### 3/5 — Works fine, could use polish

*2026-05-16, version 1.13.0*

Please update this app to reflect automatic dark icons in iOS 26. As it stands, this app sticks out like a sore thumb for its insistence on an inflexible branded app icon.

### 3/5 — useless on iPad 10th generation

*2026-05-01, version 1.13.0*

I plug in my YubiKey C Bio and it only flashes 3 times then quits. I can’t even access the configuration of the key. Y is this? My iPad is now my only device

### 2/5 — yubico auth is not recognizing my ipad

*2026-04-29, version 1.13.0*

plugged in my yubi key to the ipad port and saw that yubico auth still shows “Insert your YubiKey”however it does work on my pc

### 3/5 — Great idea, one big oversight

*2026-01-19, version 1.12.3*

Not being able to set multiple yubikeys to the same account just seems bizarre, considering having a backup key is almost essential for a good cyber security setup. Creating 2 versions of each account is a clunky workaround and could cause issues if you don’t know which version to use when requested.

### 4/5 — Best authenticator app, not quite perfect.

*2026-01-09, version 1.12.3*

I just got into two keys and i love the ingenuity employed with this.
I would like to see more management capability with OTP slots and the like similar to the desktop players, as well as being able to view TOTP secrets for backup.

### 4/5 — iOS and On Screen Keyboards

*2026-01-07, version 1.12.3*

For iOS only-If you have password protected keys or pin protected OTPs the app will prompt for either to be entered. The issue being the key is recognized as an external keyboard which disables the on screen keyboard. The OSK is needed to unlock the key. There are two ways around this. 1. Copy your password or pin before you plug in then paste into the password prompt or 2. Save your password and pin to your password manager.

Not sure if it’s possible to prevent disabling the OSK so the password can be filled prior to the key being recognized as an external input device but it would be great.

Thanks!

### 4/5 — I really like a Hardware over SMS or App based 2FA

*2025-12-17, version 1.12.3*

However, I feel the way the App handles keys with a PIN code set is clunky. You scan, then I asks for the PIN, then you have to scan again. I would be nice if I could retain the connection while you put the PIN in. Somthing like that.

### 2/5 — Lastest update!

*2025-11-22, version 1.12.3*

I have purchased 4 of these keys now it asking for a password to prevent unauthorized access this yubikey is protected with a password I never put in.
Now all 4 of my keys are not working unless I put in this dam password . SMH . Look for something else unless you want to pull out all your hair from being frustrated.

### 2/5 — I am struggling to comprehend why not

*2025-09-26, version 1.12.3*

Thank you for your response but I don’t get my details wrong because I keep everything in a secure vault so I don’t get any of my details wrong and I am struggling to comprehend why this keeps on happening and it also makes it very difficult when trying to update your details this app losses all the details you just added as soon as you go out of the app and you have to start over again

### 4/5 — Just works

*2025-08-31, version 1.12.3*

I use this quite basically and am not a power user, but it just works to generate OTPs from my NFC YubiKey.

### 1/5 — Unable to pull down to activate NFC for

*2025-08-18, version 1.12.3*

Not allowing to pull down to activate NFC for auth code and not recognizing the yubikey nfc tap.

### 3/5 — The app seems problematic.

*2025-07-31, version 1.12.2*

When I inserted the key, Face ID continuously scanned my face, and I couldn’t figure out what was happening. As mentioned earlier, I’ve also experienced this issue.

### 3/5 — FaceID bug

*2025-07-17*

This app worked perfectly for the year I’ve used it until recently. As of now, each time I plug in my YubiKey 5 NFC and FaceID decrypts the data, the FaceID animation pops up continuously. The timer for each token also freezes once that happens. This is made all the more inconvenient when adding new 2FA accounts because the camera doesn’t work since the app keeps scanning my face.

Hopefully, Yubico reads this review and addresses the issue ASAP! If it helps, I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! We are currently working on a resolution to this problem.

### 2/5 — Update broke the app

*2025-07-17, version 1.12.2*

After updating to latest version it keeps trying to log me in after in already logged me in. I see all my codes for my accounts but it just keeps trying to log me in over and over again.

### 2/5 — Can’t Scan QR Code

*2025-07-11, version 1.12.2*

I have allowed the app permission to use my camera and it still doesn’t show the camera when I go to scan a QR code. It’ll only let me manually enter in a code, which is a pain. Please fix. iPhone 16 Pro. iOS 18.5. App v1.12.2 (build 191)

### 1/5 — NFC not working

*2026-03-21, version 1.13.0*

I’m not able to detect key and setup in my iphone. Earlier I ordered 5C version it wasn’t detected then ordered NFC one and wasted my time and efforts. Fix the app instead of wasting money on website UI design.

### 1/5 — Accessibility

*2026-02-15, version 1.12.3*

It’s a shame that companies like you do not think about putting in Accessibility for those who are blind or visually impaired such as my cell. I would like to secure my accounts as well! But because the lack of Accessibility that’s impossible.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone either

*2026-02-05, version 1.12.3*

Wow. Just wow. I couldn’t get this to work on my android. So I bought an iPhone 17 (for this among other reasons). And it won’t work on IOS either! “The requested functionality is missing or disabled on this yubikey”. What the hell, man! Really?!

