A yahrzeit moves every year on the civil calendar. Zahor works it out for you and reminds you, year after year, so you never have to think about it. Enter the date of passing once. Zahor finds the matching Hebrew date, handles the two months of Adar in leap years and the shift at sunset, then reminds you ahead of each anniversary. A MEMORIAL FOR EACH LOVED ONE Create a page for everyone you remember: first name, Hebrew name, photo, and the memories you want to keep. Write freely, or let a few questions guide you toward what matters: a phrase they used to say, a recipe, the way they welcomed people. REMINDERS YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO CALCULATE • The exact Hebrew date of every yahrzeit, handled for you • A notification before the day, to prepare the prayers or buy the candle • A clear countdown to the next date ON THE DAY OF THE YAHRZEIT Zahor walks you through what is done, without imposing anything: light the candle, gather a minyan, know who will say Kaddish, give tzedakah, study a text. The memorial prayers and Tehillim (Psalms) are in the app, in Hebrew, with an English translation and transliteration. BEYOND YOUR OWN MEMORIES • This week's hillulot of the tzaddikim, with their biographies • The full Hebrew calendar: today's date, parsha, holidays • Today's Tehillim TOGETHER AS A FAMILY Share a memorial with your family circle: everyone sees the same dates, gets the same reminders and can add their own memories. Invite relatives to a yahrzeit with a single link. YOUR PRIVACY, RESPECTED Zahor is built with restraint. Your memories belong to you: what you write in your memorials, names, photos and texts, is never used for advertising or analytics. No ads, no in-app purchases. May their memory be a blessing. ## Is Zahor safe? Not enough ratings yet to assess Zahor. ## Is Zahor legit? Zahor: Yahrzeit Reminder has limited verification signals. THEIR AZKARA IS TODAY When you hear that today is a loved one's yahrzeit, tap "Their azkara is today", then the number of years: Zahor sets today's Hebrew date, sunset included, and schedules the reminders for the years to come. YEAR OF PASSING UNKNOWN If you know the Hebrew day and month but not the year, the memorial shows the date without making up a year, and reminders still work. FIXES • Stability improvements and small fixes Write to us if a date or a text looks wrong: those reports are the ones we handle first. ### 1.8.1 — 2026-09-25 • Memory photos now open in full screen. • Permission prompts (photos, location) now follow your iPhone's language. • Bug fixes and stability improvements. ### 1.8.0 — 2026-09-24 Zahor now speaks English, and you can sign in with Apple or Google. ZAHOR IN ENGLISH The app follows your iPhone's language, and you can change it in Settings. All 150 Tehillim, the memorial prayers, their transliteration and the tzaddikim pages are translated, so an English-speaking relative in your circle reads the same texts in their own language. SIGN IN WITH APPLE OR GOOGLE Create your account or sign in with a single tap, no password to remember. Email sign-in is still available. FAMILY CIRCLES The last member of a circle can now leave it; the circle is then deleted. FIXES • The cemetery list now covers Jewish communities across France • Picking a photo is no longer blocked by the photo library permission • The home screen tells you what's missing to schedule a reminder • Various stability improvements Write to us if a date or a text looks wrong: those reports are the ones we handle first.
