Across blk, chispa, and now yuzu everyone is having the same issues. Your location settings are out of control. Yuzu is the worst one yet, i have my radius set for 20 miles and yet right now at this moment im finding nothing but 200, 300, all the way up to 600 miles away. "You're 18 and want someone age appropriate? Oops! How about men in their 50s and 60s instead? Oh and also everyone is 400+ miles away despite setting it at <25 miles" I try to block as many of them as possible but it's relentless. I think part of the reason they switch the location to people 300 miles away is too keep people on the app swiping, plus it gives the false impression that you have lots of likes, when you probably have very few locally. That and the fact that this app has so limited profiles nearby, actually makes it worse then Chispa, but not as bad as BLK. ### 1/5 — NOT for Asians (read the edit!!) *2026-01-16, version 11.15.0* Yuzu has banned be out of retaliation after this post. It asks you to pay for boost after two swipes. It asks you to create an account on Tinder after 4-5 swipes. Then it asks you if you want to pay to reveal who sent a like. Literally a money grabbing app and not helpful. Recommendation: do not download this. It’s a scam app. They spent good amount of money into marketing towards Asians claiming that this is an Asian dating app. The app is 8/10 Hispanic or Black. There’s no filter to only look for people of my kind. This is NOT a safe place for Asians. After three swipes of non-Asian, it asks you if I want to pay to view my likes. Why would I do that when I know 80% of them are not what I’m looking for? (I paid for it once. Been able to match with many people around the country but the categorization could use improvement since both the dating and social sections bleed into one another and the filters don't seem to work all too well. You also the typical dating app paywalls but I’ve managed ok without paying The app, however, has WAY TOO MANY non-Asians (many with yellow fever). It’s to the point that there are more non-Asians than Asians. Here’s pros and cons. Pros: you get a lot of opportunities to swipe, you get to chat with a lot of people from all over, it’s mostly Asian, I like the profile layout. Cons: like many users have said, there’s far too many people who are not Asian who are on the app. This should be an Asian safe space, not a way for fetishists to shoot their shot with us. Additionally, the filters barely work. ### 5/5 — Serious Privacy Issues – BE CAREFUL *2025-04-26* Someone made a fake profile using one of my photos and several of my sister’s. They even posted her full real name and linked her real Instagram in the bio — all without permission. This is a clear violation of privacy, and the app did not remove the profile fast enough after it was reported. Yuzu needs better safeguards against impersonation and stronger response times for serious reports.
