### 2/5 — Wouldn’t connect to all my devices.

*2023-03-02*

This app didn’t support almost any of my devices. It connected to my iRobot account, but will not find my smartlife devices or my shark IQ or any of my other robot vacuums and I couldn’t use it to control the fire stick either a little bit disappointing I wanted this to be a all in one software to control all my smart home devices and automate them. But it just wouldn’t find them all.
Also, if I go to the things tab and press the add devices button, it will discover for a few seconds, and then crash the app. Not sure why this happens either. Overall, I think I’ll stick to IFTTT.

### 3/5 — Watch app not working

*2021-06-13, version 1.7.11*

Apple Watch app is responsive but doesn’t work. Works from my phone but no response from my devices

### 3/5 — App keeps crashing

*2021-04-05, version 1.7.11*

We are having issues with this App crashing. It just started a few days ago and we cannot open it on any of our devices now. We tried deleting and reinstalling however that did not work. Anyone else having a similar problem?

### 2/5 — Heads Up Company Acquired

*2021-02-25, version 1.7.11*

I downloaded and signed up before reading details. (Bad me) I see that the app has not been updated in 9Mo. In this world of IoT and agile, that is a very bad sign. And I just read that the company was acquired in January. I would not expect updates any time soon. Too bad. You would think some company would cash in on being a smart home app aggregator.

### 3/5 — Routines don’t always work

*2020-10-03, version 1.7.11*

I have to give this a three because the routines don’t always work. It works fine controlling lights selected as “things” but when I have lights in routines, often the lights won’t turn on or off as expected. This makes it very difficult to use this app with apple shortcuts, as the only way to control lights with shortcuts is through routines. It can take up to five minutes for a routine to trigger sometimes, but “things” trigger automatically. So if you want to reliably control your lights with Siri without significant lag, this might not be the way to go.

### 4/5 — Does not work on Watch for watchOS7 / iOS 14

*2020-09-27, version 1.7.11*

After the upgrade, the watch app gets stuck at “Loading Your Favorites”

### 3/5 — It works for the most part

*2020-08-05, version 1.7.11*

So it is working. But it is sending me messages that it can not update my location in the past 24 hours. Which is not correct. It opened my garage automatically 2 hours ago.

### 2/5 — Disappointed- Really Miss Stringify

*2019-11-14, version 1.7.7*

Stringify had great intuitive complex routine setup. They had the ability to add time delays in events. I was able to deal with those missing items when I was forced away from Stringify.

However, I have been giving Yonomi the old college try for the last 6 months and I can’t deal with it sending notifications on Insteon routines when it feels like it. It will work for a couple days and then not for a few days and then will for a couple again.

Gotta find something else. Man I miss Stringify.

### 2/5 — No IFTTT integration

*2019-10-21, version 1.7.7*

If you start to get into home automation a bit more than just “turn on a light when this happens” this app isn’t for you. The triggers are very limited, and they’ve decided not to integrate with other standard home automation platforms like IFTTT, which would make them so much better!

### 1/5 — Missing support for almost all my smart devices

*2019-04-19, version 1.7.5*

Very disappointed. No smartthings support, no ihome, iLife, keen, etc. This app literally has the least amount of support for the devices that I own. What makes it more frustrating is that their interface attempts to look like they support a lot of devices by giving 5 different ways to see the same small list. One list is fine, the "Category" list is Just a waste of time. There are so many better ways to organize than the image heavy small modal window.

In addition even supported devices don't give you a clear path to set up and their is NO DISCOVERY option for the brands that are not as popular or even the ones that they say they support. Rather the supported devices focus on purchasing rather than setting up.

Unfortunately this was a total let down. While IOT offers some amazing enhancements, the true benefit is when you can set up automation and routines. I had high hopes as many fellow IOTers were recommending Yonomi after the the stringify sunset announcement. The problem that is not exclusive to this app is I have yet to find an app that supports everything. The new smartthings and Google home come close but they are still not complete.

I do have hope for Yonomi and I applaud their effort for trying to help in the broken industry. Hopefully they will get a full list of devices. And hopefully they will will make a more intuitive app.

### 3/5 — Missing a few things

*2019-04-15, version 1.7.5*

It’s no stringify, but since that is shutting down..

It desperately needs IFTTT Integration and also better date time granularity. Including fade on and off functionality.

