I was informed about this app from a friend and was excited to try it but unfortunately none of the options work. I receive nothing but error messages.

**Developer response:** Sorry you hit that. A friend sent you to a broken build: the old server was down, so every action came back as an error. The app was rebuilt in 2026 and those calls work again. Please update to the latest version and try it once. If it is actually usable now, you can change this review.

I had this app a few years back and it was way better each update has made it worse. I can’t even search something now :/

**Developer response:** Search broke because the old backend died, not because we ripped the feature out. The current app has search again (type a dish or use the Explore chips). Update to the latest version and try a search. If that is back to being useful, you can edit this review.

This used to be my go to App then it started freezing and now it gives an Unauthorized message 
It’s lived it’s purpose and nobody is upgrading it

**Developer response:** You were right that nobody was keeping the old app alive. The unauthorized message was a dead server, and the freezes were part of that decay. It has been rebuilt since then: update to the latest version and it should open to working recipes again. If it feels like your old go-to, you can update this review.

On the home page it only has a button that says find recipe when you click it it says unauthorized error. There is no other options not even a setting button or a button to add ingredients. Nothing just a find recipe button  that doesn’t work

It has a “find a recipe” option but nothing popped up it just told me “unauthorized error” so it was a pointless download

**Developer response:** That unauthorized error on Find a Recipe was the old server failing. There was nothing you could have done. The app has been rebuilt, so a fresh update should load recipes instead of that message. Sorry the first download was a waste. If the new version works, you can edit this review.

What happened to the thermometer function?

**Developer response:** There is no thermometer in Yum today, and we are not shipping one. The app that is live now is recipes, search, and a cook mode with step timers. If you still have it installed, update and see whether that is useful on its own. If not, this review can stay.

EDIT: This is an edit to my original review I’m leaving the original review at the bottom so others will know what was wrong and that it’s been fixed. The app seems to be working great now. Thanks goes out to the developer for replying and letting everyone know what the issue was and that it is now works. I haven’t had time to really checked the app out a lot as of yet but seems to be working as advertised.

**Developer response:** That unauthorized error was real. The old recipe server died, so Find Recipe had nothing behind it and the rest of the app looked empty. Yum has been rebuilt: open the latest version and you should get a recipe feed, search, and settings. If it works for you now, you can edit this review.
