VISUCONSULT® 500 is built to provide step by step support from when the patient enters the vision centre until they contentedly leave with their new pair of glasses. It guides the eye care professional throughout the entire consultation by integrating patient and visits management, comprehensive eye examination, centration performance, frame consultation and lens demonstration with the possibility to order through ZEISS VISUSTORE. Thus, it covers the entire ECP value chain while facilitating the interaction with the patient.

# Storage of patient-related data captured with Zeiss devices
VISUCONSULT® 500 is intended to create an Eye Care Professional eco-system that stores patients’ data and displays information processed by ZEISS devices. Data from patients´ visits are stored to respective profiles to review or continue with the consultation another time. It will be saved locally on a ZEISS server and can be accessed via the network. If patients have to leave before the consultation is finished, this allows continuing with the information that has been collected so far when they return.

- Access to historical data in new consultations: with this new feature, users will be enabled to access historical refractive and centration data stored in previous visits and use it in a new consultation.
- Keyboard support improvements: for users who operate VISUCONSULT 500 with a computer, this new upgrade offers enhancements to easily perform the centration workflow using the keyboard instead of the computer mouse. This will ultimately help increasing efficiency and accuracy through the consultation process.
 
Bug fixes:
- Lab report is now fixed to adjust the content in a one pager.
- Patient report optimizes now the spaces between sections to avoid printing more pages than needed.
- b2boptics file is now reinforced to allow users to export without waiting in between exports.
- Additional smaller bugs and improvements to ensure a proper operation of the system.
