I have stayed with this story for over 350 chapters and would like to find out the ending. I have been enjoying reading this story and getting to know all the Characters in the book. I have mostly enjoyed all the little side stories of each character. The stories of Charlie and his mate and Pollux has gone on far to long and are dragging on and on. ### 2/5 — Dont buy coins *2024-11-26, version 1.10.0* I really like the stories and stuff but i spent some money to unlock over 70 chapters and they were all locked the next time i logged in wsste of money but if u have the patience to wait for each chapter there is some good stories ### 3/5 — The problem is the coins *2024-11-12, version 1.10.0* I did enjoy it at first but then the coins were added and I know that I speak for a lot of people when I say that not everyone has the funds to spend it on coins. And I don’t see any ad banners or ads at all which you could put instead of having us pay every time we want to read a new chapter. At this point I don’t even see the reason to download this app if you don’t have coins for the chapters because you’ll reach to a certain point of the novel and not be able to read it anymore, which is definitely annoying and if I was you I wouldn’t download this app unless you have the money for coins ### 3/5 — Unintuitive but functional *2024-10-24, version 1.10.0* Really feels like it is reinventing the library in some ways. Odd for sure. ### 1/5 — Great stories, but it's a microtransaction trap *2024-09-22, version 1.10.0* I came here to read *The Remarried Empress* (337 chapters). To read it all in one day, I’d need to spend $99 for 12,000 coins—more than enough to unlock every chapter. That’s an incredibly expensive price for a single book. If you’re okay with waiting for a free chapter each day, the app might work for you. But if you’re like me and prefer to finish a book in one sitting, you’re better off spending $100 at the library for several good reads. ### 2/5 — Prime example for why AI can’t replace human editors *2024-09-14, version 1.10.0* I love k-novels, I don’t love paying over $90-$100 to fully ‘unlock’ all the chapters for a single novel that I don’t even get a physical copy. What’s worse is the chapters are rampant with errors that make it clear the novels are AI translated and not given a copy editing pass by a real human. There are numerous and frequent uses of incorrect pronouns, weird grammar and syntax, missing words, incorrect words, incorrect/or changes to the spelling of character names, and errors in punctuation. I feel sad for the Korean author’s who are having all their hard work treated with no respect as part of a cash grab app. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-08-05* I started reading a book on Yonder without logging in with my Google account. I have been doing this for a while now. I also bought coins from their coin shop for ridiculous prices but shame on me for that. However, this morning as I was trying to purchase the next chapter, I was forced to log on and so I did. My coins were gone. I logged out and tried to use the app without signing in just as I had been doing. Not only did my coin balance not show up (around 350 or so), but the app pushed me all the way back to the beginning where I had to start purchasing the chapters again at chapter 9. I had originally been on chapter 29. Terrible, awful app. I was actually willing to pay for coins but now I’m deleting the app and urging others to do so as well. ### 3/5 — Way too expensive. And the dark theme is killing my eyes *2024-07-26, version 1.10.0* I don’t understand why this app don’t offer themes. It’s so hard to read for people with astigmatism. On the dark theme, white sentences pop out way too much, the rays are all over place with dark theme. Please make an option for theme with dark sentences. ### 1/5 — More options to win coins needed *2024-05-19, version 1.10.0* The stories are brilliant but as soon as I run out of coins for the next chapter I’ve got to wait too long to spin the wheel, as it’s only once a day, to win more coins and it’s never enough so I can read the next chapter because all I ever win is 5 coins so I have to wait another full day to be able to spin for coins again. It would be much better if we could watch videos in order to read the next chapter as it spoils the reading experience when I have to wait 2 or more days to read it. Sort this out as I’m fed up of it. We need another way to get coins, an easier way. I think I might have to delete this app if this doesn’t get fixed. ### 1/5 — Deleted my account TWICE *2024-04-22, version 1.10.0* I enjoyed reading on the app, and the daily free coins that they recently started doing. But on two separate occasions, my account was randomly deleted and I can’t log back in because my account “does not exist” anymore. The first time it was deleted I had to make a new account and I lost all of my coins, all of the chapters I had purchased, and all of my progress. When I sent a complaint Yonder sent back a couple free coins, nowhere near what I had lost. Now a couple months later the same thing has happened again and I was randomly deleted again. I have sent multiple support requests and have gotten no response. The app says that “an account with this email does not exist” when I try to log in, but I still have the emails from the last time my account was deleted so I know that it is the correct email. This is super inconvenient and unfair. I really don’t want to have to make a new account, lose all my progress and my past purchased chapters, and have to try and figure out where I was at in all of my chapters. ### 3/5 — Was loving it but not quite so sure anymore *2024-04-11, version 1.10.0* When I first started with this app over a year ago it was great!! Daily unlocks, read for free, and passes. It has went downhill in the past couple of months. Stories that I was reading with daily unlocks have suddenly disappeared or are not available anymore. There were always new books with new chapters. I don’t know what has happened but I am highly disappointed and don’t comment back with thanks for the review and the feedback. Sounds like you have become an AI. A year ago I would have given you a five out of five and I was nice to give you a 3. ### 1/5 — Predatory microtransaction *2024-04-01, version 1.10.0* If the basis of trying to attract readers and making the experience “affordable” is with time released “deals”, spins and micro currency in the form of coins, steer clear of this scam. They try to upsell flexibility but the real cost of trying read a completed series is easily past 200 dollars, which is absolutely absurd for what the majority of which is high school fanfiction. Save your