### 5/5 — Stellar Platform to Learn Mandarin

I have used Yoyo Chinese for just shy of a decade (2017). They have continued to support their platform and it has grown and improved over the years with no sign of slowing down.

Yangyang is a wonderful teacher who always has a smile on her face and is so good at relating various foreign concepts to an English speaker trying to learn. The lessons are also entertaining and succinct so you don’t ever feel overwhelmed. I enjoy having practice and quizzes at the end of each lesson. This is where Yoyo Chinese really stands apart from basic YouTube videos. I like getting the immediate feedback on how I’m doing and how much I’m retaining. If you ever get tired of just doing video lessons, there are several other resources to learn from like quizzes, flash cards, pinyin pronunciation chart, etc. 

Finally, their customer service is wonderful. I had previously spent hundreds of dollars on various courses through their website back when you used to purchase them separately. I recently inquired about getting a discount for the lifetime learner package since I have already spent so much. They went above and beyond in helping me out and making sure I was 1000% satisfied. They have made a loyal customer for life.

Recently started learning Chinese and bought the lifetime access. Both the app and website easily allow the lessons to sync and resume seamlessly for on the go or on the computer. 

Highly recommended and no ads or bs in the app or website. 

Excellent content and quality of the material for learning compared to other apps. I hope to be proficient in a year and keep up my studies.

Yoyo Chinese is an outstanding Mandarin learning platform. Yangyang and her team deliver world-class instruction. The depth and quality of the content are excellent.

However, one critical feature is missing that prevents the app and website from feeling truly modern: search.

As a serious learner, I often want to quickly revisit a lesson or concept I studied earlier. Without a search function, finding specific content takes far, far longer than it should and disrupts learning flow.

Simply adding a search 🔍 feature across lessons would be a game-changer. It would dramatically improve usability, efficiency, and overall learning speed.

This is the one feature holding Yoyo Chinese back from a full five-star experience. 
Please prioritize it. Your users will learn faster, and the platform will finally match the quality of its teaching.

Used this since I was in 12th grade back in 2014, 11 years later, now there is an APP, never thought I would see that come to fruition. This is by far the best Chinese learning software in my opinion. Haven’t came across better in all my years of learning the language.
