## What is Zemi?

Zemi is a creative space for abstract origami, geometric paper structures, and ideas shaped through folds.
A sheet begins as a quiet surface.
Then a crease introduces direction. Repetition creates rhythm. Tension becomes structure. Light reveals a form that did not exist before.
Zemi is made for people who treat folding as a visual language rather than a set of instructions.
— STUDY THE STRUCTURE —
Explore guided folding sessions built around geometry, modular relationships, balance, negative space, and material behavior.
Follow organized materials and folding stages, then examine the final structure through alignment, tension, and stability checks.
— BUILD A FOLD ARCHIVE —
Create Fold Notes with original photographs and record the thinking behind each experiment.
Document paper weight, crease direction, repeated units, color relationships, unexpected failures, and structural discoveries. Finished pieces and unfinished studies can live together as part of the same evolving practice.
— ENTER THE CIRCLE —
Discover abstract folds and paper studies shared by other makers.
Appreciate thoughtful work, exchange observations, discuss techniques, and ask focused questions when a structure refuses to settle into place.
Join circles dedicated to modular systems, geometric forms, color studies, tessellations, experimental folding, and paper construction.
— FOLLOW THE PROCESS —
Take part in creative challenges that turn repeated practice into a visible sequence.
The 7 Days Origami Challenge invites you to make and document one fold each day. The goal is not seven perfect objects, but a clearer understanding of how an idea changes through paper.
— GATHER AROUND PAPER —
Explore upcoming folding sessions with detailed schedules, materials, skill levels, accessibility notes, and participation information.