hard earned money for established authors and literature, not this predatory mtx scam preying on people with gambling problems or poor impulse control. I’ve seen gacha games with more sensibility and ethics than this. ### 2/5 — Bait an Switch *2024-03-10* There are several options to reading a book on YONDER. Because these authors are not published or have an editor that checks their writings before they get put on this site, I’m not willing to pay $.29 a chapter for these books. Some of these books have hundreds of chapters, so I look for the books with the free daily unlock. What really irks me is that halfway through a book they’ll take away the free daily unlock and you’re left to have to purchase the rest of the chapters. The old bait and switch This could end up costing you up to $50 or more to read the end of a book that is not edited, has grammatical errors, and typos throughout. I’m not willing to pay that. Radish is a much better deal when it comes to these kinds of books. Once your chapter is unlocked, after usually only an hour not a full day, they stay unlocked. Yonder feels like a soap opera, where you get a snippet of the story each day and most times you forget what you’ve read in the beginning of the story. The library on YONDER is not near as extensive either. After getting the Bait and Switch for the fourth time on YONDER, I’m probably going to pack it in. I’ll wait till the stories are completed and purchase the last 2 to 3 chapters so I can see how it ended and then I’ll delete the app. It’s just not worth the frustration or the money!!! **Developer response:** Hello, we appreciate your review. If the book is 100 chapters, that’s nearly $30, but most are longer. If you want to charge for completed books fine, but charge a one time fee to unlock the entire thing and don’t make it more expensive than the vast majority of novels. ### 3/5 — WAS enjoying *2024-02-18* So when I first began to read the stories on this app, it was a great experience. Awesome books, anticipating chapter releases and recommendations. I like to scrolling banner that shows new interests and had a weekly pass option for various books, but now everything I enjoyed about the app has changed. There is no longer a pass option on Wednesdays. The books I am reading have lost the option for a new free chapter each day. Several of the translated titles are riddled with errors to the point some parts are not able to be understood at all! There also used to be a prize wheel that could be spun every day for free tokens and such which was the first thing that I noticed disappearing. I understand that there are no ads in this app, but if all of the free options are being taken away because of that, I’d much rather see banner ads and ads at the end of chapters than have to deal with not reading the books I enjoy! Please do something to make this a more enjoyable experience like it was before. I don’t have the funds to buy coins, and I’m almost certain that these books are not in regular libraries. They seem to be self published and it is irritating to deal with that fact. Even the main WEBTOON app has options to get free coins so titles can be read for free. What makes this one so different where that isn’t an option?? I’m seriously irritated by all of the hassles and blocks that have recently come into play with this. Well you can do the math and the math says it’s too much. They try to hook you in with free chapters and promo coins that expire so you pay through the nose for books. I feel bad for the authors that they have got into contracts bc that means that people turned away from their app won’t experience their great books. That’s crazy! ### 1/5 — Overpriced and Misleading 👎 *2024-09-25, version 1.10.0* I downloaded Yonder expecting a great reading experience, but I was left feeling disappointed. The app takes novels, changes their names, and offers them as “exclusive” content, while charging $.25 per chapter—which, for a 500-chapter book, adds up to a whopping $125. That’s an outrageous price for a single book, especially when you consider that the original work has simply been translated and rebranded. It’s unclear if the original authors even receive fair compensation, and the new titles make it hard to trace the connection to the original work. This seems misleading to the reader, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s truly benefiting the creators of the content. Moreover, the app restricts the ability to read offline, and you can’t even take screenshots of the content you’ve paid for. This feels like an unnecessary limitation, especially when considering the high cost. As a paying customer, I expect more flexibility and transparency. I appreciate that apps need to make money, but this pricing model feels excessive and exploitative. I am really disappointed and devastated and I Hope sooooo badly that they will continue this story on Wattpad. I hate that they are abandoning this platform after I’ve spent hundreds on coins to read this 800+ chapter story every week for over a year. It’s just devastating. And now that it’s closing, I can’t even download copies of the ones I’ve paid for that don’t exist anywhere else 😭 You’re not gonna put the ones I like on Wattpad. And Wattpad????? Seriously????? It will never not be the only place to find trash FanFiction. Why do you want to put such wonderful stories there. My A Flame Reborn, becoming the monarch stories, and Surviving My Own Horror Novel are all gonna be gone. And I just now started Miss Pendleton. No way I’m going to be able to finish that in time : ( . So sad. I promise I’ll pay extra if you’d just let me download files of the ones I’ve paid forrrrr. Or at least let me move them to apps I already have and you own. The translations are generally excellent for the most part- I think I have only come across one that was iffy. The opportunity to read these great novels is priceless. PROS: I love the interface, and the customizing ability is also seamless. I also love that we can go back and forth reading the WebNovel and the webtoon from both the Yonder and Webtoon apps. It’s a wonderful way to read for fans of Korean webtoon/WebNovels. CONS: I hate how we can only download on chapter at a time. If we can purchase 100 chapters all at once, shouldn’t we be able to download them at the time of purchase for offline reading? The same issue with the Webtoon app as well. Also, we need a +19 version as well. I want to read translated webnovels from other authors, including BL. Please make that happen for us! There is no platform to read all my favorite BL novels like Willful Negligence, or Walk on Water, or Moscareto stories, etc. That’s my only suggestion so far, but I will update as I go.
