## What is Zas?

Send anything to your own devices — instantly, privately, and without the clutter.

Zas moves a file, photo, video, or note from one of your devices to the others the moment you tap send. It shows up in real time, ready to open or save. When you're done, it clears itself, so nothing piles up and nothing lingers.

WHY ZAS
• Instant across your devices — send from your phone, and it's on your other devices right away.
• Encrypted before upload — Zas encrypts content on your device. Storage receives encrypted bytes. The service keeps the account, channel, delivery, and expiry metadata needed to sync and remove items.
• Big files in a blink — Zas recognizes content it has seen before, so a file you already sent goes through in about a second, whatever its size.
• Cleans up after itself — items disappear after five days by default. Want to keep one? Pin it, and it stays until you let go.
• Share your way — open a channel with someone, or make it read-only so they can view and download but not change a thing. React to items with a tap.
• On every screen — on your iPhone and on the web, always in sync.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Sign in with Google or Apple — no new password.
2. Tap send and pick a file, photo, or video, or paste text.
3. It appears on your other devices in seconds. Open it, save it, or let it expire.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Zas encrypts content on your device before upload. Storage receives encrypted bytes. The service keeps the account, channel, delivery, and expiry metadata needed to sync and remove items.

Send to your devices. Share with your people. Leave nothing behind.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.23 — 2026-10-09

What you keep in your Private channel now stays private: it has no link, no Share nearby and no sending to another app. The menu tells you why and offers to move the item to another channel, where you can share it. File rows now show only the ⋯ button: tap the row to save or open the file. And if you try to create an account with a temporary email address, Zas now tells you why it cannot, instead of showing a general error.

### 2.22 — 2026-10-03

The menu of each item is clearer. The ⋯ button is bigger and sits apart from the download button, so you no longer start a download by mistake. The menu now opens from the bottom of the screen: first the main action (download, open or copy the text), with where the file goes; then the ways to share, then the ways to organize, and delete last. In your Private channel, Zas now tells you why an item has no share link, and lets you move it to a channel where you can share it. Also: when you accept an invitation to a channel, Zas takes you straight to that channel, also when it belongs to an organization or when you were already a member. If the connection fails while you open an invitation, a shared link or a Share nearby code, Zas lets you try again. And if an organization does not let you in, Zas tells you why.

### 2.20 — 2026-10-03

Nearby sharing now looks for phones side by side, without requiring them to touch. You still choose the recipient and they confirm acceptance. This update also improves interrupted-send retries, QR request recovery, Bluetooth readiness, and existing-connection settings.

### 2.18 — 2026-10-02

Share nearby, in beta, is now clearer. In an organization you see it tagged "Personal only", with an explanation: during the beta you share from your Personal workspace, and you can still receive in the organization. If your personal storage is full, Zas tells you before it makes the code or the offer. With the QR code, the item is copied only when you allow it, once. And if a send cannot finish, the other person no longer gets an empty offer. We also fixed a bug: after you received by QR code from someone you already share a channel with, the items in that channel could stop opening until you restarted Zas.

### 2.17 — 2026-10-01

New, in beta: Share nearby. Hold the back of your iPhone against another phone with Zas open to send it an item, or show a code the other person scans with their Camera. Nothing arrives until the other person accepts it, and you can keep a channel between the two of you that does not count toward your channel limit. Share nearby works from personal Zas; you can receive in any workspace. And if you use Zas in an organization, your personal storage and each organization's storage are now separate: what you keep in the organization no longer uses your personal storage, and Zas applies the organization's limits, also when you share from other apps.
