Contacted Zego the app said it was driving breaks that knocked my score down even though I drive 20 mins to work and 20 mins back per day 🤷‍♂️ Contacted Zego they said it was my breaking not rest breaks that was causing my score to go down , which tells me the app is broke . How can you improve your driving if the app is giving you the wrong information ? So another month goes by and my score drops to 4 and now it’s 0 and at risk . Literally drive 40 mins a day 5 days a week , don’t speed , take risks and brake well in advance since I spoke to Zego but still getting an at risk score . My advice to anyone thinking about going with Zego is to avoid at all costs it’s not worth all the stress and hassle . If you are going to have to get a black box to keep your insurance down go with someone that actually installs one and not rely on these with their broken app ### 1/5 — Didn’t Help When I Needed It *2026-08-18* Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Zego based on my recent experience. I have fully comprehensive insurance with breakdown cover. When I got a punctured tyre and contacted Zego for assistance, I was referred to Bastion for breakdown support. Bastion asked me to upload my Vehicle Insurance Certificate and Breakdown Policy Schedule. I uploaded the documents available to me, but they confirmed that while the Vehicle Insurance Certificate was accepted, they specifically required a Breakdown Policy Schedule. However, when I checked the Zego app, there was no Breakdown Policy Schedule available. Instead, the policy section displayed an error: “We’re sorry, we ran into an issue loading this page.” I contacted Zego through live chat at around 6pm, but was told that their live chat operates from 9am–5pm Monday to Friday and that I would need to contact them the following day. The chat was then ended, leaving me without assistance despite having breakdown cover. I understand that procedures and documentation are necessary, but I was disappointed that there was no practical solution or emergency support available when I actually needed it. I hope Zego reviews this process so customers with breakdown cover can receive assistance when they need it most. ### 1/5 — Most terrible customer service *2026-07-28, version 3.5.1* Terrible customer service if you will stuck in claims or even in anything where you need to talk to them they will never call you they have no service to attend the call . They will ask you to message and then u will wait for hours to get reply. In my real-world experience, the app repeatedly recorded motorcycle journeys as car journeys, resulting in an extremely poor driving score and even a warning that my policy could be cancelled. Once I asked the backend team to remove the motorcycle trips, my score returned to a good level. If you have more than one way of getting around, be prepared for the ongoing admin of checking and correcting your trips. It may work well for drivers who only ever use one vehicle, but my proven experience has been that the app cannot distinguish between vehicles (even though they’ll insist it can). ### 5/5 — Safer Driving *2026-07-23, version 3.5.0* This App in the 1st week has helped me more assertive driver to improve my driving skills. The customer support is only in the words as they take ages to respond. If they transfer the call to any other department then forget about it . They stole money from account without a notice and when i try to talk to them no satisfactory response but waste of time . Response time is unimaginable.
