### 2/5 — Not for beginners

*2026-05-31, version 5.4.1*

I kept seeing this on instagram so finally caved . Specifically thought it would help sciatica. First lesson right into hard poses especially for the back . Only 2 exercises a day and they’re all for people with more flexibility and no back or knee problems. Don’t waste your money . Find all of the right exercises on YouTube

### 2/5 — Progress aint working

*2026-02-18, version 5.3.4*

The app is quite bad, the „completed“ check box disappeared from the app, so you always have to remember where to continue. Also under my profile was the option to reset the programs, thats also gone. The whole user experience kinda sucks.

### 4/5 — Track progress

*2025-12-27, version 5.3.2*

This has better usability than the website. I’d like the app to keep track of which sessions I watched and how often — there are checkmarks on the session icons/rectangles but as far as I can tell, they don’t do anything. Also provide some images on those rectangles or color them differently according to the day number— anything to help me remember “oh, I’m doing day 5 today, because yesterday was the green square” here another idea, put the pose names on those squares.

### 2/5 — Why can’t I mark each lesson as complete???

*2025-08-14, version 5.0.23*

I was able to do this last week. I can never remember which lessons I have done so now I have to start and stop u til I find the right one. Also when I click download the lesson it automatically opens safari and asks if I want to view or download. This didn’t happen last week either. And it keeps logging me out of the app every day. Please put it back the way it was!!!!

### 2/5 — 21 day hips

*2025-07-17, version 5.0.10*

The app does not have a way to go to day 2. Very disappointed considering the cost

### 2/5 — Program is good, app is awful

*2025-05-28, version 5.0.10*

This is more a review of the app, not the program (I am only a few days into the program itself and like it so far)

The app does not allow you to maximize or rotate the video, meaning it is super small and unusable on a phone and maybe a bit better on an iPad - I just used three website version which you can maximize or zoom. So don't waste time with the app unless you absolutely need offline access as it's a degraded experience from just using the web

### 2/5 — Videos super, die App ist eine Katastrophe

*2025-01-26, version 5.0.10*

Wirklich gut erklärte Videos, fundiertes Wissen, guter Aufbau.
Man kann das alles aber kaum benutzen weil die App leider wirklich unterirdisch schlecht ist. Hier muss dringend nachgebessert werden.

### 2/5 — Content top, app a flop

*2024-12-17, version 5.0.10*

The content is awesome. But unfortunately it takes ages to load sometimes. Sometimes no indication if something is happening,i.e. if it registered my click, like a loading icon. Yesterday it took 10 minutes (!) to load the video for day 2, week 3 in science of stretching. And no, my internet connection was not to blame. Same issue in the website. Please improve 🙏

### 2/5 — Good program bad app

*2024-12-03, version 5.0.10*

Program is great but app is very difficult to navigate. When I first started the program the app was much more practical and simple. Please revert back to the previous version prior to the most recent ipdate.

### 1/5 — Cost of the membership doesn't include classes

*2024-11-14, version 5.0.10*

I purchased the membership for $60 just to find out that I need to pay additional $70 to access 21 day stretching challenge.
This is not an honest way of doing business

### 1/5 — Great app when it works

*2024-10-09, version 5.0.3*

I love Lucas and his work but this app is awful. You have to keep on logging in EXTREMELY frequently even if you select “keep me logged in”.

It’s soooo frustrating.
I’ve reported it to support several times but it’s never been fixed.

### 4/5 — Effective stretching program, terrible app

*2024-10-03, version 5.0.3*

I do both the science of stretching and the 21 day hip opening challenge. Both programs are great and can be done by pretty much anyone as long as you know your limits and do the regression (modified) versions of the stretches if needed.

My only complaint is how clunky the app is. Science of stretching stopped loading on my iPad so I have to go to the website. The app isn’t really a custom tailored app it more of a detuned website.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bring back Picture in Picture mode

*2026-07-13, version 5.4.2*

The hip opening challenge is great. However, the app has made it very frustrating to use. Prior to the update about 3 months ago, you could start the video session for the day, then swipe up on your iPhone to continue using other apps on your phone (ie. send text messages, check emails, etc.) because you could continue watching the video in Picture in Picture mode (similar to how you can with YouTube or other video apps on your phone) as you hold these extended stretches. I was told that the request to re-enable the Picture in Picture feature (essentially allowing the video to continue playing in a smaller screen on the iPhone when using other functions on the phone) was submitted to the developers. It has now been nearly 3 months since your update removed this feature, which has made it increasingly frustrating to use this app since it restricts the use of the phone if I want to have the video continue playing. This shouldn’t take this long to re-enable considering it was a feature that was already previously available. Attention to detail and making it simple to use matters when you charge people money for an app/service.

### 1/5 — Support function does not work

*2026-07-02, version 5.4.2*

When you try to get in touch via the support function it continually loops back to your course

### 1/5 — Embarrassing app

*2025-10-28, version 5.3*

Do yourself a favour and hire someone who knows how to build apps or switch to a better platform. Stretching is good tho

### 1/5 — App is disappointing

*2025-09-08, version 5.0.24*

I can’t enlarge or rotate the video on either iPhone or iPad. And I can’t cast to my tv either. Using a computer may work but is cumbersome. I paid a good amount for this class and I’d like to see the videos properly as I do each session. Please update this app.