### 1/5 — IOS Incompatibility for USB-C Bio

*2026-02-04, version 1.12.3*

I’ve never been able to get my BIO key to be read by this app on my iPad Pro or my iPhone 16 Pro Max. My key itself does work when I attempt to use it on both devices, I just can’t manage it on them.

### 1/5 — Waste of time.

*2026-01-05, version 1.12.3*

Yubikey 5 NFC. What’s disappointing is that it only shows you time-based authentication codes.
Why can’t the key be used for actual authentication? Ridiculous. Why can’t I just press the key and away we go? Also where is the Yubikey Manager app for iPhone? Come on now.

### 1/5 — BS

*2025-12-14, version 1.12.3*

Opened app it says scan and shows a phone rocking back and forth but no instructions. It does nothing and I can’t tell if it wants me to scan via NFC or take a picture of the QR code. Neither work. Sending this back.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on apples.

*2025-10-22, version 1.12.3*

Doesn’t work on Apple iPhone 16 pro max. Model 5.2…should have NFC but it’s not recognising it whatsoever. Myself and a fellow friend who have the same yubikey device and a Samsung s9+ with NFC enabled also and NEITHER of us are able to get our yubikeys to NFC scan with the app. Pls reply devs

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-10-18, version 1.12.3*

Doesn’t recognize either of
my USB keys when I plug them in. I know they work though as I use them to authenticate to other apps.

### 1/5 — Never works

*2025-10-01, version 1.12.3*

Never works on iPhone. What a waste of money.

### 1/5 — USB-C Bio does not work on USB-C iPhone?

*2025-09-27, version 1.12.3*

Bought one in hopes to use the USB-C bio on all my USB-C devices. Well… it shows it’s receiving power but the app won’t recognize it?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-02-20, version 1.12.3*

Easy to use with my yubikey 5ci

### 5/5 — I thought this add account would at least have a QR code

*2025-12-17, version 1.12.3*

I have no clue what is going on with one of these keys I’d just factory reset it and now it’s not even asking me to enter any information at all except for the oath and the other isn’t asking me for anything at all and even after I’d factory reset it still was like this password hadn’t been reset at all and I even made sure I’d tried resetting it multiple times just to make sure it was reset And I am still very disappointed that a top of the line phone can’t factor reset these keys and I am struggling to even comprehend this with top of the line technologies I actually thought this would of had a QR code when having to add an account instead of having to add the information manually and I am discovering that so many of these different accounts don’t even have anything to add security keys and don’t even give you a option for QR codes at all and even security services and I find this very strange considering that they are cyber security services and they won’t even add this security feature and I am finding this very strange as well

### 5/5 — I thought this add account would at least have a QR code

*2025-12-14, version 1.12.3*

And I am still very disappointed that a top of the line phone can’t factor reset these keys and I am struggling to even comprehend this with top of the line technologies I actually thought this would of had a QR code when having to add an account instead of having to add the information manually and I am discovering that so many of these different accounts don’t even have anything to add security keys and don’t even give you a option for QR codes at all and even security services and I find this very strange considering that they are cyber security services and they won’t even add this security feature and I am finding this very strange as well

### 5/5 — Yubikey 5ci

*2025-12-05, version 1.12.3*

Touch the side recently stopped being recognized in iOS 26.1

### 5/5 — Confusing at first, but simple to use

*2025-07-26, version 1.12.2*

The manual online is too confusing. Thankfully, Yubico uploaded a YouTube video to show how to use the app, which cleared things up.

### 5/5 — LOVE this IRL MFA

*2025-07-03, version 1.12.1*

Adds another layer of protection. Wish more Banks would offer it. Love your work! Thank you.

### 5/5 — It does

*2025-07-02, version 1.12.1*

only what it is meant to

### 5/5 — This is just ridiculous every single time you try and say update your password

*2025-02-13, version 1.10*

Every single time you try and update your password and back out of the app you lose the information you have already added while you’re trying to copy something from a secure vault and it doesn’t even store the information that you have already created like adding your original password and then trying to copy something from from your password vault it deletes everything that you’ve created and it doesn’t even give you the other option to show exactly what you have typed into the password so you can copy it and know what you have typed

### 5/5 — I need your help with these security key

*2025-02-13, version 1.10*

Can I use a security key that is being used with somebody else account because I’ve only got one security key and I can’t afford to get a second one and I need your advice ASAP because of security concerns

### 5/5 — I am really starting to get very ticked off with this pass key

*2024-12-16*

I’m not very happy because I have documented screenshots of my original order and all of my correct information and address and area code was correct and the delivery tried to blame it on your company and I think that you have both gotten it wrong and I don’t even feel safe using this second yubico key because I am very concerned that it’s been cloned or held up to these people who it was delivered to and I have emailed your support amount this matter And it won’t even let me add my security key back There is as far as I am concerned something very suspicious going on with this entire thing I have spent more time repeatedly having to factory reset this security key and it making out like I’ve gotten my password wrong I never get my personal information wrong because it is all locked in a security secure vault and I am starting to believe that even this newest iOS application that has the one word that I don’t trust hack was created so tech companies and whoever else can gain access to everybody’s personal information any time they want without our permission or consent
