### 2/5 — File system needs work

*2025-02-15, version 9.2.3*

The interface is nice, but uploading assets to check gps needs work. The only wat is to individually select the photos…not practical for more than like 20 photos. Let us select a folder, that would fix it.

### 3/5 — Glitches

*2025-01-07, version 9.2.3*

Lots of glitches. May not allow you to accept missions.

### 1/5 — Scam. Not worth the effort.

*2024-09-12, version 9.2.3*

Completed a job weeks ago and still haven’t been paid. Numerous other issues with communication from the company. Total headache to deal with.

### 1/5 — Would rate it 0 stars

*2024-07-12, version 9.2.3*

Such a pointless app. Unless you live in the same city as the job it’s not worth it. They severely undercut the drone operators while they do the easy work and make 10x as much as you do. Start paying pilots more!!

### 1/5 — Asleep at the Wheel

*2024-06-21, version 9.2.3*

The owners Zeitview appear to be completely asleep at the wheel. I booked a flight through the app. The instructions were somewhat vague and there were several instances of conflicting information. I made several attempts to contact Zeitview for clarification, but no one could be bothered to respond. Additionally, this company appears to charge the clients astronomical rates and pays almost nothing out to the pilots who are actually doing the work. The example photos show rates to the pilots at $300+. When, in reality, you’ll be lucky to be offered anything more than $100 for several hours worth of work.

### 1/5 — Pretty bad

*2024-06-06, version 9.2.3*

Accrpted a job with extra complications (no LAANC possible w/o special authorization), only to get cancelled the night before. Then the same job was offered a week later. Accepted it again, wasted three hours with travel to find aggressive birds and poor GPS precision (half block off) due to highrises made the job not feasible. Reported it back, all I got were automated pushy "it's time to upload the pictures" e-mails and mindless operator responses. They don't care about you, they only care about finding lots of drone enthusiasts they can abuse to make money.

### 1/5 — Pilots Getting Robbed

*2024-06-01, version 9.2.3*

Once this was good, but now after 4 years, the amount of money they pay for missions, and how often they require the pilot to do it all over and then not pay the amount offered has caused me to stop flying for this outfit. Holdout pilots, don’t accept the missions until they pay what it’s worth, usually 3x’s what they initially offer. Seriously, don’t be cheap, they’re making a fortune on your efforts and continue to make it more difficult to get paid.

### 1/5 — App won’t connect to drone

*2024-05-17, version 9.2.3*

After doing all the suggested troubleshooting from Zeitview still can’t connect. Still can’t get support from anybody at the company. Vague general answers from the support from a different Philippine person every time too.

### 1/5 — Always an insult.

*2024-04-17, version 9.2.3*

Between the app that logs you out constantly, the time wasting missionss they send on, and the ridiculous issues withh uploading and missions rejected for ridiculous things, this is not a serious service.

### 1/5 — Asleep at the Wheel

*2024-03-13*

The owners of this app appear to be completely asleep at the wheel. I booked a flight through the app. The instructions were somewhat vague and there were several instances of conflicting information. ### 1/5 — Horrible app!!

*2024-02-25, version 9.2.3*

As a pilot trying to complete uploading my first gig/mission for this service it’s mostly a waste of time as it wouldn’t let me complete the upload of my last image in order to submit it neither in the app nor on their website and when I click on certain tabs like contact it doesn’t even work. Not even a phone number to get real time help! One of the absolute worst apps out there. It looks like it was developed in a hurry and by amateurs. Avoid this app at all costs until it gets seriously overhauled.

### 1/5 — PILOTS BEWARE

*2024-02-03, version 9.2.3*

The app is pretty cool, however the procedure they have started following is horrible. They pushed a mission out for $140, after I accepted the mission, it changed to $70 and changed the fly time. I had reached out to them about the difference and they said it was a “technical error” meaning they messed up. I was still willing to do the mission but had requested it have the original date. They confirmed that the mission got rescheduled to the original date. I had to drive 45 min to do the mission. When I went to “check in” for the mission it wasn’t there in the app, but since they said they were having “technical difficulties” I had figured something was wrong, and continued to fly. I should mention I did reach out to them about the mission not being in the app anymore before flying and they didn’t respond, so since I had the location and shot list, I flew it. Come to find out, they had cancelled the mission without notifying me, and when I finally got a hold of them, they tried to putting it all back on me. Once I showed them all the email proof that they confirmed the mission for me and there was no correspondence about it being cancelled they stopped replying and did t pay me anything for the travel. Honestly I get drone jobs by myself as much as they put out, and I charge around $250 for the same jobs these guys are paying $70 for. If you’re really needing money, or just doing it as a hobby, it’s great, but if you want to make some money, honestly just post on social you do drone work, and you can triple you’re income and cut out the middle man.

