It’s the app I immediately download to every new phone. It works perfectly every time, 100% of the time. Quiet, unassuming, feature-filled but simple yet capable (example: tell Siri to send a boomerang - works. I use apps from huge companies that can’t even do such a simple task). Seriously, download this now. The developer should get a presidential medal or something. Can you tell that I love love love this app? ### 5/5 — Exactly what I need *2024-04-22, version 2.1.4* This is a simple tool that does an important thing. Whenever you find some thing that is interesting and you want to send it to yourself you can quickly and easily send it to your primary email address with this app. You can either do it by opening the app and pasting the information in or you can do it from a ‘send to’ widget. You can configure two email addresses. However… *2023-10-22, version 2.1.4* This app is missing a function I assumed it had. Thus, my measly three stars are my own fault. I assumed. I’d like to be able to specify the date and time the email appears in my inbox. That would be a great way to remind myself of a task I need to get done. Instead, it sends an email from me —to me—the moment it’s sent. I’m sure there’s a purpose for that, though I don’t know what it might be. The way I’ve been using it is to “snooze” the email I receive so it pops up as a reminder when I need it to. It would be terrific to circumvent that extra step. Ça met un message d erreur ... ### 3/5 — Fonctionne parfaitement bien, mais quid de la confidentialité ? *2020-08-15, version 2.1.3* Comme beaucoup, je cherchais depuis longtemps une alternative à Mail2Self et ai donc testé Boomerang. Rien à dire concernant la configuration ou le fonctionnement : tout se passe comme attendu et très bien. Je me pose en revanche une question au sujet de la confidentialité : en effet, contrairement à Mail2Self, les emails sont routés depuis les serveurs choisis par le développeur de l’application et non pas « auto-expédiés » en utilisant notre propre adresse email. J’ai d’ailleurs parallèlement testé la création d’un raccourci (avec l’application Apple du même nom) et ai obtenu - me semble-t-il - un fonctionnement similaire après une configuration qui m’a pris deux minutes (et, je précise, sans aucune connaissance préalable de cette appli). Et dans ce cas, l’email est bien expédié par mon adresse mail configurée par défaut. Can’t recommend enough. I used to write it down in a notebook but this is so much faster. Paid for the 2nd email and could not be happier! The Yoyo rebrand threw me for a loop but this is one of the best apps I’ve ever had!! For me, this is it. A lightning-fast, no-frills app that I can open and capture any idea to my email instantly. I love that it works with the share menu so that I can capture links to anything online with one click. It loads fast which is really important. The design has no distractions. And, now the keyboard supports dark mode so even in the dead of night I can capture ideas without burning my retinas.
