## What is Yokai Matsuri?

Step through the torii gate and into a world of restless spirits.
Yokai Matsuri is more than just a cozy match-3 puzzle game rooted in Japanese folklore: it's a lore filled journey. Follow Inari to cleanse shrines as you match yokai tiles to calm their spirits, fill the sacred ensō with harmony, and earn the megumi gifts of six ancient yokai: Kitsune, Tanuki, Bakeneko, Tengu, Oni, and Yuki-onna.
When all six have answered your call, Inari herself steps forward. The fox goddess of the shrine offers her Meccha-Megumi, a sacred fire that purifies the board and opens the path forward.
