Their main selling point was their 50+ live online classes per week, and this main service was the sole reason I bought the subscription. Three months in and without warning, YogaWorks stopped offering all live classes, the main selling point and service I signed up for. I wrote to them and after several emails, a person named Lisa replied saying she would liaise with YogaWorks for me (huh?). She told me that live classes would be back within a month (May 2026), and that YogaWorks was doing these changes as a result of customer feedback (all other subscribers I talked to were mystified about what feedback this was because we all subscribed for the live classes!). I told this person that YogaWorks could have reached out to paid subscribers to inform us proactively about the upcoming changes; one day after my email, YogaWorks sent out an email to subscribers informing us of the changes. You’re welcome for the business advice, YogaWorks. In this email, they also stated that live classes would be back within a month, which turned out to be false. After several months’ wait, some new classes are being added each week, but they are pre recorded and many have poor quality audio. I feel like YogaWorks has acted in an unprofessional and perhaps fraudulent manner in removing their main offering after I paid for one year of live classes, then giving customers false information about it. I love yoga and Pilates, but my schedule is so erratic that I can’t make classes on the regular. And while I’ve been practicing long enough to know the poses and can do my own routine, it’s hard to turn off and really clear my head. Yoga works is that great in between. I can practice on my own schedule with an instructor who can guide me, letting me relax and get out of my head. The instructors are great, everyone can find someone that fits their needs. ### 4/5 — Good *2025-10-07, version 9.360.8* I have been practicing with YogaWorks for a few years now. I enjoy the live stream classes and wish I committed to streaming them sooner! It would be nice if there were live stream level 2-3 in the evening instead of YogaWorks and Barre being the only weekday evening classes. All the instructors are a little different, but always lead a great class that is never the same. A few of the instructors I really loved are no longer with YogaWorks but their content is still available (Gustavo and Jesse- wish they would return as teachers or sub). I wish Sun A and B were standard in all the vinyasa classes. The BodyWorks and Pilates classes hit all the right places! No longer worth the price. ### 1/5 — Corporate yoga greed *2024-08-21* Yogaworks has taken advantage of hardworking yoga teachers for years. In all their studios across the US the class videos in this app were filmed with teachers who relied on Yogaworks for their living. Instead of giving their teachers fair pay, Yogaworks continually took advantage of teachers by paying them less then minimum wage and usual royalties. These teachers signed horrible deals for these online classes. As a longtime yoga practitioner I refuse to support the financial abuse of yoga teachers. There are plenty of teachers now who have other classes online and my dollars will go there. ### 1/5 — Extremely frustrating user experience *2024-02-07* I’m a big fan of yoga works videos so I’m extremely disappointed to cancel my membership because this app doesn’t let me cast the videos from my iPhone to my chromecast. User support is non existent. Guess I’ll try peloton **Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We do understand your frustration and wanted to share with you that Apple does not allow to cast to chomecast by default, so you may need to log into the platform using chrome on an iphone. Apple makes it very easy to cast to airplay, which is their version. Others have mentioned they got around it by buying an apple tv or an android tablet, which natively allows chromecast. Hope that helps. ### 1/5 — Not worth the price *2023-10-26, version 8.321.1* I’ve had MyYogaWorks for over ten years now. It was amazing to have access to such a wide variety of classes and instructors. With the new format of the app, the “live” classes are just the same 8 instructors streaming from their homes. There’s a lack of professionalism and quality. So I only do the on-demand classes. This would be ok, but the search function, while improved from the release of the app, is still cumbersome. It’s definitely not worth $30 a month. So sad, because I have my RYT 200 through Yogaworks, and doing these classes from seasoned Yogaworks instructors has been like on-going training. ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work *2023-10-12, version 8.321.1* There is absolutely no way to search/sort by class difficulty level. You can search/sort by class duration, style of class, even by teacher, but not difficulty level. There is zero consistency in how class difficulty is labeled—some classes list the difficulty in the class name, others don’t. Some classes are tagged with the difficulty level, some aren’t. They have even (in the current version) disabled user comments on the classes; I found the user comments very helpful, i.e. “This class says Level 1 but it’s easily a 2/3.” Poor app design, poor user interface, poor functionality, and some incredibly stupid choices (why include an autoplay feature that defaults to being turned on? Who is autoplaying yoga classes back-to-back?) make this app, sadly, one to pass on in its current iteration. ### 1/5 — Love Yogaworks, Hate the App *2023-09-13, version 8.300.1* I used Yogaworks a ton during the pandemic. It saved me. But I have to say the app is a huge turn off. I find myself not wanting to go in it because it’s so hard to find anything and distinguish love from recorded classes. I wish the library of recorded classes and the schedule of upcoming live classes were very distinct and easy to browse. Pleaaaaase redesign this app!! I probably won’t renew when my membership ends for this reason. There are so many very well designed yoga apps out there, it’s really doing a disservice to your company and your community. ### 1/5 — Shockingly bad *2023-06-08, version 8.200.1* I’m a graduate of the NYC YogaWorks teacher training and have been a loyal practitioner since 2008. It’s so disappointing to see this platform redesign that renders my paid subscription useless. Finding what you’re looking for is near impossible. You can no longer search by the type of class or body focus (shoulders, hips, etc.). All my favorite/saved classes are gone and even when I search by the specific instructor they aren’t listed. It would be great if YogaWorks could provide an update on timing for the improved functionality it promises in these review responses. Would give zero stars if possible. ### 1/5 — This platform’s days are numbered.. *2023-06-02* The company that bought out yogaworks is quickly crushing the reputation this brand once had. Terrible app, almost all of the original teachers have left, and what’s left is an expensive 30 dollar per month product that offers nothing more special than free classes I can find online. Sad to see this happen. I would highly recommend to everyone to not purchase an annual pass, my guess is the company has already lost so many loyal followers it will all come down soon. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! We are working on adding features from the previous interface to this app. We also record all LIVE streamed classes, so these classes can be done any time. We are adding these recorded classes to our on-demand library DAILY. ### 1/5 — On demand yoga classes okay; live classes failing; price increased *2023-05-25* In addition to search/filter issues others have commented upon, the app does not consistently support connecting to a live instructor. On multiple occasions I have not been able to have the class that I was waiting to attend live become functional. Instead there is only a screen stating when it is supposed to go live - even after the class time has arrived. The instructors are great so if you are looking for an on demand app and are adept at searching for the style, instructor and duration without drop down toolbars, this can meet your needs. I try to remain hopeful about improvements to the app, but currently it is not meeting my needs and after several years of being a member, this is disappointing to pay for a service that can no longer provide a consistent live instructor practice option. Update: Though I had previously confirmed with customer service at YogaWorks about locking in my price and being assured that if my account was in good standing I would not have a price increase, they went ahead and billed me a higher rate then when my automatic payment did not go through, they let me know that the platform had changed so they were increasing prices for all previous customers. The service is reduced, I cannot see why anyone would want to pay more for less. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback!
