. Horrible update ### 1/5 — Fails at step 1 *2023-12-17* It isn't possible to log in with existing member login credentials. You are forced to create a new account and/or reset the password of existing account. Not sure which, since once it was clear I couldn't log in with my existing credentials I stopped using it. This problem is as of December 2023. Hopefully they will fix this soon. ### 1/5 — Can’t even book a class! *2023-07-08* Clicked on book a class, it shows you the classes, and then nowhere to book. LOL! Bad app ### 1/5 — This app is crap *2023-06-24* The old YMCA app worked just fine. Now this new app version won’t even log you in with the same credentials you login with on the computer. You don’t have to make a new password for the app. Just use the same one as your YMCA account. ### 4/5 — Pool schedules? *2019-07-19, version 1.3* I like that I can see the group exercise schedules for all of the San Diego YMCAs. But I’m very disappointed I cannot see the pool schedules. Update: You responded that they can be found under Pool Schedules but when I click there it says no schedules can be found. I emailed app support as you suggested to the email you provided a few days ago with no response. Update: Thank you for responding and fixings all issues I was having with the app. Now the app is great! ### 4/5 — Great idea!! *2019-01-09, version 1.1* Was able to login ok ... but the expiration date listed on first screen was wrong .. otherwise ok ... I will explore ... ### 3/5 — Can’t add activities *2026-01-10* I’m a sucker for challenges and the app now allows you to complete challenges for badges. However? on both iPhone 16 Pro and iPad, the ‘Add new activity’ screen shows a bottom activity menu that appears swipeable but cannot be expanded by swipe or tap, making activity logging impossible. I just want my badges… ### 3/5 — Bare minimum app *2024-05-26* It would be nice if you could save or favorite locations or have your home location automatically pop up. I really only use it to check in and see what classes are available, other than that the app isn’t good for anything else ### 3/5 — Needs help *2023-01-17* 1. It won’t hold your favorite location. Reverts to the first on the list every time. 2. It won’t allow the phone to memorize the login so you have to type in everything every time. Needs fingerprint and face login. 3. The location “open or closed” notice does not coordinate with the hours calendar. Calendar states it’s open and yet the location button stated it’s closed. (Happens on holiday closings) like the day before New Year’s Eve and so on. (When no one else has that day off). ### 3/5 — Schedule Update Please *2020-03-10, version 1.3* Schedule related. I like that you can see the full schedule of the whole week of any San Diego Y. My suggestion, though, would be to make a section “title” for the hour and include the individual classes on a separate line for each class with the exact time shown on the left, instead of having a long list with the hour shown on the left and the exact time in the body of each class. Or even have the hour as an expandable section with each class listed individually by time below. Another suggestion would be to automatically jump to the current day/hour. It gets kind of confusing when you’re in a rush having to scroll through all the other classes, the hour is highlighted not the actual time and sometimes the app opens on the wrong day. On a different schedule-related note: it would be amazing if you could sign up for the classes through the Y app, similar to MindBody or ClassPass. And then your scheduled classes would show on the home page and you could add to your choice of native calendar apps. Other than that, it’s great. Love that I can save my member pass to my Apple Wallet. That was a genius idea! Keep up the great work. Kind of makes the community plus membership not worth it - I can book child care but without a guaranteed spot in a class that is kind of irrelevant.
