The app is fairly navigable however, it constantly adds you to colleges you’re not interested in and that you’ve already elected not to be added to. It’s really annoying and it feels like it constantly hounds you to join new chats even after you’ve selected where you’re going. It’s not a dealbreaker for the app, but definitely something that could be improved. ### 4/5 — Good app, however there are many bots *2026-03-27, version 5.10.24* Personally, I’ve found ZeeMee to be so funny and cool to have since the people I’ve met made it worthwhile, however there have been several times where random bots pretend to be an incoming college student and ask for peoples phone numbers to then threaten them and I believe also steal their money. It’s becoming a great issue and it concerns me since people may not know about that yet and give out their numbers in hopes of making friends for college. I hope you guys come up with som type of verification system or something to lessen the ability for bots to take advantage of incoming college students. Unfortunately, the UI is a bit slow to respond with every button press, and the app sometimes suddenly crashes whenever I’m in the middle of typing. It’s really annoying cos it force-quits the app and deletes everything I was trying to say. Not even sure if she’s a girl college student. She tried to get personal bank information from me. I downloaded the app and joined the group because thought it might help me learn some things I might wanna know. It didn’t. The group itself was fine, but the app has a weird vibe, almost like it’s some kind of dating app. Anyway, if any parents see this, you probably shouldn’t let your kid download the app. ### 1/5 — Ewww just stop *2026-01-18, version 5.10.18* I’m usually one for writing positive reviews but this is more of a PSA. DON’T use this app! No body from my college actually ever messaged me. Go a DM from a someone that didn’t have a profile that a couldn’t read. Possibly a bot the app didn’t say. Then I got a DM from some random thirty-something year old man that’s not even attending a college from the other side of the country saying, “hey pretty”! 🤢🤮This is just disgusting. I had what college I’m currently attending and stuff posted. The concept of this app is amazing; however, my app always says I have more messages than I can see, and the chat bot seems to have a inconsistent flagging system for spam, as single messages are signaled but real spam is not. With that, the notifications for this app are incredibly annoying as false-alerts are often sent out signaling that “_____ got accepted to a new school” or my own messages showing as notifications but what other people send do not come through. I want to disable them because of their issues, but without notifications enabled, you cannot see things like profile views.
