Only works with files in your “Photos” library
Doesn’t work with files outside the Photos app. Tried adding a video file with “Browse Files” and it just says “Not Available”. Already granted full network and file access to the app.

Zee Cast is probably one of the most straightforward casting apps I’ve used. It basically turns your iPhone into a private media server so you can stream photos and videos straight to a smart TV over Wi-Fi, without needing cloud uploads or accounts. Everything stays local on your network, which I really like from a privacy standpoint.
Setup is quick—add your media, turn on sharing, connect to your TV, and you’re done. I also like that it keeps running in the background so I can still use my phone while stuff is playing on the TV.
No ads, no tracking, no weird extra features trying to shove content at you. It’s just a clean, simple tool that does what it’s supposed to do.
It works well and feels intentional, not bloated or overcomplicated. I’d recommend it if you just want a private, no-nonsense way to stream your own media to a TV.