### 1/5 — Upgrade

*2025-08-14, version 5.0.23*

The new upgrade made the app worse. Now it does not track if I completed a class.

### 1/5 — No good

*2025-07-04, version 5.0.10*

The screen size on iPad is the same as iPhone, ie videos are small size and low res. Logging in is constantly buggy. Overpriced for what it is, would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Stick with YouTube.

*2025-04-26, version 5.0.10*

The free YouTube clips are better and easier to follow,
problems accessing the App and doesn’t offer anything other than more purchases.

### 1/5 — Ripoff

*2025-03-29, version 5.0.10*

$60 for the privilege of paying more for programs. A total ripoff and scam.

### 1/5 — App funktioniert nicht!

*2025-03-06, version 5.0.10*

Die App ist total langsam und die gekauften Videos werden nicht angezeigt oder nur teilweise angezeigt.
Echt schlecht, so macht das keinen Spaß.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-02-27, version 5.0.10*

Paid $60 for app and I have to then pay for every single video in the app too. Cool. I want a refund.

### 5/5 — Help!

*2026-06-30, version 5.4.2*

Been helping my Lower back. Go figure. Anytime it feels off. I throw this routine into the mix. I think should probably just do this everyday and then take a week off every now and then. Good stuff. Totally worth it. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Excellent app and trainer

*2026-06-29, version 5.4.2*

I bought science of stretching hip opening challenge several years ago and I’ve been using it ever since. These exercises are the only things that relieve back pain for me. Lucas is a skilled and centred trainer.

### 5/5 — Real Changes in under 3 months

*2026-06-29, version 5.4.2*

The hip program has been terrific for this 58 year old.

### 5/5 — Thank you! YogaBody changed my life.

*2026-05-26, version 5.4.1*

It feels kind of weird to say something as seemingly dramatic as this changed my life, but it is true. I purchased the hip opening series in March of 2025. I had tried many things to help reduce the extreme pain in my hips. I was in my mid 30s thinking it was time to hang up the cleats and stop playing pick-up soccer. I was already wondering if I would have to have hip surgery like my elder family members.

I purchased the YogaBody 21 day hip opening challenge and put in the work and kept at it. Not only is the hip pain gone, but I’m still playing soccer. Plus, I completed my first Triathlon this month (May 2026)! Whenever my hips feel a little tight, I now have the knowledge (and still have the videos) to do a little bit of maintenance stretching.

I wish Lucas and his team the best.

### 5/5 — Great Exercises

*2025-12-10, version 5.3*

While the app is fairly barebones, the exercises have changed my life. I’ve complained about just having a bad back for as long as I can remember. Almost monthly I’ve been laid up with a pulled back. As a new father of 2 boys I’m constantly wrestling and playing. At a certain point I decided I needed to try something else because normal work outs and chiro work havent helped and I want to be able to play with my kids pain free. I’ve now done the happy back challenge 3 times though and my back feels like it did in my early 20’s! Cannot recommend the challenge enough, just look past the barebones app appearance and stick with it!

### 5/5 — Excellent programmes and app quality

*2025-11-22, version 5.3*

I’ve been watching Lucas’ yoga body videos for over a year and 9 months ago purchased the science of stretching course.

The app is a helpful way to keep the courses saved in one place (as I have since purchased all five courses) and to log my practice.

I turned 50 recently and wanted to improve my range of function and keep my mobility high as I am an active tennis player and do a lot of other fitness activity.

The app loads in portrait but once the class sequence starts, I just turn the iPad to landscape and it flows easily.

I find the training sequences are really easy in enclosed spaces (such as hotel rooms when I’m traveling for work) as well as home or outdoors in the garden and having it on my iPad makes the mobility of using the app really easy.

I was surprised by the only other review - perhaps the reviewer do not realise how to use / rotate the iPad and perhaps Lucas / YOGABODY haven’t made it to Australia yet?

Overall I would recommend the programmes and the app. These are in depth training and mobility programmes for everyone from kids to the elderly, fitness freaks to couch potatoes - we can all use more flexibility in our lives.

### 5/5 — Use The Website

*2024-12-31, version 5.0.10*

Thought I’d write a review as YB content has been so beneficial for my bad hip (21 day hip opening challenge is great)

Using the website is much more functional than the app. Don't be dissuaded by some of the bad reviews about the quality of the app. Yoga Body is definitely a good return on investment.

### 5/5 — A good one!

*2024-11-25, version 5.0.10*

The app and the tutorials are perfect. The price for the 21 day hip and back challenge is appropriate. The tutorials are well-structured and clearly understandable. The benefit comes within days. From the scientific side I can tell you as an senior consultant orthopedic MD the content is perfect to get ride of chronic back pain. And I had no issues with locking in, as it was told before…..

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2024-02-19, version 5.0.3*

The app is straightforward and easy to use. The content is terrific. I am working my way through the 21-day hip opening challenge and it’s already made a huge difference.

### 5/5 — Really love the stretches

*2023-12-20, version 5.0.3*

Been doing yoga for a while but really love how Lucas explains which muscles are being stretched and what’s happening inside.helps me connect with my body.

I wish I can download the app on Apple TV though.that’s the only down side from it
