Now, out of nowhere all of a sudden, it’s been slashed to 2 per day? That’s not even enough to test one photo and/or one video. It feels like a massive bait-and-switch scheme once they got enough users. I have over 200 coins, but the "daily" limit is so restrictive it’s basically unusable now unless you want to pay for every single click. Don’t get attached to the "free" features; they’ll pull the rug out from under you. TRASH! *2026-01-16, version 1.33.6* The price of this app is too expensive for what it provides. I urge you all to not even sign up for the free trial if you can help it. They will scam you out of your money and never refund you. There are cheaper apps that will allow you a reasonable grace period and let you cancel services accordingly. $80 for this trash app is unacceptable! ### 1/5 — Misleading and unsatisfactory outcome *2026-01-12, version 1.33.0* I subscribed to YouCam Plus specifically to restore, enhance, and colourise old family photos. What I received was far more restricted than advertised, with core AI features locked behind an additional Pro upgrade, even after paying for Plus. After only one or two uses, I was repeatedly blocked and prompted to upgrade again. This was not clearly disclosed before purchase and made the Plus plan effectively unusable for its intended purpose. Customer support has been equally disappointing. I was incorrectly told my purchase was through Google Play (it was not), and after explaining this multiple times and requesting a refund due to misleading functionality, I received either templated responses or no response at all. For comparison, I used Remini, which delivered significantly better results, clearer pricing, fewer restrictions, and far superior photo restoration quality. Remini did in minutes what YouCam failed to do after multiple paywalls. I would not recommend YouCam Plus. The pricing structure feels misleading, and customer support does not resolve legitimate issues. Then I canceled it. They are still trying to charge me. The credit card they are using has expired so it will not go through. But because it won’t go through I can’t update any update any of my other apps. Because it says I owe this app money. I canceled. I can’t even get back on this app because I “owe” money. So my phone is basically unable to update anything until invite them 87 dollars. And you can’t get in touch with anyone to help you. ### 1/5 — Subscriptions within a subscription make this app basically unusable *2026-08-27, version 1.39.2* I pay a subscription to this app - for a while that got me 20 uses of the “AI agent” per day. Now the terms have been changed and my subscription appears to get me a few monthly uses but I’d need to pay more on top of the paid subscription to use it regularly. As most of the photography functions on this app can be done by other mainline AI services I already subscribe to it doesn’t really make sense to keep paying for this. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2026-08-03, version 1.39.1* Do not download this app! Es kam kein vernünftiges Ergebnis heraus, der Test wurde enttäuscht abgebrochen und das Probe Abo gekündigt. Da ich aber nicht 24 Stunden vor Ende der Probezeit gekündigt habe, wurden mir die 89 € für die Pro Version voll berechnet, Diskussionen waren erfolglos. Jetzt wollte ich als Pro User die KI etwas intensiver testen und - da soll ich zur sinnvollen Bearbeitung auch noch Credits kaufen. So etwas habe ich auch noch nicht erlebt! **Developer response:** Das tut uns leid! I’ve no clue what this App actually does all I experienced was many different ways of it trying to force a sign up or to get credits. There was no ‘free’ content that I could see and It would appear that the minimum you will pay to animate just one picture is £7.99. What the quality is or if it works or not I don’t know. The image to video is so cool! I used the image to video feature to create a video of my granddaughter and my puppy, Buckeye, and the video was absolutely perfect! Just the repairs of everyday so-so pictures results in beautiful qualify pictures.
