Nach welcher Logik entschieden wird, welche Sender zur Verfügung stehen oder welche nicht, ist mir als Nutzer natürlich unklar, aber ärgerlich ist es dennoch. Leider werden mit dem Assistenten nicht immer alle passenden Filme aufgenommen, etwa bei Hörfilmen. Und der Speicher scheint mir zu klein. Und ich habe immer noch das Gefühl, das die Hörfilme immer noch nur mit der Tonspur ohne Filmspur aufgenommen werden. Ein Problem, das vor längerem schon mal angemerkt wurde. Und in der App fehlt eine Möglichkeit Aufnahmen downloaden oder etwa in einen Onlinespeicher wie Dropbox zu sichern. ### 2/5 — Great idea, bad technology *2025-11-08* The idea is great bit this company should investment more into their technology. Werbung kann übersprungen werden. Bei der Auswahl überzeugt vor allem die detaillierte Inhaltsangabe. Kinderleichte Bedienung. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Warum ist beim iPad die Steuerung nicht groß und mittig auf dem Bildschirm, sonder ganz klein in der Ecke und das auch noch links unten? ### 3/5 — Eigentlich eine super Sache *2024-02-26* In letzter Zeit aber ein paar kleinere, nervige Bugs. Zum Beispiel hab ich eine Aufnahme nach einem bestimmten Thema programmiert, Kochsendungen auf einem bestimmten Sender. Eigentlich sollten alle Aufnahmen in den Langzeitspeicher. Was sonst problemlos klappt, wenn ich z. B. eine bestimmte Serie aufnehme, klappt hier nicht. Dann kommen immer wieder Push-Benachrichtigungen, obwohl ich in der App eingestellt habe, dass ich nur E-Mails bekommen möchte. Ich weiß nicht woran das liegt, war früher nicht so, ist jetzt seit ein paar Tagen. ### 2/5 — Download on phone is not working *2023-12-21* I tried many times but the down load functionality is out. The Mark where the video starts is also not functioning anymore. Always have to start the video all the way from the beginning. Software maintenance is sparsely. ### 3/5 — Content is great - when it works *2023-07-09* The app is great - when it works. At least once a quarter something goes wrong. Either you can’t access your recordings, or new shows don’t download or something else prevents you from watching YouTV. In the past tech support has been responsive and usually fixes the problem by the next day. More recently reported problems go unanswered and app problems persist for 3 days or more. And no compensation of any kind (such as extending your subscription) is offered even when you don’t have service for days. ### 4/5 — Super, nur ein kleiner Fehler *2023-02-10* Die App funktioniert perfekt. Mir ist nur aufgefallen, dass nicht korrekt angezeigt wird, welche Staffel/Folge das ist. Beispiel: Ich habe von einer Serie Staffel 2, Folge 5, und wenn ich den Sender wechsle und dann wird ein Film angezeigt, ist das plötzlich Staffel 2, Folge 6. Hä? Seit wann haben Spielfilme Staffeln und Folgen? ### 4/5 — An sich gute App *2022-08-11* Also you tv hält was es verspricht. Bin sehr zufrieden allerdings würde ich mir wünschen, dass wenn man eine Sendung herunterlädt, dass dann auch die Werbung mit rausgeschnitten wird und die Abstände zwischen vorheriger Sendung und aufgenommener Sendung weniger wird. Man hat manchmal Lieder noch 5 Minuten von der alten Sendung mit in der Aufnahme. Aber sonst wie gesagt top. ### 5/5 — Einfach geil!! *2022-03-18* Nicht jede Serie ist in Mediatheken drin, diese App ermöglicht einem die Lieblingsserien aufzunehmen und sie sich später anzuschauen. Man kann einfach die Werbung überspringen! Die Probewoche ermöglicht einem ein tollen Einblick und selbst die Free-Variante ist für eine einzelne Serie dennoch sinnvoll. Möchte die App nichtmehr missen! ### 3/5 — Why does appletv login with apple account? *2022-03-08, version 3.6.0* My partner wanted to use this - so I created a free account to check it out. After we decided it was fit for purpose - she signed up as a paid