Previously this was something it did. I love the app but in the last week I have been unhappy. My Apple iPad brings up the history and shows a trash can to delete a particular record but when you press it another language shows in a black box on the screen. It doesn’t respond in any way till you exit the app. My operating system is up to date, and my iPad is less than a year old. Seems like we’re back to normal again now so I’ll update the review whilst leaving the old info still here. ——————————————— Been using this app for literally years, maybe 5 or 6 years at least without one issue. One of the newer updates now runs an invasive advert before I’m able to use the app. That advert is one of those “you have a virus” ad’s. Very poor choice from what has been a great app. ### 1/5 — Virus infected ADs on launch *2025-01-20, version 3.10* Just launched the app and upon launch it gave me a pop up about my device being infected and I have to “click here” to download antivirus. App constantly displays Chinese characters and error messages (exclamation mark + Chinese text) with no way to switch to English. Multi-User profile switching is broken. Tried all resets and reinstalls — still unusable. Skip this if you need English and reliable family sharing. I’ve changed it to 5 stars because I’m so impressed that a correction was made so quickly and I’m totally able to use the app again for the two user profiles in my household! It shows that you care about the user experience and even if ads are added again they will hopefully not block the functionality that YUNMAI had originally designed. I believe it’s because a lot of the ratings are old and a lot has changed over the years. I’ve been using their scale off and on for about 7 years. I enjoy looking at the historical data and trends. Starting in January, I started weighing myself daily. While the day to day weight/fat numbers aren’t something to focus on, the app provides the weekly, monthly, yearly, as well has historical weights. This alone is so motivating and part of my day to check the changes. The app includes the following measurements: Weight, Average Weight, Fat, Average Fat, Skeletal Muscle, Average Skeletal Muscle, BMI, Body Fat %, Skeletal Muscle Mass, Water %, Protein, Visceral Fat, Bone Mass, BMR, Biological Age, Fat Weight, Body Fat Mass Index (BFMI), and Fat Free Mass (FFM) These data points have given me everything I need to learn and progress on my weight loss journey. I love the scalar and app and wouldn’t be without it. For those of you that aren’t seeing the historical trends, reports, statistics, etc, spend some time in the app clicking around on different options/buttons. I read the low rating reviews, but I’ve never experienced any of those problems ever. I use the scale regularly (almost daily) but I only sync it once a week and it collects all the stored data from previous days as well. The scale and app both are fantastic products so I’m kind of surprised to see that a good product like this that I have loved for 5 years has only a 2* average rating.
