My biggest issue is with managing the settings on my children’s players. The process to connect to wifi seems broken because it will confirm connection was successful during setup but then shows as offline afterwards. The other main issue is that the settings for Morning and Evening keep getting erased and set back to either midnight, zero brightness, and/or full volume. With Hundreds of media options they always have something to listen to! The WiFi names kept changing after I would select them so it kept saying it couldn’t connect. Then would have to start the entire process over again instead of just being able to try my password again. Then, after getting it connected, I went into the device settings and it hadn’t remembered the WiFi I just entered! So I had to do it all over again. I had to enter my child’s name 3x before it saved it, too. UI is fine. I cannot for the life of me get this to work the right way. This company has suspended live chats and even their email is manned by bots. I believe it would be a simple fix if I could just get a hold of someone. I am going to have to contact my credit card company to try and claw back the amount I spent on the club. Transferring media to play on a device often fails. You can’t move the playback forward or backwards which makes it so much worse than any other media app. You can’t set a sleep timer for the end of current track. This happens numerous times. After you click “create playlist’ the playlist has no audio then you need to re add all the audio. And it’s super hard to share cards with your friends. What’s the point of the cards at all. Our son has a handful of cards for music and his favorite book series although we have been utilizing Brain Bots and SoundTrekkers lately on a daily basis. Such a great, screen-free supplement to his home learning fun!! ### 5/5 — Game Changer *2026-08-23, version 3.38* The Yoto player mini has been an absolute game changer for our almost 3 year-old. Took him a while to get used to the concept of an audiobook, but the pixel art definitely helps give him something to focus on while listening to his stories. Every night before bed after we read to him, he gets to choose something to listen to by himself, and it is the perfect way to wind down before he goes to sleep. Now he asks to go to bed every night just to listen to a story! I also love that you can record your own stories. They’ve used them daily to fit in the gaps this summer. We regularly take trips with anywhere from 1-3 hour long drives. They use these and have completely forgotten to ask for the iPad. For the most part. One of our most used cards is the dino rock card.
