## What is Yomikaeshi?

How much do you actually remember from the books you read?

That one line that stopped you mid-page is gone a few days later. Yomikaeshi keeps it — you photograph it once, and it comes back to you, one card a day.

■ All you do is take a photo
1. Photograph the page with the line that struck you
2. The text is recognized on your device and saved as a quote card
3. Every day, at a time you choose, one of your cards arrives as a notification

Nothing to copy out by hand. Nothing to type. Vertical Japanese text is supported too. The recognized text is fully editable, so when the reading isn't quite right, you just retype it there and then.

■ Made for the books on your shelf
E-book highlights sync themselves. Paper books don't. Yomikaeshi is for the ones you underlined, dog-eared, and never opened again.

■ You don't have to keep it up
Reading notes don't fail because writing them is hard. They fail because nobody ever reopens them. Yomikaeshi comes to you instead.

No page counts. No star ratings. No finished dates. No to-be-read pile. There is nothing here to keep up with — just the lines you cared about, coming back.

Yomikaeshi is free to download, and free to use for your first 20 cards. To save more than 20, there is one in-app purchase, "Save Unlimited Cards." You pay once. There is no subscription, and there are no ads.

Photographing, the daily notification, and the widget are free before and after that purchase. So is viewing, editing, deleting, and sharing the cards you have already saved. Delete cards to get back under 20, and you can save again without buying.

■ Privacy
There is no server behind this app. Text recognition and card storage happen entirely on your iPhone. Photos are used only to read the text, and are never saved. No account is required.

■ Yomikaeshi is now free to try
Yomikaeshi used to be a paid app. It is now free to download, and free to use for your first 20 cards. Only when you want to save more than that do you buy "Save Unlimited Cards," a one-time purchase. You pay once, and there is no subscription.
Photographing pages, the daily notification, and the Home Screen widget are free before and after that purchase. So is viewing, editing, deleting, and sharing the cards you have already saved.

■ The camera opens right away
Tapping "Capture Page" now opens the camera directly, instead of first asking you how you want to add the page. There are fewer taps between finding a line and keeping it. Close the camera and you can still pick a photo you already have, just as before.

■ Less to fill in
When you create a new card, the book field is now pre-filled with the book you saved last. Making several cards from the same book no longer means choosing it again each time.

■ A shorter welcome
The three-page introduction is now a single screen, and you can set your notification time right there.

■ Bug fix
If you had not allowed notifications, or had turned "Daily Notification" off in Settings, the Home Screen widget could get stuck showing the same card. It now changes every day regardless of your notification settings.

■ Also
You can now open the App Store review page directly from Settings.
