Ive had a tough ride in my life, my upbringing wasn’t the best, I didn’t succeed in school, I became addicted to drugs at a young age, been down so many bad roads in just a short amount of time to end up pregnant at 19, homeless and with nothing. My daughter saved mine and my husbands life at age 20. We have strived to do better ever since. I decided I wanted to get a degree in Social Work and started my career at Yuba College. I started out and was so nervous! I didn’t think that it’d be possible to accomplish so much! I thought I was going to fail just like I did all of those previous years. I was so wrong! Every time I failed, my teachers reached out because they saw how hard I tried in class and wanted me to be able to show it in my work! They pushed me farther and farther to help me achieve my dreams!