### 2/5 — Not really a viable alternative to Stringify

*2019-04-09, version 1.7.5*

While there are some specific devices that are supported that other apps don’t, all my light switches are Leviton and not supported. Having the “only if” option is nice but I can’t find any way to track multiple people from the household to automate only when the last person leaves or the first person arrives home. There is virtually no documentation or tutorials for anything more complex than making a light come on or a speaker play music. With Stringify being gone in a few months, there is a huge hole to fill. These guys should step it up or someone else has a great opportunity to.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App no longer functions

*2021-04-04, version 1.7.11*

I sent in a few support requests 2 Months ago to no reply. Since the last iOS update the app crashes on launch. So there’s a few automations I would like to delete since the app has been abandon but I can’t even open it.

This was the best home automation app for about 4 years and it was free so I don’t want to complain too much but at least a heads up that the app has been depreciated would have been nice.

### 1/5 — Never use location settings with locks

*2020-12-31, version 1.7.11*

I woke up the morning to find out that the Yonomi app had run my coming home routine at 12:41 AM (I was fast asleep) which consists of opening my garage door and unlocking my house. It was based on location, and begins to run as I drive near my home. Somehow my location service must have glitched, and Yonomi thought I had just arrived home and opened my whole house at 12:41 am. Fortunately nothing was stolen and we are safe. This could have gone very differently. Do not trust this app with location based routines. I’m deleting it from my phone. I’ll just use the controller from now on. That was actually a scary thing that happened and the app should have some kind of redundancy like August lock does to make sure you actually left and came back. Bad bad bad and dangerous.

### 1/5 — Needs more accounts

*2020-10-05, version 1.7.11*

Today I saw the review level for this and wanted to try it to manage all the devices in my house, when I went to setup accounts none of the accounts for my devices was listed except iRobot. Add more accounts for use and I will come back.

### 1/5 — Constantly “server unavailable”

*2020-02-04, version 1.7.9*

I’d ask for my money back. This app is atrocious. Every week I get a server error. Then I have to disconnect my lutron lights and log back in to get them to work again. Then over any weekend, this app dies. On Monday, I have to repeat the whole process over again.

This app is useless and developers need to address this issue and update app with a fix.

Developers. Let’s get this fixed. Last update just madd it worst.

### 1/5 — Very Cool, Then I Logged Out

*2019-11-07, version 1.7.7*

I was very intrigued by this, because I’ve been looking for a reliable way to get Siri to interact with my Logitech Harmony system for years. I was able to get it set up, linked to Harmony, and into Siri Shortcuts extremely easily. And then I accidentally logged out.

Whenever I try to log in, the app crashes, and then leaves me in a weird state where it lets me in, but I’m logged into a completely empty account (no name, no picture, no email address, no devices, etc.)

I’ve reinstalled the app, reset my password, created a new account, searched their help site, and failed to find any support contact information.

I’d love to be able to use this app, if only it would let me!

### 1/5 — Watch app stopped loading favorites.

*2019-10-01, version 1.7.7*

The watch app was working great and has since stopped loading the favorites. I assume this is the reason that I cannot run any commands through Siri on my watch. iPhone app works great still. Please fix the watch app. I have tried to delete and reinstall both on phone and watch with no luck.

### 1/5 — Terrible Terrible Terrible App

*2019-08-09, version 1.7.6*

This is a terrible app, and by no means a substitute for the amazing Stringify app. This app can barely handle simple on/off instructions.

I had a couple of routines to turn on lights at specific times and maybe half of them would be on. Many times, none of the lights would be on. My breaking point came when at 2 AM the other night, several of my lights started to randomly turn on and off, for hours at a time. They only stopped once I deleted the Yunomi app from my ipad.

Terrible, terrible, terrible app. Stay away and don't download.

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2019-07-21, version 1.7.6*

Interface is pretty good but miss all of the tools that were available on stringing. Most of time works fine, but I frequently get notification that routine ran, but really didn’t. Seems kind of random so it’s pretty annoying.

Big downside I just realized is that your phone needs to send the signal to run a routine. I was on a long international flight, and wasn’t connected to WiFi. During that time, my Kasa automatic lights stopped working. When I got home, I deleted Yonomi and switched to IFTTT.

Stringify was better than everything, but it’s no longer available. Yonomi has reliably of smart devices for 20 years ago. Pass on this app and get something more reliable.

