I tried to use the survey for the app in the dorms section, but once I reched the submit button, the app took me back to the address search function (see above). On the iPad, the orientation for the app does not change to landscape, but the keyboard remains in landscape only. Btw., I downloaded the app after receiving an robo-call from Ed Mangano's office re. the upcoming storm. The message specifically mentioned the app as a way to stay connected...NOT:( ### 1/5 — Useless for reporting potholes *2015-07-19, version 1.5.7* Please fix the address search. You have known about the problem for months! ### 1/5 — Totally useless *2015-05-22, version 1.5.7* Can't submit a service request since the address search doesn't work. So you can't report a downed tree, abandoned vehicle, pothole, etc. This was touted on the news as the greatest benefit of the app and it doesn't work. Total waste of time. Typical of Nassau. Your taxes hard at work. Update: Since the app doesn't work, I submitted a service request via Mangano's website. They actually called me to tell me they could not respond to a service request unless I used the app, which of course, doesn't work. Catch 22! They obviously don't want to respond to any service request! This will not go well on Election Day. ### 1/5 — A terrible app *2015-04-14, version 1.5.7* If you live in Nassau County, this app will be exactly what you've come to expect. Your (highest in the nation) tax dollars down the toilet. The politicians said to use this app to report potholes. But does the "report potholes" function allow you to actually report potholes? Of course not. The address search is broken, so reporting potholes is impossible. Only possible explanation for the 5-star reviews is that Nassau County employees were asked to post them. Don't be fooled. This app will just give you another reason to hate your county government. ### 1/5 — So you have an app and it doesn't work... *2015-04-13, version 1.5.7* It's impossible to submit a service request because the address search feature doesn't work and it's impossible to submit feedback via the app because it asks for an address and you must search for a valid address but nothing entered is valid so this step doesn't work and you cannot submit. If there are no new requests coming in, shouldn't somebody in the department figured something is probably wrong with the app and investigate? Seems like it is a glorified directory, which, in and of itself is very useful.
