In the previous update I enjoyed the multiple background music options. I like that I can access multiple readings from one app. I would honestly expect more than just removing ads for the paid version, so I just stick to free. ### 3/5 — My FAVORITE Devotion app BUT The Music Player is freezing the app! *2025-12-26* Was VERY HAPPY with the previous enhancement you made within an app! Music was a nice thought but it’s freezing devotional content! Even if the music isn’t on it still freezes! Once you tab on the devotional, it freezes! Also, with Daily Light on the Daily Path, can you bring back reading the scripture references,please. One more thing, the calendar is off a day late with Morning and Evening Prayer by JR Miller. Ok I’m done! I would have given it five stars if I didn’t keep getting ads. I have paid the subscription amount to not have ads but I still get them, very annoying. I can no longer change the scenery picture if I want to share the verse of the day, Some of the icons seem to be “broke“. I reached out to the developer to see if I could revert back to the earlier version, but had no response from him. It is still a most helpful app, but I’m hoping they can get these bugs fixed. I love this app and use it during my devotional time every day. You get multiple devotionals not just one, and I use the two Spurgeon ones daily. The pictures are beautiful and I love that I can edit the verses before I share them. My only criticism is that I paid for the app because I wanted to support it’s creator, and that should have removed the ads, but it didn’t. I still have them. They are rare and not even annoying but I was slightly disappointed that they were not removed as promised. Overall a five star app. **Developer response:** You can use Settings > Restore Purchases if you're seeing ads in the app or using the app on multiple iOS devices. It is Luke 2:40 ### 1/5 — Okay devotional, possible gross tactics *2022-01-07* I’m sure they can’t control WHAT ads are shown. But I had not seen an ad til this morning and what do you know it’s a promiscuous “yoga” ad (I thought it was a virtual sex app because it was blatantly sexual) and I’m not a square I’m a drug addict in recovery. Funny thing is, it asked me to rate the app after the ad (no big deal) then asked me to support the developers to remove ads. I felt like if I had an addiction to pornography or sex this would have absolutely been a temptation. Maybe it’s just how satan works but you can’t trust technology or anyone involved in it, it seems these days anyways. ### 1/5 — ????????? *2021-10-21, version 5.9.4* So! Then there are lessons to guide and grow your mindset I Jesus. And finally, there is an evening prayer to close out your day with. Everyday, each component is new and fresh and it feels like spiritual companion. I love how you can easily share various components with others. This is a blessing because God’s word is not just for you to covet. It is meant to be shared and to lift others up to a higher and better place. Even though he was from the 1800s much of what he says is for today too. My only disappointment is why this app has to change the writing to adapt to the US market in todays it says 5 cents but in the original it’s 5 pounds the currency of England and 5 pounds is more like 5 dollars ### 5/5 — Blessings *2024-04-25, version 8.1.4* Such a blessing to have these words of faith and encouragement available at my fingertips. I have used many if these writings in print books and love the joy they bring. To have these precious thoughts from the “old saints” is a gift beyond measure. To be able to share daily blessings with others is a gift. I love the About section in Settings that allows me to know the source of these beautiful devotions.
