## What is Zane?

Zane is your training log, food tracker and health journal in one app, on iPhone and Apple Watch.

TRAINING
• Build your own plan or start from a ready-made program, by weekday, in a cycle or flexibly.
• Log sets, reps and weight with rest timers, warm-ups and a plate calculator that knows your bar.
• Progression suggests your next weights; deloads and cleanup weeks bring you back.
• Freestyle sessions, supersets, drop sets and cardio with pace and distance.
• See every session, personal records and how each lift develops.

APPLE WATCH
• Start today's plan day, a freestyle session or cardio on the watch.
• See the GPS route of a run, walk or ride on a map afterwards.
• Log sets with the crown, see the rest timer and the plates, and control your music.
• Check off your meds and planned food and log water, also without the iPhone nearby.

FOOD AND HEALTH
• Track food by search, barcode, label photo or a short description, with macros and a daily target.
• Plan meals, keep recipes and see what is left for the day before you log something.
• Log water, body weight, measurements, sleep, blood pressure, glucose and more.
• Keep track of vitamins, supplements and medications on a schedule.
• Connect Apple Health to bring in weight, steps and workouts and to save your workouts there.

TOGETHER
• Add friends, compare the week in private groups, cheer on live workouts and share plans.
• Work with a coach: weekly check-ins, messages, targets and plans in one place.
• Train with a gym buddy and log both of you on one phone.
• Report or block anyone from their messages, comments or profile.

MAKE IT YOURS
• Pick your Home Screen icon and its color, and the app's accent color.

PRIVACY
• Your data stays yours, and Zane does not sell it or use it for advertising.
• AI features, such as describing a meal or a weekly summary, only run after you allow them, and you can turn them off at any time.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-10-24*

There is a lot more built into this app that just a lift tracker. There is a fair amount of science behind the progression and periodization and ramping up and throttle back. Excited to see where the app takes me on my body building. Only scratched surface so far.

### 5/5 — Fantastic all in One app

*2026-10-22*

I have used this app extensively in every aspect of its function.
This single app takes the place of multiple fitness and nutrition trackers and not only combines the functions, but brings the newest tech advances to the front.
Functions like daily AI feedback and auto progressive overload send this app over the top!
I could write 20 paragraphs on every function but suffice it to say you Need this app!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-10-21*

Best lifting app I’ve used. Super customizable. Track workouts, food, CNS, medications, you name it. 5 stars

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-28

• New: a body map shows which muscles your plan trains and how many sets each gets a week. Edit a plan to find it right under Plan settings, or open a day in the plan viewer and switch between This day and Whole plan. Tap a muscle to see the exercises behind it.
• Exercises now have a primary muscle and secondary muscles. Set them when you create or edit an exercise: the primary counts fully, each secondary as half a set.
• After a workout, Muscles worked shows your sets on the body map. Tap a muscle or a chip to see which exercises worked it.
• A cardio plan can now hold up to 6 activities, each with its own target and days: pick weekdays, or tie it to your training or rest days. Add one under Activities on the plan's page, or with Add another activity when you create a plan. Home shows a row for each of today's activities.
• Edit workout can now remove a set or a whole exercise from a finished workout. Extra sets or weight a removed exercise earned in your mesocycle are taken back too.
• During a workout, drag an exercise ahead of the one coming up and it's next.
• Swipes and sheets feel smoother: move back before you let go and the swipe cancels, and you can grab a sheet again while it settles.
• The Support center got a fresh look: start a ticket with one tap on Bug, Request or Question, add a screenshot, and see each ticket's status at a glance (Settings → Support center). You can also write to us from your browser at zane-wo.com/support.
• Your watch lists each of today's cardio activities, and a walk, run or ride you record goes to the matching activity in your plan.
• Apple Health hands a recorded workout to the activity of the same sport first.
• Routes from your Apple Watch keep their points in order.
• Plus many small fixes.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-26

• New: exercises you log by distance, with or without weight, for sled pushes, sprints or carries. Pick it under Logging when you create an exercise.
• Clean up your archived exercises: Plan → Exercises → Archived → Delete unused removes every one you never logged with one tap. Any other archived exercise can be deleted on its own page, after a warning.
• Tap a finished set's weight or reps to fix it in Edit set: nothing changes until you tap Save, and your rest timer keeps running instead of starting over.
• Easy cardio (effort 1 or 2, or an Easy pace) now counts as everyday movement. It stays in your log and checks off your cardio plan, but no longer adds to your cardio totals, recaps or records.
• Forgot something? After a workout, Edit workout takes a missing exercise, an extra set or a note.
• In Plan you can swap an exercise in a day and keep its place, and move or cancel a plan version that starts later.
• In Food you can split one entry across two meals, select all entries at once, and stop or archive a meal plan.
• Health charts now reach 6 months and 1 year, and water entries can be edited.
• On your Apple Watch, the active workout time now starts after the warm-up, just like on your iPhone.
• On the watch's Controls page you can remove a set or an exercise, and cut a rest short by 30 seconds.
• Exercises you have never trained, like one you just created, now show up on the watch too.
• Plus many small fixes.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-24

• New: circuits. A few exercises in a row, round after round: as many rounds as you can in a set time, or a set number of rounds against the clock, with rests between exercises and rounds if you like.
• Add one when you edit a plan day (Add exercise → Circuit), or during any workout with + → Circuit.
• A big clock runs the circuit, timed exercises start by themselves, and when the time is up Zane asks how far you got.
• Your result shows next to last time's, after the circuit and in History.
• Your Apple Watch runs circuits too, and the Lock Screen shows the time left and the round.
• Importing a plan moved to Plan → + New plan → Import.
• Fixes, including a rare freeze right after a tap during a workout.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-23

• Your first plan becomes your active plan by itself, and Zane asks before switching when you create another one.
• A tidier workout screen: the current set sits higher, finished exercises shrink to one line, and your HCW opens its own sheet.
• New in Full mode? The welcome ends with Create my first plan.
• Discarding unsaved plan, recipe or kitchen changes takes a slide instead of typing.
• Better fit on wide and foldable iPhones.
• Fixes, including a crash when sharing as an image right after opening Zane.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-22

• New Home Screen icons: Zane, Plate or Wordmark in seven colors, under Settings → Appearance → Style → App icon.
• Cardio with GPS shows its route on a map.
• Live cardio on your phone asks what you are doing first.
• Workouts from your Zane watch show up in the Apple Health import again, and a watch cardio that went missing comes back by itself.
• Check-ins count cardio from effort 3 and a Light pace.
• Fixes, including a rare case where a log saved on another device could disappear.
