Yesterday (4/7/18) Political Cowboys listed YUDU as an alternative social media group. I looked into it and... WOW! I’m so glad I got the app and signed up. What an amazing group of people. I’ve suggested this to my friends and family on FB and will begin phasing off so I can eventually delete my FB app off of my phone (where I’ve given permission to FB to have access to my personal content). If you have been wishing for a different venue; grab your core group, sign up, friend & follow, and fall in love with the feeling of purging your social media life... the water is great... take the plunge! Oh! And don’t forget to look me up when you sign up... Lots of good people, stories and pics! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Cancelled years ago, still charged every year! *2024-06-20* Cancelled this service many years ago, and yet they still continue to charge me every year! The service is not reliable, and there were no safety precautions such as blocking unwanted people. This led to a safety issue for myself and my daughters. The original developers kept promising to fix it, "it's coming, it's coming" but it didn't work. ### 1/5 — Canceled subscription in 2022 and they keep charging me *2024-01-28* I canceled my subscription in 2022. They have charged my credit card every month since, they don’t respond to communication. It was a good app until they turned into criminals. ### 1/5 — No longer legit! *2023-10-29* I canceled my subscription back in July of 2023; however, they have continued to charge my card for a monthly subscription. I attempted to contact Brian Senn, the platform owner, via YUDU message as well as email. Email is defunct and no reply via message. This social media platform has failed, but they continue to take $$ and offer nothing. Recommend you all steer clear of this going forward. ### 1/5 — Trust *2022-06-10* Social media that will steal your money even if can’t get on the site and don’t want to use it. And best thing, you have no way to get in touch with them to get them to stop!!!!!! **Developer response:** I am very sorry that your experience was not a positive one. Moving to an entirely new platform is very difficult and we did experience several bugs and issues along the way. We have now fixed the known bugs as well as made many improvements to the functionality. One of the great things about our new platform is that you are and will always be our customer. We wish we could provide a free app forever, but the only way to do that is to have Advertisers. Having advertisers leads to feed manipulation and user data being sold and those are the tings we are trying to stay away from. We want you to be the customer, not the advertisers. Requiring a very small fee is the only way to achieve this. ### 1/5 — Won’t let me create account *2020-09-01, version 1.2.12* I tried creating an account yesterday. It said, “Oops! Something went wrong.” I tried changing the username I picked, then it said that email was taken already. So did it work the first time? I tried logging in, it said to verify my email. I haven’t received any emails. I tried using the contact form on the website to explain the situation. After filling that out and trying to submit it, it says authentication failed or something like that. Hilarious, the contact form on their website won’t even submit. Seems awfully sketchy to me.
