Email is constantly questioned WHY WHY WHY ### 4/5 — Crashes constantly *2021-05-15, version 3.3.07* Since the May 12th update, this app crashes instantly on my iPad 2….IOS 9.3.5. Deleted, restarted iPad, reinstall……nothing….just opens and crashes within a second. It’s fine on my phone but who wants to read a newspaper on their phone! ### 4/5 — More sports coverage *2020-12-03, version 3.2.43* Maybe 1/3 of York County population is of school age. Have you ever evaluated the amount of coverage you give HS sports? I can remember when junior high wrestling matches were given a column in your paper. My husband had to call in the results after a match, no matter how late. Now only HS sports are covered and often a day later. I used to buy a paper daily- now there is not enough information to warrant that purchase ### 4/5 — Comments *2020-11-08, version 3.2.43* This viewer app is very good to be able to read the newspaper just as it was printed & formatted. Much better than the other YDR scrolling app (rated 1 or 2 stars). However this viewer app sometimes has resolution issues whereby a photo description or cartoon will not focus & stays grainy, or pixel-ed. ( it’s probably an issue with the original server upload or the app, but this happens now & then. Zoom in/out feature is great, otherwise. ### 2/5 — Locks up *2019-12-30, version 2.9.10* Very recently the app locks up when i tap on an article to read. Nothing works to unfreeze it other than deleting the app and reinstalling it. That is the only solution. That is not acceptable. No stars ### 1/5 — Locks up every time *2019-12-20, version 2.9.10* The app used to be ok even though it was obvious that meant articles were written in the past because they had already been on ydronline,but now, while the opens ok and changes pages, as soon as I tap on an article, it looks up. Current iPad Air but on past models also. Now, it will not open in my preferred one page Landscape mode, and with each crash it reopens in a two page configuration leaving me to keep hitting the "fit" button. It's just not pleasant to read this paper with this app. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2012-11-20, version 2.1.0* Every time I click "latest" the entire bar disappears and I don't ever get it back. I like being able to read the articles but takes forever to load it clearly. ### 1/5 — Primitive *2012-02-19, version 2.0.13* This is NOT an "e" version of the paper, like the terrific USA Today app. It is a scan of the paper version which you can zoom in on. No e content at all, and to boot, it is very unstable. Constantly shuts down for no reason, sometimes doesn't load. Unbelievable in this day and age, and they charge you $80 a year for it! It’s easy to navigate all sections and I like the full news item displayed when it carries over to another page in the print edition.
