### 4/5 — Great app, could use clean up

*2026-08-24, version 5.3*

I use Yuka and absolutely recommend to friends. I would like to see this app cleaned up a bit. Users submitted pictures of items and when you search up a product you can sometimes see different ratings for the exact same product. With conflicting rating it makes it difficult to make an informed choice. The creaters should sweep the app and correct these conflicting ratings for the same product

### 3/5 — Idk yet

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

“We do not review products with high protein”

### 4/5 — Pretty good reviews

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

They give some good reviews but they say stuff that is supposed to have sodium like a pickle should not have sodium!

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

I suffer from severe allergies and sensitivities and my holistic doctor recommended this app. It changed everything for me! Of course there are some improvements needed, but for the most part it works very well!

Highly recommend!

### 4/5 — App Issues

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

Nice app but there are navigation issues. When you scan an item there is no way to get back to the Home Screen.

### 2/5 — Weird.

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

I liked this app but it won’t let me open the app anymore or delete it

### 5/5 — N/A

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

Can’t adjust camera for close up

### 5/5 — Really appreciate this app….

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

My husband and I are both in our 70’s plus my husband is disabled. Being our age means we want the best foods and products that affect our health. The Yuka app has helped tremendously in helping us to make better and healthier choices. It’s handy on our phones, to be able to scan products quickly and easily and then to see exactly why the product gets the rating it does. We dislike putting chemicals in and on our bodies that can ultimately bring significant harm or aging. That’s why we really enjoy the Yuka app and recommend it to everyone.

### 5/5 — Love how detailed and autistic this app is

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

I love how in depth and straightforward the app is in all of the detail for the products. Scans quick and is perfect for in-person shopping. Nothing about Yuka is slow or painful to use. The UI design is also great. I also like the app Buy’r and I use both because each one is useful in its detail orientation and unique but insightful design. Truly designed by humans with humans in mind, which feels rare these days shockingly.

### 5/5 — great, highly recommend

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

i believe that this app is pretty accurate, i don’t use it a lot but for anyone who needs to know stuff about their food intake and healthiness, i would recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Amazing App and Team!

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

My husband and I LOVE this app 🙌🏻 We went through all of the products we typically buy and used this app to find better alternatives for our family - it is awesome (and so informative)!! We haven’t found a single product that wasn’t already on this app with extensive research and details to make an informed decision!

I recommend Yuka to all parents who want to make cleaner choices for their families without having to invest in HOURS of research!

Keep doing what you’re doing, Yuka Team!!

### 5/5 — I wouldn’t get through a day without this app

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

I recommend this app to absolutely everyone, it has been a lifesaver for me in the minefield of additives that are allowed to be put in our cosmetics and food, I managed to drop 1 stone, clear up my eczema and sleep better all down to this app helping me make the right choices of what I eat and use on my skin

### 2/5 — Pas fiable pour cosmétique

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

Dommage que ce n’est pas fiable pour le cosmétique…

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

I have been using this app for the past three years, and it has helped me choose healthier beauty products and food, and avoid bad additives and chemicals. With so many terrible stuff allowed to be sold to us, I love having an app tell me simply what sketchy stuff is in it and why I should avoid it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Recommended lotion w/cancer chems

*2026-08-25, version 5.3*

This app, so far, has done 2 things which I disagree with and have deleted the app. 1) it recommended Aveeno oat lotion as a “replacement” for a “Poor” rated lotion I had scanned. Aveeno is known to have cancer causing chems in it. So…..? Huh? 2. Saturated fats (dairy, meats, fish, etc) are rated a “Poor”. Which they are not. Just seed oils. So I don’t trust them. By by corporate punks!

