Keeps logging me out Ads on stories will cover half the text and move with it so you can not read the story Alongside the fact that certain stories will have commenting switched off or anything that goes against the view of the paper will be deleted ### 1/5 — Unreadable comments *2022-10-05, version 8.2.0* What’s the point of people posting comments if you cannot read them. It’s just comes up with Oops try again. Not very useful. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2022-09-19* I downloaded the app because I have trouble viewing articles on my browser but unfortunately it won’t show news stories at all. It just says that Something Went Wrong and to refresh, but that has no effect at all. ### 1/5 — Very poor news app *2022-09-06, version 8.1.2* I suspect the reporters are largely young kids doing “media studies” at our ever expanding Kirklees College and the grown up reporter has a fixation for certain pub landlords. Come on sort it out, can’t even save articles or comments atm ### 3/5 — News *2021-12-15* Stories come to an abrupt end, and don’t update them to let us know the outcome. Saturdays are a let down and continue week after week on the same theme which by looking at the comments on these stories people are tired of this. Journalists take their content from other media papers or Facebook, seldom do journalists go out to interview at the scene. e.g. the story of the couple living in their car in Redcar sea front appeared day after day on YL no journalists went to interview them or asked questions where the male drove to every day, then after a week the story ended. The murder trial of Star Hobson, was printed for one day as what was said in court, then nothing. YL used to have a dedicated court reporter covering Leeds and Bradford crown court. Now I have to read live details as it happens on Telegraph and Argus website. It’s annoying making the effort to post a constructive comment for it to disappear into the ether when the illiterate comments are posted. Now being charged a subscription if you want to read full stories, including death announcements, how low can you go. Did no one at MGN bother to research what happened to that app and the terrible feedback and massive number of deletes after the BBC news app updated? You’ve made the same errors as they did, and no doubt you’ll get the same response from users - delete! This is now similarly unusable, so delete it will be. Just saying… ### 1/5 — Not worth paying for *2023-10-19, version 9.1.0* Used this app for a while now and have got used to the poor reporting, use of stock “Google “ photos and the obsession with some little known Yorkshire tv stars but now expecting people to pay for this rubbish is ridiculous. Can’t filter the content, so just won’t use it.
