On the 1st use, everything went fine without any issue. The 2nd time around the mechanic was a no show and I adjusted my work schedule for the scheduled service period. The app has no way for you to contact anyone when that happens. I had to send an email from the confirmation alert. I will go to yelp from now on and avoid the $150 diagnostics fee. I don’t mind paying for the convenience, but the app would be better if you can leave reviews for your mechanic - right now it is the wild Wild West. ### 3/5 — Paid $700 for services but received none. *2024-08-20* If you use AfterPay be careful. Yourmechanic is having issues with orders disappearing after you pay with AfterPay. I am on day 5 of waiting for a resolution… I’ve sent receipts, waited for callbacks, still nothing.. and it’s not like car problems just go away on their own. I scheduled an appointment to have my car serviced and the brakes replaced 3 weeks out. Then two days before the appointment I get a text saying my appointment was cancelled because the mechanic had a personal emergency.. When I called to reschedule they told me that they no longer have mechanics in the area who can service my vehicle. So 1) they lied to me - if this were personal emergency then the mechanic would be back at some point, not just gone. 2) if you can’t provide the service the DON’T OFFER IT. Now I have to get in with a local dealership and that may take up to two months, and I’m already past due on my service because I was waiting for the one I had scheduled. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like the plague. The consistent 1 star rating should say it all. Also notice that they have stopped responding to the reviews. Seems like they know the company is garbage and they are fine with that. ### 1/5 — UNRELIABLE *2024-06-18, version 5.2.0* I have made four appointments and been last minute no-showed on three of them. In theory a great concept, but the mechanics just can’t be counted on to show up and you end up wasting your time and dragging out the time needed to fix your car. ### 1/5 — Bad service! *2024-05-21* I scheduled an appointment for today at 9 AM at the hours that the advisor will be open to be called and I called them around 10 AM. I had no account on the app which I do. The mechanic never showed up at 9 AM. I’ll try to message him, I didn’t get a reply nor talk to anybody through customer service. I don’t know how the ratings are so high on this app which can be very misleading when you’re done with the person within the company that is presented to you and they’re not showing up on time or they’re not communicating to you.. ### 1/5 — Issue *2024-05-01, version 5.2.0* Hello, I booked my appointment on Wednesday 2 pm. My mechanic was no longer available in my area, waited two hours, nobody even called me and say something about that. Just lost my time. Complete waste of money ### 1/5 — CONSUMER BEWARE- SOPHISTICATED SCAM *2025-02-08, version 7.1.0* TOTAL SCAM!!!! I filed a dispute with my credit card company and reported to the State Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, and BBB. If you’ve also been scammed by them, you should do the same. They rescheduled me several times- never once showed! Placed $150 hold on my credit card upon initial booking. Eventually charged me the full amount for repairs- $213.97. I called customer service, and they refused to issue a refund. They claimed we were waiting on a back ordered part. When I asked which part, they told me it was a radiator cap which is in no way related to the repairs I requested for my valve cover gasket. Now, no one will return my calls or answer the phone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, OR YOU’LL BE SORRY!!! ### 1/5 — No Call No Show *2025-01-19, version 7.1.0* I have tried this app twice, and the first time the tech cancelled, and the second time they no-call-no-showed. I will not be wasting my time again. ### 1/5 — They just took my money and never came out to see my car *2024-11-12* So I needed my brakes caliper replaced so I booked an appointment on 11/7 through their website. The appointment was for 11/8 between 11:12AM and 1:12PM. My mechanic Rusty had messaged me to see what was wrong with my truck exactly, and I had told him that my friend had replaced my brakes and that friend noticed the caliper was cracked. after I told him this, he seemed to have no more questions. The next day I’m waiting and waiting for the mechanic to show up, however, no one even bothered to show. I don’t get any type of response until 5:20 PM. At that time I had gotten what seemed like an automated message that my appointment had been canceled. Although I wasn’t the one to cancel, they still had the gall to charge me the $150 cancellation fee. The next few days was me trying to get that refunded, but no one was helpful at all. One guy said something about the terms and conditions and that there’s nothing they could do about it. Another said I would get a call within 48 hours to sort it out, yet I am still waiting for that call. Leaving this review is my last resort so I may file a small claims with my bank and contact the Better Business Bureau. Please do not use this Mechanic service. They are crooks. ### 1/5 — Horrible update *2024-10-11, version 7.1.0* This new update is the worst thing to ever happen to the app ### 1/5 — Not reliable, fake customer service *2024-09-22, version 7.1.0* I chose this company because they are able to service your cars on the weekends when a lot of car service shops are closed on the weekends. The first time the mechanic came, he diagnosed the car and said we would be receiving an estimate via email in the next few days. The next few days never came and I had to call in 2 weeks later and miraculously received the estimate on the call. I then scheduled to have a mechanic come out to get the car fixed after approving the estimate. On the day of the service, the mechanic called me to say a personal emergency came up (understandable) and that we would need to be rescheduled. So we rescheduled. The day of the new appointment, the mechanic called me to say his tires blew out and that he would have to see me later in the day - not the scheduled window. Again, understandable but I had to work around the window that I didn’t plan for. The mechanic finally came and did the service. All was well until a few days later the ‘check engine’ light came back on. I called into the company and told them the story and that we need to have someone come out again to see why the light came back on. It was then I got treated differently by customer service. Being passively aggressively asked to “explain what warranty means” and was told that if it was something else, I would need to pay the diagnostic fee. After acknowledging the terms and agreement which felt like I was signing over my first born kid, I was scheduled to have a mechanic come. The day of the service, I didn’t receive a call or text letting me know the mechanic was on the way. I called in to tell customer service this. They said they would call me back once they get in touch with a mechanic. An hour went by and no updates. So I called back in and lo and behold a rep said they couldn’t get in touch with a mechanic and that we would need to reschedule - LOL. When I told them I’ve invested around HUNDREDS (diagnostic fee, the car part, labor fee, etc) but my car is nowhere fixed and that I would like a refund, the rep became short with me and said a manager would get back to me “within 24-48” hrs and the rest of the phone call was him giving me fake sympathy template responses. At this point, it has been a month and I am resorting having to take a day off work and bring my car into a more reliable local shop due to this company’s unreliability. It’s a great business model for people who only have time off during the weekends to get their car serviced but the customer service and unreliable mechanics will be the downfall of this company. ### 1/5 — No Show *2024-09-03, version 6.0.0* Mechanic never showed. I recently used this service for the 2nd time and felt compelled to leave a review. New to NV, and without resources I took a chance on this particular app I'm sorry satisfied with both services and professionalism. My particular favorite is Mr Rich with over 20 years of experience under his belt. Mr. Rich had a vast knowledge of the interworking of most vehicles and his calm demeanor makes Mr. Rich easy to work with and very trustworthy. I would recommend this service, at least in Las Vegas! ### 5/5 — Worst circumstances BEST Service *2024-04-10* I had my original appointment and it was completed quick and easy. Unfortunately the alternator was bad. I reached out to the mechanic directly as it was within 3 hours of service and he came back same day and uploaded everything necessary for the warranty claim. I got a call the next morning and they scheduled me for the next day with the same thing exceptional mechanic and he was done in less than an hour. ### 5/5 — Your Mechanic app *2024-04-06* I really like this app and I have talked to several people about information and what to expect and I got really good feedback. However, there was one person that was really rude to me and when I called back again and spoke to another gentleman, he corrected the behavior from the other person that I talk to. one bad apple does not change my mind about this company.