### 1/5 — More filters needed

*2026-08-24, version 5.3*

I feel like this app has great potential but a lot of things that says are bad for you are listed as just a common allergen. If there is a way to add filters to help find or search for specific ingredients and all their other names, I feel like I would use this more because there are some products that are amazing and worked very well and are not bad for you, but because there are some common allergens it’s rated slowly on this app

### 1/5 — Update not working

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

After last updates I am not able to use the app

### 1/5 — Price hikes, no cruelty free qualification

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

This went up in price from $8 to $10 to now $15 in about two years (2024-2026) while the catalog was still heavily expanding and lacked tons of basic brands and products. Of huge significance to some of us, Yuka still has NO cruelty-free marker or notation for animal testing. Its recommendations for “cleaner” subs are often nothing like the original search and yield literally no benefit to the discerning consumer who already knows better. Moreover, there are misrepresentations about the better-scoring cosmetic products since the statistics purport to assess safety through ingredient examination of previously tested ingredients that are toxic, banned, or whatnot without ever disclosing the exact amounts of the ingredients. This is a problem because some of the j ingredients are not bad at the percentages they are in the formulas and only pose mild threats when they aggregate on your skin, for example. This is coming from someone who’s been “natural” for almost 2 decades now. This is totally overpriced for what it is now. If you must, download it for a little bit and figure out what works for you. But don’t rely fully on their representations without doing your own diligence. It’s lowkey fear-mongering.

### 1/5 — Offline mode

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

It takes forever to load then the app immediately crashes restarting the app brings instant crash many restarts are needed before the app opens again now the offline mode begins its laborious loading only to end in a crash not worth the $15

### 1/5 — Spreading misinformation causing people to fear completely fine foods.

*2026-08-21, version 5.3*

It literally links to studies that disprove their claims that some additives are 'high-risk'. They're using scientific studies to claim the exact opposite of what the studies say — 'possibly carcinogenic' additives link to studies that say outright that the substance has no link to cancer. I beg everybody to do their own research and learn what is actually high-risk and what isn't.

### 1/5 — Sadly a scam

*2026-08-19, version 5.3*

They will display reviews based on what company pays them the most. Please avoid this for personal health advice

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-08-18, version 5.3*

Untrustworthy app. It contradicts itself constantly. One thing will be “excellent” or “good” and when I go to rebuy items I recheck on the app and all of a sudden the same thing is “poor”. It’s happened several times. It is also saying that terrible ingredients are still “good”, ones that still cause cancer etc.

### 1/5 — Don’t trust this app not accurate and probably gets paid to change score and give false information

*2026-08-17, version 5.3*

This app is lying to you try count

### 1/5 — No high protein

*2026-08-14, version 5.3*

Yuma does not scan products that are high in protein. Come on now Yuka

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellente application et facile utilisation

*2026-08-26, version 5.3*

### 5/5 — near perfection

*2026-08-25, version 5.3*

just needs reviews on protein heavy products and i’m nitpicking

### 5/5 — Must have App

*2026-08-25, version 5.3*

Absolutely love this App. Shared to me by my daughter it guides me in healthy food and product choice . In order to live a healthier and better life .
I’m gobsmacked at the amount of chemicals and preservatives that taint our food . Down load the app to see what you don’t want in your food and products . Thanks Yuka for a great and useful App

### 5/5 — The very best

*2026-08-25, version 5.3*

What a game changer Yuka is! I love the simplicity & ease at how it has enabled me to eat healthier & how it’s an educational tool at the same time - it’s a no brainer & I am truly thankful it exists!!!

### 5/5 — Shopping made easy!

*2026-08-24, version 5.3*

I'm met a lady who had the app and she showed it to me because we got to talking about some lotion that I had in my purse. I used the app the other day at Costco. All I had to do was scan it , pretty easy and it showed me the rating. It helped me determine better products I can buy from my family. Thank you!!!

### 5/5 — Food and drink

*2026-08-23, version 5.3*

Yuka is helping me make better food and drink choices to better my health.

Four words: Good lifestyle highly recommended

### 5/5 — My brilliantly easy food guide!

*2026-08-22, version 5.3*

YUKA has been a fantastic food guide and SO easy to use.
If YUKA doesn’t recommend something when I scan the product, I don’t buy it and they often give a healthier alternative…
This app has changed my life, literally! for the better.
I’m so grateful!!
