There is zero run history - so understanding of my pump ran X times at any given point of time would be useful. The App Store app support link dumping you on the company homepage to just “figure it out from there” is just lazy and screams “we have zero interest in your feedback or issues getting to us with as little friction as possible”. There is zero in app support or feedback mechanisms. ### 3/5 — Battery install date keeps changing *2024-02-07* It displays the next days date every day and won’t let me change it. ### 1/5 — App does not work *2023-11-26, version 4.0.114* I have the same issue as a previous reviewer where you can’t even get logged into the app due to a loop error. I filled out my details, received the email to confirm and when I clicked the link in the email it takes me back to entering my personal information, but with no keyboard to even attempt to reenter. The advertised monitoring ability is the primary reason why I bought this product and now I’ve sunk $1500 into this (product + plumber to install), and this product has already failed to deliver. ### 1/5 — No Clue *2023-08-01, version 4.0.114* Won’t set up to my phone, iPad, or laptop. ### 1/5 — Sloppy App *2023-03-25, version 4.0.108* Register account / password loop. Hoping the system performs better ### 1/5 — Z Control System is worthless *2020-12-01, version 4.0.55* If you’re looking for “Real Time Peace of Mind,” look somewhere other than a Z Control enabled alarm. This app is a lemon—it hardly ever gives any notifications of anything it should. Technical “support” is worthless. They’ll tell you to set everything you’ve already set to get notifications, and then stop responding when they can’t figure out why the app isn’t working. In fact, the whole Z Control network works so poorly that you can’t trust it either. I’m supposed to get texts and emails of alarm conditions, but they arrive 24+ hours after the alarms happen, if I ever get them at all. The A PAK indoor alarm works fine, if you are on premises when the alarm goes off. If you are remote or don’t hear it, you better hope the water isn’t rising very fast, because your alarm notifications will be too late to be any use. In short, the Z Control network and this app give me NO peace of mind. ### 1/5 — Impossible to connect *2020-10-29, version 4.0.55* It’s insane that Zoeller even let this app launch. I’m a computer programmer by trade and Zoeller makes it impossible to add my device. This should be incredible easy to do for someone like me who deals with computers for a living. I tried every trick in the book to get my Sump Pump to connect, but it never did. It’s like Zoeller didn’t even test the app with a real sump pump to see if the app worked properly before launching it on the App Store. I can’t find anyplace to reach support for this. Worthless. ### 1/5 — Aquanot 508 sump pump- App is totally worthless.. *2026-01-03, version 5.3.0* Just had this system installed today and cannot connect to Wi-Fi after many multiple attempts, keep getting error messages. etc. Also no option to contact customer service or tech support. Self test always shows tomorrows date. You guys say how proud you are keeping this in house. Maybe it’s time to let someone who knows what they are doing take over. Response to developer 3-14-24 Did you fix the issue with the battery install date? Did you fix the issue with self testing? If not then your response has nothing to do with my original review. UPDATE Mar 2024: emblematic of the problems with the Z Control network, Zoeller posts a response *three years* after I left my review, and the response doesn’t have anything to do with what my review said. Automatic testing of the unit once weekly and sends me notification that everything is working good. I get a text within seconds after a high water is triggered. Do not listen too these other reviews. They either have poor signals or just like to complain. Customer service was great when I called to talk about dry contacts. I sent an email to Zoeller and received a reply within 2 hours to directly call the Product Support person. After a brief call the issue was fixed. Super easy to connect to Z Control and link to this app. Up and running in under 15 minutes. Now I can have complete peace of mind that the pump is working properly.
