Paste or Type a Note New Note now has a Paste or Type Note option. Write straight into YostNotes, or paste text from anywhere — meeting notes, an email, an article you want boiled down — and get a summary back. It uses none of your recording minutes. Notes Finish in the Background Stop a recording, then lock your phone or switch apps. YostNotes keeps transcribing and summarising, and lets you know when the note is ready. Never Starts Over If iOS pauses the work to save battery, YostNotes picks up exactly where it stopped rather than transcribing your recording all over again. Recordings Survive Interruptions A phone call, Siri, or an alarm in the middle of a recording no longer erases what you'd already captured. Recording picks back up when the interruption ends, and every part is saved together in one file. No Accidental Discards Closing the recording screen now asks before deleting captured audio, and the recorder can't be swiped away mid-recording. Your audio only goes away when you say so. Audio Rescue If the system's audio engine ever crashes mid-recording, YostNotes now recovers everything captured so far and keeps recording, instead of losing the session. CloudSync Across Your Devices Sign in and your notes, transcripts, summaries, flashcards, and folders sync automatically to every device, including iPhone, iPad, and Android. Edits and deletes flow both ways, so you're always looking at the latest version. End-to-End Encrypted Your notes are encrypted on your device with a passphrase only you know, before they ever reach our servers. We store nothing but ciphertext. A one-time recovery key unlocks a new device, audio and photos stay on your device, and signing out leaves your local notes untouched. Tick Off Action Items Action items are now a real checklist. Tap one to check it off. Your progress is saved with the note, syncs to your other devices, and shows up in shared links and PDF exports. Better Speaker Names Summaries now read the transcript with speaker labels attached, so names are matched to the right person far more reliably, and action items get attributed to whoever actually took them on. When there's any doubt, YostNotes keeps the numbered label instead of guessing. RELIABLE CHAT EDITS Ask the Summary chat to fix something—like "Change Ambatom to AION"—and it now applies everywhere that name appears. Corrections are case-insensitive and catch both the full and short forms of a name, so nothing slips through. And if a request ever can't be completed, you'll get a clear reason instead of a generic error. TIDIER NOTE MENU A note's options menu is shorter and easier to scan. Every sharing and export choice—public link, PDF, HTML, plain text, and audio—now lives under a single Share button, and photo actions are grouped under Photos. CLEANER READING VIEW The audio player now appears only on the Transcript tab, giving the Summary and your other tabs more room to breathe. Plus reliability and polish improvements throughout.