### 1/5 — Just awful

*2024-01-24, version 9.2.3*

In six months it has never sent me a job alert. I even put the range at 500 miles from the major city I live in.

Don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Used to be great.

*2023-12-12, version 9.2.3*

I have been with them since 2017. They definitely have changed. I used to make 150 for the same job they pay 70 now. It’s over saturated I know but the fact that they don’t reward the long standing pilots. The jobs are only sent to a select few. The ones that don’t ask questions. I you have a dispute with someone from the company good luck with ever seeing a notification for a job. It’s sad because I liked the owners in the beginning but money and greed changes people. New pilots. Go elsewhere. Droners.io pays more still for our skills.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2023-07-20*

This app doesn't support DJI Air 2s and insists you own the latest Iphone. Its not worth upgrading your tech for this app when other apps already support my tech.

Maybe when the company can accomplish what others already do; i’ll revisit it.

### 1/5 — No work being sent

*2023-04-30, version 9.2.2*

After finishing creating my profile I was so excited to start working and started waiting for my first job to pop up. It has been over 4 months and haven’t been sent any tasks and have contacted support twice about it and never got any responses back as if I’m being ignored.

Don’t waist your time the very few amount of jobs I get off Droners.io is more then what I’ve been able to find here.

Their pilots make an average of $60K not from her they ain’t.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-04-17, version 9.2.1*

This company is garbage. They will change contracts after you agree and not even tell you until the morning of the job. Then they always say there’s something wrong and can’t use anything, even though it all automated flights…

### 1/5 — Would be okay if it WORKED

*2023-02-15, version 9.2*

Have jumped through all the hoops and set up a profile. According to the instructions you have to upload a photo of your license in order to get missions to fly. However, after approximately 30 ATTEMPTS to get it to SAVE my photo that I uploaded, it’s still not there. In other words, this thing is a brick as there won’t be any work coming your way without the photo……….what a joke

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2023-02-12, version 9.2*

Bottom line. The company grossly underpays drone pilots. They pay a fraction of what should be paid for these jobs. And on top of that they expect the world in return. Drone Pilots DO NOT USE this platform. Companies like this should be put out of business.

### 1/5 — Another middle man scam

*2023-01-29, version 9.1.4*

Seriously F this company. Impossible to work with. The amount of money they take in and make it impossible to get paid for will speak for itself over time when they fail. 100% example of bad management. I hope you get sued.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Illegal

*2026-03-21, version 9.2.5*

Ive done about 65 jobs for these people. At the time, I was in desperate need and got lucky they just so happened to be posting jobs in NYC area. Here is my issue, these people will send you anywhere! It does not matter to them whether the airspace is restricted or not, in fact they do not check. They actually leave it up to the pilot to find out himself and potentially get in trouble. Never received a permit for any site. why? because a permit cost $150 and these guys pay $50 to $150 per job if you’re lucky. Here is the second biggest problem.. insurance companies hire these people to secretly take photos! This one almost got me arrested! They sent me to a ladies house on private property to take photos, this lady came out yelling threatening to call the cops on me! And im like “mam im the pilot from Dronebase! (Which was the base at the time) she was very confused, made me delete all the photos and told me get off the property asap. One time i emailed them about nee drone laws in nyc.. that was the last job I ever got 😂😭😂😭😂. You cannot be aware or question when working for dronebase they will block you. Worst company I ever worked for. Very nice app, very unique business for my area. But terrible experience. I will never go back

### 1/5 — More clowns than McDonalds

*2025-10-16, version 9.2.5*

The experience with Zeitview has gone from barely passable to very laughable. This is a company in trouble and will do everything in their power to show you they no longer comprehend English.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-09-22, version 9.2.4*

First off, the payout for these jobs is ridiculous. Usually starting at $70, sometimes less. A hoard of pilots willing to travel long distances for $70, so it doesn’t really have a chance to increase in price. Also I signed up for multiple jobs that were a ways away but they were all kinda close to each other. One of the jobs I submitted they said it was not the right weather conditions when it clearly was. Told them they could use my perfectly good photos or they could put the listing back up for someone else to get it because I’m not driving all the back over there for $70. They never put the job back up so I assume they used my photos and they never paid me for it even after reaching out multiple times. Scam.

