## What is Your Kairos?

Kairos is the personal analytics engine for everything you'd otherwise spread across seven apps and a spreadsheet. One timeline, your data, your patterns — surfaced, never prescribed.

MORNING RATING
Each morning the home page asks you to rate yesterday across three axes — energy, mood, focus — on a 1–5 scale. Your ratings become first-class features in the analyzer: modes get characterized in your own vocabulary, and coupling can answer "what tracks with mood?" against every other series you're collecting.

HEALTH
Connect Apple Health on your iPhone. Sleep, HRV, recovery, workouts, and steps flow into one timeline. Compatible with WHOOP, Oura, Garmin, Fitbit, and Apple Watch — all write into HealthKit; Kairos reads from there. Strava layered on for cardio specifically.

MONEY
Plaid integration imports transactions and balances across banks, brokerages, and credit cards. Auto-categorized via 15 curated tags. Recurring subscriptions auto-detected from your transactions — track them before they pile up.

CALENDAR
Sync up to five Google Calendars side-by-side. Meeting load, free-time breakdown, and category mix across 30d / 90d / 1y windows. A weekly rhythm heatmap surfaces when your time actually gets booked vs. when it stays free.

SOCIAL
Family, Friends, and Partner each get their own view. Track who you haven't reached out to in months, ranked by relationship depth. The Partner view goes deepest — a lifetime 7×24 message-rhythm heatmap, 52 weeks of volume, streak counters, and since-first-contact totals.

iPHONE
Connect your encrypted iPhone backup from a Mac. Messages, calls, and photos become heatmaps, time-of-day histograms, and top-contact rankings.

ANALYTICS
A per-user Hidden Markov Model identifies stable patterns in your data — "modes" you cycle through, change-points when something shifts, couplings between metrics. Your morning rating becomes a feature in the model, so modes get characterized in your own words instead of system-inferred meaning. Descriptive, never prescriptive.

PROSE
An optional narrative layer that reads what the analyzer surfaces and describes it in plain language. A 7-day recap, a rotating pair of your own past messages with the context of the day around them, and a branching Discover view that lets you explore any pattern the analyzer flagged. Uses Claude; strictly opt-in; nothing goes to an LLM unless you turn it on.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Per-user encryption for stored OAuth tokens. Export your full database any time. No ads. No user-tracking analytics. No data sold or shared, ever. Error monitoring via Sentry with PII scrubbed before submission; CAPTCHA on signup via Cloudflare Turnstile.

BUILT FOR
You, if you've tried Notion, Airtable, bullet-journaling, and three different habit trackers and wanted a single home that actually understands time as the primary axis — and treats your own labels as the ground truth, not someone else's.

Email verification and optional TOTP 2FA.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0.2 — 2026-07-19

Bug fixes and behind-the-scenes improvements.

### 3.0.1 — 2026-07-13

Kairos 3.0.1 broadens what flows into the model — new listening sources, more calendars, and a cleaner Integrations tab.

• LISTENING — Apple Music integration joins Spotify. Both surface plays / minutes / top-artists / top-genres across 7d / 4w / 6m / 1y. Spotify moves to a BYO Dev App model — no more shared user cap. Both offer full-history ZIP backfill from your provider data export.

• CALENDARS — Microsoft (Outlook) and Apple (iCloud) alongside Google. Up to 5 accounts per provider in one Calendars tile.

• SETTINGS — new 7-tile Integrations layout matching the Modules and Account tabs. Multi-account tiles expand inline. Tighter copy across every row on mobile.

Plus: iOS Strava / Google Calendar connect no longer freezes on the provider's authorize page (moved to native ASWebAuthenticationSession). Faster forward-sync for Spotify and Apple Music.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-07-10

Kairos 3.0 makes the analyzer work in your own vocabulary — and adds a plain-language read on what it finds.

• MORNING RATING — rate yesterday across energy, mood, and focus. Your ratings become first-class features in the model, so modes get characterized in your own words instead of system-inferred meaning. Coupling can now answer "what tracks with mood?" against every other series you're collecting.

• PROSE — a new narrative view alongside the model. A 7-day recap, curated moments from your own past messages with the day's context, and a branching Discover view that lets you explore any pattern the analyzer flagged. Uses Claude; strictly opt-in.

• SOCIAL — Family, Friends, and Partner each get their own view. The Partner view goes deepest — a lifetime 7×24 message-rhythm heatmap, 52 weeks of volume, streak counters, and since-first-contact totals.

• CALENDAR — dedicated top-level page. Weekly rhythm heatmap, meeting-load and free-time breakdown, category mix across 30d / 90d / 1y, up to 5 Google Calendars side-by-side.

• HEALTH — all wearable data now flows through Apple HealthKit. WHOOP, Oura, Garmin, Fitbit, and Apple Watch write into HealthKit; Kairos reads from there. Historical data from earlier direct connections is preserved.

Plus: faster home dashboard, improved Google Calendar reconnect, CAPTCHA on signup, per-user LLM spend cap.

### 2.0.4 — 2026-07-07

NEW CALENDAR PAGE
Google Calendar analytics has its own home now: meeting load, free-time breakdown, and category mix across 30d / 90d / 1y.

SOCIAL REBUILD
Split into Family, Friends, and Romantic. Partner deep-dive tile, family gap tracking, and a birthdays strip.

ANALYTICS
New home-page mode timeline labels transitions with dates. Under the hood: honest p-values, AICc entry gate, warm-start EM, min-dwell smoothing. Modes are more stable across nightly refits; findings are more conservative.

VITALS
Windowed averages for HRV, RHR, sleep, and recovery across 7d / 30d / 90d, with a coverage badge that hides values when data is too sparse.

HEALTHKIT BACKGROUND SYNC
Apple Health writes propagate automatically — no manual pull to refresh.

SPEND
Plaid auto-detects recurring subscriptions. Adopt any merchant from Top Merchants in one tap.

MOBILE NAV
Bottom nav on mobile, top nav on desktop.

### 2.0.3 — 2026-06-30

• Background sync for Apple Health — new WHOOP / Apple Watch data lands in Kairos within minutes, automatically (no manual sync needed)
• Vitals tile rebuilt: 7d / 30d / 90d toggle, per-cell data-coverage badges (e.g., 5/7) so missed days are visible, and a sleep-duration fix for WHOOP and other stage-blind providers
• Integrations tab: uniform Sync + Disconnect on every connected row, "Add another bank" / "Add another GCal" moved to a bottom "Add more" section, Apple Health pinned to the top, GCal Reconnect on iOS now uses the in-app browser
• Today page tiles reordered on phone: Daily on top, Periodic middle, Listening bottom
• Onboarding shows time estimates per connect step and leads with Apple Health on iOS
• Settings polished: Monthly budget editable inline on the Spend page, weight start/target inline on the Weight tile, Preferences trimmed to Timezone / Money / Modules
