### 1/5 — Disappointing Launch: Great Deals, But No Rides and False Promises

This is my first review ever on the App Store, and unfortunately, it’s for Zed’s because my experience has been a total letdown. Don’t get me wrong—the app’s marketing is spot on. They’re running a big campaign with tons of ads and killer offers that actually make their base prices cheaper than competitors like Uber or Careem. I’ve seen two 60% off deals pop up, plus up to four 50% discounts, and even a weekend special at 50% off (capped at 40 EGP, but still solid). If you’re looking for value, that’s a huge win.
But here’s where it all falls apart: there are basically NO DRIVERS! My very first order went through right after downloading—I ended up in a car with a driver who was on his debut trip too (awkward, but okay). Since then? Nothing. I’ve tried ordering rides 3-4 times a day, waiting forever, only for them to cancel every single time. No available drivers, no explanations, just endless disappointment. All those amazing discounts are useless if I can’t actually get from A to B. I’ve been patient, retrying constantly, but it’s clear the driver network isn’t there yet. How can you launch with hype like this without the basics in place?
Worse, the app straight-up lies about features. It boasts a partnership with Watchit for entertainment during rides—total fiction, nothing there. And the “games” section? Also nonexistent. It’s like they copied a competitor’s app description without building any of it.
Overall, Zed’s has massive potential with the pricing and promos, but right now, it’s unusable. Fix the driver availability and deliver on those promised perks, and I’ll happily update this to 5 stars. For now, though? Steer clear unless you enjoy frustration. Fingers crossed for quick improvements!