### 1/5 — Sign in / Logout

*2025-09-19, version 9.2.4*

I tried login in. Then the app just log you out automatically. It shows “You’ve have been logged out” everytime you try to login. Please fix this.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-06-23, version 9.2.3*

Absolutely a waste of time and their pay might as well be nothing. I wouldn’t work for them unless you’re just looking to get some experience flying and don’t care about the money

### 1/5 — Grossly overcharging clients while grossly underpaying pilots!

*2025-06-03, version 9.2.3*

This app and this entire company is a joke. Right now the industry standard is about $150, meaning most pilots won't even put their drone in the air for less than $150. Zeitview is nothing more than a price gouging middleman, charging clients upwards of $400-$500 while only paying pilots $70 on average. Just look at the other reviews and ratings, they are literally charging clients 3-4 times what they should be and only paying pilots half of what they should be getting. If you are a pilot, do yourself a favor and advertise your services on social media and run far away from Zeitview and don't look back.
If you are a client, also do yourself and your wallet a favor and don't feed into price gouging middlemen, search on social media for local Part 107 certified drone pilots, there are nearly half a million of us in the United States as of April 2025 and we are all desperately searching for consistent fair paying work!

### 1/5 — Not worth anyone’s time!

*2024-10-04, version 9.2.3*

The pay penny’s to the dollar and it’s not worth your time. You’d be better off flying jobs for a client for free to gain experience and connections. No one should be driving 10 miles round trip plus 2 hours on site for $70. Look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Your time is better spent working for Uber

*2024-09-26, version 9.2.3*

Not one deal on here will turn a profit. If you want to fly this because you think it would be fun, knock yourself out. If you want to make an actual profit from this, you will not make more than minimum wage if you are lucky.

### 1/5 — What to expect

*2024-09-16, version 9.2.3*

The pay from their apps will put you out of business, one mission at a time. Watch as you lose money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

*2020-09-17, version 4.8*

It teaches the ropes and the team is very helpful.

### 5/5 — Great company

*2020-07-05, version 4.6.4*

Very responsive and quick to resolve problems.

### 5/5 — Incredible company

*2020-07-05, version 4.6.4*

Great business model and service. Exactly what I was looking for.

### 5/5 — Great company

*2019-09-29, version 3.6.0*

I have been with them two years and it has been some rough periods of business. They are consistently looking for new ways to improve and offer more services for clients. The industry is still new and not everyone knows what a drone can do for them. It’s a process and with the growth steadily increasing I think in a couple years pilots will be able to make a decent income flying with dronebase. I’m rooting for them and their success. I have learned a lot doing over 130 missions for them. Practice practice practice and I’m getting better by the job. Thanks Dronebase.

### 5/5 — Received Payment for my first job

*2019-06-13*

I am picky on which jobs I select so it has taken several months for a job to appear that I wanted, but I have completed it, sent my photos in, and received payment. My area isn’t as populated so I couldn’t make a full time job out of this, but I look forward to doing more jobs.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2018-06-07, version 2.7*

The missions are well documented with what is expected. Payment is received quickly after the work is done. Have dealt with support once and they really quick to assist. Just an all around great experience

### 5/5 — Win/Win Partnership with DroneBase!

*2018-06-06, version 2.7*

DroneBase has given me confidence that real money can be made flying drones as a side-hustle.

My flying skill-set has improved dramatically performing Client Missions.

Keep up the innovative missions, fair pay & this will be a win/win for DroneBase & Independent Contractors!

### 5/5 — Wow, great company to fly for!!!!

*2018-05-03*

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this company. They are fast to reply to any of my emails, even if it is just to ask general questions. I recently had an issue with a mission that was 50 miles away, and couldn't complete it do to complications with the management. Dronebase gave me a payment for my drive; that was definitely nice of them to do that. Also, Qwil, which is the payment system they use is fine, as long as it is set up ;) It does take a week or 2 for the money to be deposited in your bank, but you can pay a tiny fee for same day transfer; Qwil isn’t perfect, but it’s not the worse thing. I really cant wait to see what this company has coming down the line, but I will be ready! Thanks DroneBase for a great experience!!!

### 5/5 — Very easy to use.

*2018-03-30, version 2.5*

I have flown about a dozen missions so far and the app makes scheduling and checking missions super easy when in the field. In fact, I usually use it instead of the browser interface because it is so easy.

### 5/5 — Would like more preferences

*2017-12-01*

I have flown over 40 Client missions, in excess of $3,000 in earnings with them. I would like to see them go to a merit based Client assignment for those of us who have stuck with them to make it more reliable for them to project who is available in which region.
Fail to see the "scam" everyone is so quick to cry about. Don't fly pano's if you don't want to. No one is twisting your arm. Wait for the Client ones. Geez. And grow up a little.
