I cannot give 5 stars though because I cannot use airplay with the App and even when I tried to cast the video on the TV is not working and I was able to do so with other apps.So it’s a bit annoying following the lessons on the phone. ### 3/5 — Great but abusive *2024-04-11, version 3.7.1* I love the teachers and the wide options they offer. For my renewal, they said annually would cost 9 months instead of 12 and then ended up charging 12 They offered three more months, but weren’t able to reimburse. Given it’s subject matter, I more often like to use my iPad for the larger screen. If you’re iPad is in a support case, you’ll notice it won’t rotate for horizontal viewing. An update to allow this would be a great improvement to this app. ### 1/5 — No puedo darme de baja *2023-07-11, version 3.4.0* Sigo el paso a paso de cómo darme de bajas pero voilà,el último paso para darte de baja no aparece en toda la app…solo aparece borrar cuenta pero con ello no das de baja la suscripción. Casting is your only option for big screen viewing, yet it doesn’t work. **Developer response:** Hi SfFran68! Thank you for your feedback. I wanted to let you know that we have spent a lot of time and energy this year updating the Yoga International app. We have also fixed Chromecast for viewing on larger screens and modernized our TV app so that you can practice your favorite classes on the big screen on Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and Google TV. I hope you’ll give us another try and let us know of any other issues or product improvements you’d love to see. ### 4/5 — Would love to use *2023-05-29* I would love to use this app. But I’m on a fixed income, which means that I can’t afford any subscriptions. I’m Blind and Disabled as well. All the money I get goes to rent, bills, and food. This means that subscriptions are completely out of the question. It would be nice if you guys could figure out a way to make the app free for those of us on a fixed income. I’m trying to get back into yoga after a long absence. Please consider finding a way to make the app free for people on fixed incomes. It would help a lot. ### 3/5 — app - 2⭐️ at most, content - 5⭐️ *2023-05-07* As a yoga instructor and yoga student I enjoy the content of YI for several years now. I found teachers, courses and other content I enjoy, use in my classes and personal practice. Sadly the usability of the app is left much to be desired. I view it on my iPad most of the time. The size of videos doesn’t fit to the screen when I open them (I have to switch to another app, then back, and by chance the app would show video full screen). I can’t open videos from my saved list and have to type in the name of the class in a search to get an access to smth I already saved. The web version and mobile app version do not really sync (I had issues while viewing my purchased courses). Sometimes a teacher’s intro video plays over a class video (!!), because it just has an autoplay… There are many more annoying issues. They need a good QA team on board to check on all that bugs, both mobile app and web. Last time Yoga International did not refund me and I took it on the chin, figuring I had messed up the cancelation. Not this time! I know I completed the process. Let’s see if they refund me, if not I’m disputing with my cardholder. ETA they charged me TWICE!!! Just gets better 🤦‍♀️. ### 1/5 — Automatically takes money *2022-08-12, version 2.6.0* They automatically will charge you card for over $200 and not inform you until AFTER it is done. They don’t reach out to let you know membership is expiring and ask if you want to keep. Then there is basically no way to contact them. I recently downloaded the app to have mobile access to a course, but the screen goes blank almost every time I try to progress. I can’t even go back to the Home Screen on the app. It’s not until I come back a day or two later that I can access the app at all. I didn’t even use this app much since there are not many prenatal videos and I ended up finding better classes for free in YouTube. I canceled my subscription from my App Store months ago and I even deleted this app. Yesterday I was charged $204 for another year when I did not receive any notice just the notification from my credit card. I’m trying to get in touch with someone and all they have is an email. ?????? Makes no sense, they make it impossible to get rid of this membership. ### 1/5 — Needs a major update *2024-03-10* Yoga International was once a great resource, initiated by the Himalayan Institute to teach very sound and beneficial yoga asana, meditation, and pranayama courses online via some very good teachers. Sadly, YI was sold in late 2021 to another company who promptly removed some very good content and over time, new content from the very good teachers gave way to quite substandard content mostly by teachers brought over by the acquiring firm. Nothing against the new teachers personally, it’s just that the new content was quite insufficient vs. what had previously been offered under original ownership. I use this app for evening yoga nidras and meditations to help me relax and sleep, and I like to practice asana with the amazing teachers when I’m feeling unmotivated to lead myself. As a yoga teacher, I also love that I can learn about deeper aspects of yoga philosophy and yoga anatomy as part of my membership.