### 1/5 — Where is support for Nest cam

*2019-07-19, version 1.7.6*

In Stringify I could turn on hue lights when my Nest cam saw a person, wait 12 minutes, turn lights off. When I go to set up a routine with this app and select my Nest Cam, the only options I see are “Set Home” and “Set Away”. Might be more appropriate for my Nest thermostat, but useless for the cam. IFTTT will turn on lights when cam sees motion, but that switches on lights every time a car goes by - useless. Where is smart home support for Nest?..... interested in buying new low cost Wyze smart bulbs, but, again, no Wyze support.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t support Samsung SmartThings

*2019-07-15, version 1.7.6*

Is used to use Stringify with a SmartThings hub until Stringify got discontinued. Many arrows pointed to this application as a viable replacement and as much as they might all be correct it seems like it doesn’t support Samsung SmartThings, therefore it rendered it useless for my own needs.
It seems to me like like the hub i use it isn’t such an unknown brand and not supporting it cuts a large user base out of their platform.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — If only I set this up years ago.

*2023-09-21*

Late to the game. I downloaded this app 2 years ago and just recently set it up only the get an email that Yonomi was shutting down. This app is amazing even for the short time I’ve used it. I hope for continued success for the developers.
Does anyone have a similar app they can recommend?

### 5/5 — It just works!

*2021-10-24, version 1.7.11*

Downloaded because I wanted to use my Logitech Harmony Hub with Siri and shortcuts which isn’t natively supported. I was up and running with Yonomi in less than 5 minutes!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2021-02-16, version 1.7.11*

This might be the best automation app I’ve seen. It can connect to multiple apps, run multiple tasks from the same app or different ones and you can program it to do everything at once. That’s incredibly powerful....connects to my Harmony, Hue and August Apps for some of the commands I’ve configured it with.

I have a scene configured where it unlocks my door, turns on 16 lights, turns on my tv and sound bar at the same time. I have a SiRi shortcut setup with this and it’s incredible. I also have the home hub so it’s all accessible remotely for me as well.

### 5/5 — Sonos Speakers

*2020-01-11, version 1.7.9*

I cannot access my Sonos speakers on the Sonos app unless I’m connected to my home network. This app lets me turn them on or off regardless of where I am. It works great!

### 5/5 — Absolutely Love This App!

*2019-12-20, version 1.7.8*

You can connect so many devices with this platform! The routine creation is simple and intuitive! Thanks, Yonomi!

### 5/5 — Finally a fix for Alexa Sonos Volume

*2019-12-01, version 1.7.8*

Thank you so much for brokering a fix to my problem with Alexa volume control not handling my Sonos sound until I have the music on and blaring!

Excellent, easy, setup was intuitive and fast—15 minutes and it worked immediately!

### 5/5 — Don’t listen to the haters

*2019-09-11, version 1.7.7*

I’m a fan of this app. No, it doesn’t support every brand of IoT device out there, but that’s on the maker of that device people not Yonomi. Stop griping because it doesn’t support SmartThings...that’s on Samsung. Duh. What it does support, it does well and reliably for me so far. I love the Apple Watch interface as well. Like being able to run a routine from my watch through yonomi when I come back from walking my dogs to unlock my door, turn on my lights and TV. Pretty cool. The geofencing is like other apps and I’m not sure how to set a tighter radius for my liking on that but still a cool feature for most.

### 5/5 — Love the Siri shortcuts for Logitech Harmony

*2019-02-05, version 1.7.5*

I downloaded this to try out the Apple Shortcuts feature to control Logitech Harmony devices since it’s missing in the Logitech app.

Now I can turn on Apple TVs, home theatre, amplifiers, Airplay 2 devices, radios etc using Siri!

### 5/5 — Controls Insteon devices faster than Insteon app

*2018-05-10, version 1.6.7*

Controls Insteon devices faster than Insteon app
Static font size only shows the first word in a device name. So far, Echo wins the award for best Insteon integration.

### 5/5 — Great Add-on for Alexa

*2018-03-10, version 1.6.7*

The Yonomi app is a great force multiplier for Alexa voice control. It adds capability above and beyond that which is available with Alexa alone. It provides good control of my Harmony hub based multimedia center, and even controls my air conditioner. Highly recommended!