account. But our appletv keeps insisting on going back to the free account - can you please fix this bug? The service is good - but the app seems really buggy if login credentials are an issue I find it hard to trust! ### 5/5 — Brilliant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *2022-01-24, version 3.5.2* It feels like “home away from home” when I tune into my favourite German shows. It’s wonderful to be able to see your favourite German actors in films as well as your favourite music programs and everything in between 🥰 This APP went a long way in somehow alleviating the homesickness I felt ever since I arrived in Australia 🇦🇺. I am sure it’s due to the simple fact that I hear my “Muttersprache” again 🥰 Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ### 5/5 — Great language teacher *2021-09-12* This app has been amazing for our family. It is helping my young daughter learn German (I am teaching her too but having shows that she loves helps increase and solidify her vocabulary). We adults love it for our cooking shows and cultural shows. Even my 80+ mother uses it. I download shows that I think she might like and she’s figured out how to navigate. This app has been a huge +++++ in our family. We rarely watch anything auf Englisch anymore!!! ### 4/5 — Works! *2021-07-08* This is great! I see the option for it but I can’t turn it on ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam für iOS Nutzer trotz aktueller Updates *2026-05-06* Seit etwa einem Jahr SCAM für  Nutzer - läuft nicht korrekt und wird seit Herbst 2025 nicht behoben - jetzt gab es Updates für iOS & tvOS - allerdings wurde keines der Probleme behoben. Die Kommunikation mit der Firma läuft schleppend - telefonisch nicht zu erreichen-per Mail wird man nur vertröstet und hingehalten. Absolut nicht mehr zu empfehlen, egal was man hier seitens des Unternehmens schreibt. Jetzt gab es tatsächlich nach Ewigkeiten zwei Updates - beide haben das Problem in kleinster Weise behoben - die App ist noch immer Mist und in keinster Weise wie in der App beschrieben mit TV kompatibel - auch wenn Netlantic das behauptet! Es ist und bleibt BETRUG AM KUNDEN! Neue Anläufe, das Problem zu beheben wurden und werden nicht mehr unternommen - der Kunde bleibt ohne Nutzen der App auf seinen Kosten sitzen. Und der Hinweis auf den Support bringt gar nichts - außer dass man belogen und hingehalten wird. **Developer response:** Update: Lieber Mark, wir sind froh das Problem tatsächlich gefunden zu haben. Es handelt sich überraschenderweise um einen iOS 26/26.1 Bug. Dieser bezieht sich auf das Decoding of HD Inhalten mit 50fps - wie bei YouTV. Wir stehen mit Apple bereits in Verbindung, damit Apple das Problem möglichst rasch beheben kann. Trotzdem: wir haben einen Weg gefunden, das Problem zu umgehen. Die Videorekorder unserer Nutzer wurden nach intensiver Arbeit in den letzten Tagen aktualisiert. Somit sollte mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit auch dein Videorekorder aktualisiert worden sein. Einfach testen und Feedback unter support@youtv.de berichten. Hinweis: es betrifft alle HD Aufnahmen die ab 21. November ~14:00 Uhr gemacht wurden. Lieber Mark, gerne versuchen wir zu helfen. Was verstehst du denn unter „stürzt ab“ bei der Wiedergabe deiner Aufnahmen? Schließt sich die YouTV App? Das sollte natürlich nicht passieren. Hattest du uns diesbezüglich auch schon unter support@youtv.de kontaktiert? Wir bedauern deine Enttäuschung, aber können dir versichern, dass Großes in der Mache ist. Wir haben uns entschieden mehr Ressourcen in die ganz neue App zu investieren, bevor wir die alte stark erweitern. Trotzdem sollte die alte App reibungslos funktionieren. Customer service said they know about it and they are working on it. Let‘s see - i‘m a paying user and can‘t use this app since 1 week for my TV. No compensation offered, no timeline.
